Now, I've already made it clear I'm opposed to the death penalty from a fundamental viewpoint, but as long as it is on the books, I can't see any line of reasoning that would allow Terry Nichols to escape from it. He's already received life without parole from a separate trial, so there's no worry of him ever getting out, but this still seems very strange. It's not like the case was circumstancial or something.
