Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk- RoH world title match was the Match of the Year. Everything about it was great. Every move ment something. It was such a great match my 9 year old brother (who isn't that bright) picked up on the story of the match. The fact that it was a draw did nothing to tarnish the match. Homicides run in post match did nothing either. Punk's promo afterwards only cemented it as THE match of the year. In my opinion.

How would you compare it to London/Dragon (4.12)?

Well, I obviously haven't seen 6/12 yet, and I've heard a lot of hype about the eight man from 5/22 which I also haven't seen.

 

At this point, I'll go with Bryan Danielson vs. Homicide from ROH Reborn II (4/24). Danielson working over the hand to avoid Homicide's punches was great. I loved Danielson going ape shit and slamming the ring bell on Cide's hand. The only thing that could have improved it would have been Cide winning with the Cop Killa. He was working over Danielson's neck most of the match. Just seems like it would pay off more than a lariat.

How would you compare it to London/Dragon (4.12)?

I've also been wondering this. I guess I'll have to wait until Joe/Punk comes out on tape, because everyone who's seen one match hasn't seemed to have seen the other.

Rob Naylor saw 4/12 live, and saw this live, and said this was better. The same goes for some others in the audience that made the road trip. For me, thus far the MOTY is Dragon-Homicide from 4/24.
