Results from IWS "V"

Just got home from what was the most amazing and most HORRIFYING moment of my life. I unfortunately missed the preshow due to being lost...so I'm sure someone else can cover that. I won't be going into great detail on what happened (that's Llakor's job). Just some thoughts and who won. Anyways...to the show (in no particular order other than how I remember them).

SLI vs. the New Breed (for the tag titles)

I really enjoyed this match. Tons of stiffness.

winners and still champs: SLI

Kevin Steen vs. Excess 69 (number one conteder for Heavyweight title)

AWESOME. I'd have to see it on tape to tell if it was better than their encounter at UnF'nSanctioned, but I loved this match.

winner and number one contender: Kevin Steen

Beef Wellington vs. a Bear

Less than seriously...match of the fucking year. Seriously...one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Brilliant. Bears fear Cows (even cows with one "leg" missing (or arm...depending how you look at it).

winner and king of all animals: Beef Wellington

PCO vs. El Generico for the Heavyweight Title

This match was frickin hot. The crowd was SOOOO into it that at the end they exploded. Steen came out, distracted Peece, and Generico did a quick roll up for the win.

winner and NEW IWS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: El Generico

Unfortunately, Steen wanted his title shot then and there. Generico was pretty tuckered out and Steen got the win.

winner and new IWS heavyweight champion: Kevin Steen (booo (hehehe))

Tag Team Rumble (winner becomes number one conteneder for tag titles (held by SLI))

This was fucking crazy. I honestly can't tell you EVERYONE that was in it, but I'll try my hardest.

Fred le Merveille and Marc le Grizzly

Dan Paysan and Tomassino

Los Latinos

the Flying Hurricanes

Crazy Crusher and "Motivator of Madness" (I'll explain later)

T-Unit

The Kid Kamikaze Experience (featuring Kurt Lauderdale)

Two teams I didn't know but marked out for none-the-less

and........

PCO and SID FUCKING VICIOUS

Highly entertaining match that saw tons of crazyness. Turns out the "motivator" was actually Nightmare Manson...so yes...ER ARE BACK!!!! Once Peece and Sid hit the ring they cleared house. It ended up being a normal tag match between PCO and Sid vs. Thhe Kid Kamikaze Experience (featuring Kurt Lauderdale).

I spent most of the time worrying that Sid was going to blow a move and paralyze someone, so I don't remember much other than PCO and Sid winning.

winners and number one contenders for the tag titles: PCO and Sid.

Here comes the most horrifying/frustrating moment of my life. Sid gets on the fucking mic, and cuts a 30 FUCKING MINUTE PROMO about "the new shit." What the fuck it is, i have no clue, but I was about to go genocidal at this bullshit. It was funny for the first 4 minutes, then it all went downhill. The crowd, which was initially pro Sid, turned on him. I seriously wanted to cry.

NOW...THE DEATHMATCH!!!

Arsenal and Hardcore Ninja vs. Green Phantom and Sexxxy Eddie (w/ special guest ref PCP Crazy F'n Manny)

Words cannot give an accurate representation of this match. Tons of light tubes. Two panes of glass (one which was CAUGHT ON FIRE). By the end, everyone was cut to hell including Manny. It was beautifully violent.

winners: Green Phantom and Sexxxy Eddie

After this match all the combatants got in the ring along with Brian the Guppie and Manny (who could be considered a combatant) and they thanked everyone and eachother while the fans chanted "Thank You," "Five Fucking Years," "Thank You Manny" and "I-W-S!!" Fucking awesome ending to an awesome show. No amount of drunken rambling can squash that.

Thank you to everyone in the IWS and the fans in attendance. That was an awesome experience.

I guess SID is done bleeding out the lawsuit/buyout money and is forced to put his act back on the indy scene.

The Official Results of "V"

Sid Vicious shocked the wrestling world last night making a startling return to active wrestling in Montreal, Quebec, Canada during the fifth anniversary show of the Internet Wrestling Syndicate. Sid Vicious teamed with Pierre Carl Ouellet to win a ten team tag rumble to a thunderous reception by the IWS faithful. Sid Vicious had been inactive since January 2001 when he snapped his leg in a grisly accident during a WCW pay-per-view. Many people assumed that he would never wrestle again.

The IWS fifth anniversary show, simply called "V", began with le Syndicat de Lutte Internet, Viking and Damian, defending their IWS tag title belts against the New Breed, DJ Sick and Hellstorm. The SLI have a reputation for brutalizing tag teams that speak English. Last night, they proved that they have no problem being equally stiff with a francophone team from Quebec City like the New Breed. While DJ Sick and Hellstorm proved their skill, the SLI continued their dominance winning after 10:46 with their trademark finisher "Le Tueur des Policiers."

In what many people are calling the match of the night, Kevin Steen defeated his long-time rival, the baby-oil phenom EXcesS69, in a match that combined technical wrestling, high flying and the bad temper thuggery that is quickly becoming a Kevin Steen trademark. As a result of a stipulation agreed to by Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris before the match by beating EXcesS69, which Steen did in 14:39 with a package pile driver, he earned the right to a shot at the IWS title.

In a rare man-animal inter-species match, Beef Wellington was able to overcome a bear. Mind you, Beef was only able to pin the bear after the ursine grappler was distracted by a timely run-in by a three-legged cow. Beef won the match in 5:53 with his crowd-pleasing ass punch.

