Eclipse 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2004 Well, I recorded something on the camcorder I have. Well, that something I recorded is wanted by someone else. They want me to record it onto a VCR tape. I don't know if you need ANY special wires or anything. Is this possible? If it is, how do I do it?
Guest slacklet Report post Posted June 26, 2004 Just hook up an RCA cable (red/yellow/white) from your camcoder to your VCR (assuming your VCR is fairly new) - turn on the VCR, turn to the input channel and push record on the VCR once the camcorder image starts playing on the screen. Should work.
Eclipse 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2004 My camcorder has one yellow connection and a white one. Same thing goes for the VCR. The setup behind the VCR is... Audio (In and Out) Yellow and White Video (In and Out) Yellow and White Where do I connect the cables?
Guest slacklet Report post Posted June 26, 2004 Yellow to yellow, white to white. Yellow = Video White = Left Audio Channel/Mono Red = Right Audio Channel Turn on the VCR, turn to the VCR channel for input and turn on the camcorder. If you can't find the channel, push play on the camcorder and flip through until you see it playing. Then stick a blank tape in the VCR and you're set. Eclipse 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2004 Yeah, I got it. There was a setting in the VCR's menu that said Input Setting. I put it to Line, and then it picked up the camcorder, got recording and it worked. Thanks for the help.
