Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2004 Seeing those pictures reminds me how much promise that Chavo/Rey match had before it was shot to hell.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted June 28, 2004 Also I forgot to add. There was a small "Guido" chant when Nunzio appeared in the backstage skit with Dupree & Dawn Marie. I, of course, marked out for that.
Guest Ray Report post Posted June 28, 2004 Thats the stupidest fucking thing I have ever heard in my life. PERIOD. CM PUNK vs Samoa Joe or Danielson Vs Styles is nothing remotely close to "high school kids" and that is easily the dumbest statement of all time, and it's people like you who prove how WWE has ruined wrestling. Relax, man. By now you should know that "they look like kids in a gym!" is a standard defense mechanism for people who don't like indy wrestling. Besides a lot of them being pretty young and wrestling in a lot of gyms, making the statement pretty true. Should we hallucinate up some 30 year olds wrestling in the Superdome or something? You miss the point. The point is the matches are dismissed as not possibly being great due to them being young and wrestling in small arenas. Which is stupid. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2004 I dismiss them because not a lot are very good. I could care less where they're wrestling.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2004 Since WWE raised the price of the webcasts, I now refuse to order these small PPVs on the net for the same price as those you would get on TV, so I didn't order it. I have however ignored all wrestling related sites, etc... since Sunday. I downloaded the GAB and just finished watching it. If WWE wants to raise the price of the PPVs, then screw em, I'll just watch them for free now a day or two later. I know that no one here actually likes it, but for what it's worth, I predicted that Bradshaw would be WWE World Champion one day years ago, when he was still in the APA. I didn't think it would be right now, since the first of this year I started saying that it would happen in 1-2 years, so it just happened a bit early. I still can't believe it, him holding up that title was just so insane, just one of those moments that you never thought you'd actually see...not REALLY, even if you thought it might happen one day, for better or for worse. I'm perfectly ok with it also. It's not like SD means anything at this point in time, so what the hell. Try something new like this, see what happens, and if it fails it fails, whatever. Most people here don't watch SD anyway, so it's not like it really effects too many posters here, except in the way that they simply have to now say that Bradshaw IS indeed a WWE World Champion. Aside from that one very odd moment on the PPV, the rest was just blah blah blah, most of which would make for even a subpar SD. I got it for free, so I wont complain much. I will say one more thing though. The two main things that happened on the PPV...Taker "killing" Paul Bearer and Bradshaw winning the world title, it has people talking. People that I know that haven't really been watching SD or WWE period are now telling me that they are interested in seeing what happens next, just because it all is just so odd. That could be a good thing or a bad thing, I don't know. But I do know that people are at least talking, around me anyway. This still wasn't the worst PPV ever to me either, it just wasn't that good, or even average. I've seen everying PPV since PPV started up, and there have been plenty of shows worse off than this one.
