Favorite jr quote

The JR/Heyman stuff was the best.  They seemed to really be fighting live on Raw and it was funny as hell.

The best was when Paul Heyman came back a few weeks ago and JR called him a "hemroid on the *face* of life."

"He's charlie-horsing that arm"

That quote as well as a whole load more nonsensical tripe spewing from JR's mouth on Backlash 2002, he was really on terrible form during that last PPV.

The best one from that show was, after Austin vs. Taker, during the Flair interview, Coachman shows Flair the footage of Austin's foot on the ropes and Flair goes...

"Aww shit"

Cut straight back to the announcing table and Ross goes...

"my thoughts exactly" (or words to that effect)

Can't help but thinking he was talking about the match as a whole, not just the finish...

When ever J.R. would tell Heyman to Kiss His Ass, or Tell him to go to hell, great stuff.

Anytime JR references Patterson or Heyman's sexual orientation it's golden.

Heyman isn't gay, he has shown he likes women in several interviews.  He WAS the owner of ECW, after all.

During WrestleMania X7, when Steve Austin hit The Rock with a steel chair...

JR: "Good god, what a vile chair shot! Ah thought The Rock was a duck!"

During No Way Out 2001, Austin Vs HHH...

Lawler: "You put that sledgehammer under there for Austin!"

JR: "AAARRRRRGGGGHHH YAH DUMBASS, AH DIDN'T PURRRRRGGGGGHGHHHHHAAGGGAAAA!!!"

And of course, his standard...

JR: "<insert wrestler here> is tapping like a drunk man!"

JR's all-time "I'm trying to be hip" fuck-up:

"Multi-orgasmic, in a cosmic sort of way!"

He said that during Lita's entrance one time.

Some favourite JR-isms.

Talking about Jeff Hardy - "Is this young daredevil the next Shawn Michaels!"

To Heyman - "You enjoy sucking up to Mr McMahon? If your not careful buddy you will back in that Bingo Hall real quick"

Foley Cage Fall - "Oh MY GAWDD!!!! He's Broken in Half.   Stop the Match DAMMIT Stop THE MATCH!"

About Val Venis - "The Big Valbowski's Stock in the WWF is rising all the time!"

About Billy Gunn - "Some would say pound for pound he is the best athlete in this business."

wCw- "The WWF is where all the top young studs are plying their trade. This aint the Seniors Tour where men of nearly 50 are battling for a company's coveted gold."

After Austin got himself DQ'd against Angle at SummerSlam, Heyman started antagonizing JR.  JR then went OFF.  I can't remember exactly what he said, but I thought he was going to absolutely lose it.  Just AWESOME.

I know JR's hard to understand, but he said "I thought The Rock woulda ducked."

And it's "Tapping like a drum man."

The funniest part of that was the look Heyman had on his face during JR's hissy fit. JR was screaming something like "Austin can't (pronounced KANE'T) beat Kurt Angle! Can you... deny that?" Heyman just looked at him for a second, and instead of a rebuttal, he turned to the camera and very calmy and enthusiastically said something like "Hey, there's a new show that's going to premeir on TNN on Saturday's called excess with all the stars of the WWF and the Alliance..." etc

I just rewatched that Angle vs. Austin match from Summerslam, JR comes so close to calling Austin the lord of darkness himself, then his tyrade at the end about Austin knows he can't beat Angle, then that year at Vengance he sings Austins praises about how he can beat Angle, makes it that makes it that much funnier.

April 2001: "Stone Cold Steve Austin is the WWF champion, and things will NEVER EVER be the SAAAAME!"

November 2001: Austin is the babyface champ, with his 1998 music. The Rock is the No. 2 babyface, and Vince McMahon is the No. 1 heel.

The Summerslam thing is like

JR: Austin cant beat Angle, he just proved that hear. Now can you deny that- NO YOU CANNOT. JR is all hyped up and they then just cut to a video package.

JR:That's a buncha crap and you know it....KISS MY ASS!"

My other favourite JR moment was when Austin kicked his ass. JR kept saying how he was losing a friend and Austin just kept making fun of him until he had enough of JR's crap and kicked his ass

JR pissed me off so bad with this one, but it is a memorable one nonetheless.

