Styles' Opponent for the Anniversary Show

Firstly, we don't really know what condition he's in or how well he'll gel with Styles, so it's a bit early to write off the match.

 

Secondly, it is at least a genuine surprise, which is bloody rare in wrestling these days.

 

If it's only a one-shot deal, it's not going to do much harm and will at least get people talking.

As for crowd reaction, I'll bet Hardy gets the biggest pop of the night.

 

I was there, and the pop he got was off the charts, by far the biggest of the night. I couldn't even here myself think for the "Hardy" chants. Of course, AJ got his share of support as well, so this was definitely the match of the night in terms of crowd reaction.

 

Well, he certainly didn't at the Ring of Honor show.

I did hear some nice "We want Matt" and "You got fired" chants.

 

Mostly he got booed out of the arena.

 

The TNA audience is entirely different from the RoH audience.