To the shocked approval of the crowd, El Generico stunned Pierre Carl Ouellet with a flash pin to steal PCO's IWS title after 4:38 (and after a timely distraction by Kevin Steen.) But El Generico and the crowd did not have long to celebrate, as Kevin Steen ambushed El Generico declaring that he was taking his title shot right away. Despite a valiant effort by the masked Mexican, Kevin Steen won the match with the package pile driver after 53 seconds to claim the IWS title.

The new team of Sid Vicious and Pierre Carl Ouellet won the ten team tag rumble beating the teams of the Flying Hurricanes, 2.0, the Masked Assassins, Dan Paysan and Tomassino, Dolla Bill and Big Larry aka T-Unit, Los Latinos, Fred le Merveille and Marc le Grizzly, and the newly reformed team of Crazy Crusher and Nightmare Manson, Extreme Revolution. Manson came to the ring disguised as the Motivator of Madness, Crusher's manager, revealing his true identity to help Crusher eliminate Fred le Merveille. The only time to have any sort of success against PCO and Sid were the Kid Kamikaze Experience featuring Kurt Lauderdale, with Kurt Lauderdale measuring up surprisingly well to Sid Vicious. In the end, experience triumphed over desire as Sid Vicious and PCO used the old Quebecker's finisher, the assisted Cannonball to polish Kurt off and win the Rumble at 32:14.

As the Green Phantom has said the IWS began in a pit of ultraviolence. “V” ended with a bit of that old ultraviolence with five men who helped start the IWS: the Green Phantom and his partner Sexxxy Eddy, the Arsenal and his partner Evil Ninja, and special guest referee, PCP Crazy F’N Manny. It was an old school IWS death match that saw the wrestlers break out light tubes, glass and fire, in an insane display equal parts courage and sadism. The Green Phantom and Sexxxy Eddy beat Evil Ninja and the Arsenal in 19:02 after the Green Phantom Phantasmed Evil Ninja through a burning pane of glass.

The next IWS show is Hardcore Heat, Saturday, July 10th at La Spag, 2915 Ontario Est, two blocks from Metro Frontenac. Doors open at 8:00 pm, IWS Bloodstream begins at 8:30 pm, show starts at 9:00 pm. Tickets are fifteen dollars. I heard from referee P-Nut, that Sid was most likely high on crack that night

Anyway, it was an excellent show nonetheless but that "New Shit" crap took EVERYONE out of it. I've never seen a crowd turn on a guy like that. He had us in the palm of his hand as he came out to thunderous cheers but then...ugh. Chants from the crowd during that segment: "Shut the fuck up!", "Please go away!", and when it was over "What the fuck was that?". It was SURREAL...I mean Sid even had a midget with him!

It's a shame cause, with the exception of this, the show was incredible! This indy fed deserves more recognition but it is Quebec based so I understand why it doesn't.

KEVIN STEEN IS CHAMP! FUCK YES! :headbang:

Damn it. And I just deleted his ass from EWR.

Does he suck any less?

Does he suck any less?

They booked Sid the way he should be booked...

He basically destroyed the opposition. In other words, he hit his three moves (all really well though, especially a boot to the face that looked nasty as hell) then it was over. It wasn't a short match but PCO did most of the work.

Anyway, I loved the match but not the promo (of course).

Seriously though Llakor, The tapes/DVD's do take their sweet time to come out.

Aren't the PPV's specifically for Viewer's Choice Canada? If so, tough luck I guess for guys like Modes or Jay who want to see it.

Courtesy of Llakor and wrestlingclassics.com message board:

HISTORY OF THE ASS-PUNCH

Beef Wellington's top rope ass punch is the most over move in Quebec by a huge margin.

He started using the move in January of 2003, when he was wrestling in the tag team Hi-5 with Kid Kamikaze. At the time they were IWS tag team champions, defending their titles against Los Latinos. Beef climbed to the top rope to puch Latino Mysterio (inspired apparently by a joke by Rob Schneider in Deuce Bigalow) Beef claims otherwise, but I am pretty sure that it was intended as a one-off joke to mock the Latinos.

Beef ended up breaking his hand on Latino Mysterio's rock-hard ass. (The technical term for the injury was Trans Meta Carpal Fracture) Beef was disgusted at getting the dumbest wrestling injury ever.

When Beef fought Latino Mysterio in the inevitable "You broke my hand with your ass Revenge match" the crowd went nuts demanding the ass punch... and it has been over ever since.

-----

BTW, I forgot to mention that I've never popped for a move like I did when The Bear put Beef Wellington in a dreaded BEARHUG~! (that got the 3rd biggest pop of the night behind Sid and El Generico's title win)

I just caught the hype video for the "V" show.

It was the perfect mix of insane deathmatch spots, head-drops, lesbians, and topless chicks.

The toplessness and the lesbians kinda caught me off guard however. When and why did those happen?

The dual toplessness happened at Know Your Enemies 2004 (Seska and some very tan broad who got topless at UnF'nSanctioned as well).

The toplessness on the dude with the red shirt happened at Body Count 2003 (Elsa and Violent Ray (a fan)).

The wet toplessness occurred at Violent Valentine 2003 (some random chick I don't know).

Not sure where the lesbian kiss happened though, but it was between Elsa and Seska.