Crash Holly vs Raven (some Raw last year) had a hardcoe match. Crash tried to slingshot Raven into an entranceway (the top) in the crowd. Raven missed by a good 2 feet, but slapped his hand on the concrete top and sold the head shot anyway.

JR: "that wasn't even close!" Totally kills the move there, and Raven is laying on the ground still trying to sell it.

Did anyone really need to know that?

This probably isn't even close to the exact quote, but it was when "Naked Mideon" was around, and JR was commenting on how some people should never be nude.  King said something like "What, JR, you don't think people should see you naked?" JR: "Oh hell no!"

I also love any reference to his "mama".

"And down goes Mr. Ass...excuse my language mama"

During one of Val Venis's little movies "Well my mama just fainted."

It was pretty funny the time he called Chris Jericho, "Jeff Jericho."  I think that was on an episode of RAW around the time where Jeff was in the IC title hunt.

Not many quotes can beat "Lita jerking Edge off.......  THE LADDER!"  That's my favorite JR quote.

From an earlier post...

::Lawler: "You put that sledgehammer under there for Austin!"

JR: "AAARRRRRGGGGHHH YAH DUMBASS, AH DIDN'T PURRRRRGGGGGHGHHHHHAAGGGAAAA!!!"::

That's the funniest thing I've read in weeks.

When Eddy Guerrero was doing commentary and speaking Spanish, Lawler was acting like he knew what he was saying.

JR: Like you know what he just said.

Lawler: Yeah, I'm Bi-Lingual

JR: Yeah, you're Bi alright... (or something to that effect)

Lawler: Huh?

JR: Angle and Austin tasted the Dudleyz wood!

I popped in a tape of "Cold Day In Hell" from 1997, and during the Rocky Maivia/Mankind match, Jim Ross says (after Rocky threw Mankind over the top rope to the floor):

"They say that wrestler's know how to fall.....well....uhh.....how do you fall on steel?!"

King impartially replies:

"Watch yer mouth there....uhh....JR"

I don't know why but I found it funny, because Ross was almost selling out pro-wrestling in one sentence, and King probably thought that JR was out of his gourd.......

Heyman and JR fighting always cracks me up. Survivor Series is worth a rent just to hear them argue.

A fav of mine is when JR was takling aftre the battle royal when Test won

"somethin to the effect of: Test has won immunity and he wasn't even entered in the first place.

Heyman:" well that means no matter what happens tonight in the main event (the alliance will win), Test still will have a job (the alliance will win) and thats the bottom line (or somethin)

THE ALLIANCE WILL WIN"

I thought that was hilarious, Heyman sounded like Kevin Nealon doing Mr Subliminal on SNL

Oh man, that's hilarious. I need to watch that show again just to hear that one.

Lawler: Yeah, I'm Bi-Lingual

JR: Yeah, you're Bi alright... (or something to that effect)

Lawler: Huh?

That one had me on the floor. Especially because Lawler's tone of voice was just totally bewildered.

...Anyway, I've always thought he was saying "Tapping like a DRUNK man"...not that I know what that *means*, but...

My favorite JR quote came from the Smackdown when Rock returned.  I hate Rocky, but the quote was gold.

"But what will the decision be? What will the decision be? Will the Brahma bull stay in the dubbya dubbya eff? Will he join the Alliance? Or will the Rock just go back home?"

I don't know, I might be one of the few people who liked some of the Invasion stuff.  I loved the Survivor Series, and I loved Austin's work during the time.

One of the maddest I've ever heard Ross was at RR01, when Lawler was trying to justify HHH attacking Austin from behind, and JR just goes off like "AWWWW THAT'S A BUNCH OF CRAP!!!!!"

This might be off topic a bit but it connects

Wm 9  JR Savage and Heenan

Heenan: Why is it everytime you commentate JR you always talk about your Senior Prom?

JR: My Senior Prom?

Heenan: Yeah you said they hit like two Bulls. I Know what those girls look like in Oklahoma.

Savage: You'd be lucky to get one of them Heenan

For that one PPV JR and Heenan had great chemistry.

Heenan going on and on how JR just from Oklahoma and doesn't know anything, and when JR talked about his long career, Heenan go What Career? 3 hours ago you were Parking Cars when I came in.

About "tapping like a drunk man"...makes sense to me.  A drunk man would be tapping a keg.  Now let me steal Dames' gimmick...

JHawk-tapping kegs since it was illegal
