Guest glennsoe Report post Posted June 16, 2004 Remember; you were warned..... - Glenn - D'Lo Brown will make his return tonight, and will be aligned with AJ Styles (I imagine for an inevitable match with Kid Kash & Dallas). However, plans are for Brown to challenge for the World Title, which in my opinion is a smart move. With Styles back in the X Division, Chris Harris back in tag team competition and Raven feuding with Sabu, they need another believable title contender for when the Jarrett-Killings feud has run it's course. Speaking of the Raven-Sabu feud, it appears Sonjay Dutt will continue to play a major role in that storyline (which was very impressive last week). I have also been told that Dusty Rhodes will be getting involved in some capacity. That brings up some interesting possibilities, since Rhodes worked against Sabu's uncle The Sheik in many classic matches (the storyline is based around Sabu and Raven having promised the Sheik that they would never fight, and Raven wanting to break the promise). In fact, the cult-classic movie "I Like To Hurt People" features a Rhodes cutting a great promo about the Sheik. All Japan's Kazushi Miyamoto (who has a lot of potential and has been wrestling less than three years, in addition to having a great Swanton Bomb) is penciled in to debut for the company this week on Impact in a five or six-man X-Division match. I have also heard that Miyamoto will be teamed with Nosawa to challenge America's Most Wanted for the Tag Team Championship at next week's second anniversary show. I am a little doubtful of that, since it seems weird to have a virtual unknown team challenge for the gold at a "big event" like the anniversary show, as opposed to two members of Team Mexico, Team Canada or Team NWA. At the request of All Japan, Miyamoto will be spending some time in the United States over the next few months to gain more experience. The word going around is that indy worker Angel Williams will be at tonight's NWA:TNA PPV, working against Trinity. You can check out a sneak peak of Williams at her website, AngelWilliams.cjb.net/. Williams is scheduled for a WWE tryout in the near future as well. Speaking of TNA's Second Anniversary show, plans at this point are for AJ Styles to defend the X Division Title against Kid Kash and Jeff Jarrett to defend the NWA World Heavyweight Title against Ron Killings. I have also heard that they will have Desire vs. Trinity in a stretcher match, which is the first time I can ever recall hearing about a stretcher match between women. slimm44 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Well I just got back from the show and they were pretty accurate. Glad nobody mentioned Dusty Rhodes showing up because that was a surprise for everyone at the Asylum.
