Guest Urine Sane Report post Posted June 19, 2004 Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) stars Forest Whitaker. It's about a hitman for the mob (whitaker) who models himself by the ways of the ancient samurai. He has performed numerous perfect jobs, and is now being targeted by the same crime family he served. Cool movie, and the music is done by RZA from The Wu-Tang Clan.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2004 Under Oath (1996) Found this at Wal-Mart about 2 years ago when they had a VHS/DVD blowout (even cheaper than usual, as I got this for $4.88 DVD). It's produced by Roger Corman, but don't let that fool you. The story is that two cops, getting tired of the daily grind just to make ends meet, decide to steal some guns from the police property room and make a deal with an arms dealer for a one time score. As it turns out, the arms dealer winds up killed when the deal goes sour, and it turns out he was an undercover ATF agent. Feeling that their days are numbered, the cops luck out when they're the ones assigned to the case, and go to any and every length to cover their tracks. Very entertaining with a good script, but most would assume it's B-rate schlock due to the Corman attatchment. Sounds a helluva lot like "Gang Related" with Jim Belushi and 2 Pac.
