Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted June 23, 2004 Lately, I've been seeing ZoneAlarm ask if I want to allow a program called eiuo.exe access the Internet. Naturally, I say no, but when I press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, the eiuo thing is in the running programs list. The program appears in the Application Data folder, but I have no idea what it is. This program typically pops up after my brother has been using the computer. For now, I just end the task then delete it. I've tried running Spybot, Ad-aware, and an anti-virus program, but the eiuo thing isn't detected. Does anybody know what the hell this eiuo.exe thing is? The program also shows up in the startup list as Tsse (when you run msconfig). Also, how do I delete items from the msconfig list?

Guest Hero to all Children Report post Posted June 25, 2004 I never had to deal with Eiuo.exe myself but I had to kill quite a lot of tricky programs in my application data. Usually the catch is that these files cannot be deleted because windows is using them. So you have to purge them from your msconfig autostart, hunt down each registry entry for them and then go into dosmode to kill the .exe (and most likely .dll) manually. It's effort but it's worth it.
