PWTorch power rankings

Recommended Posts

(1) Triple H (78 pts.-4 First Place Votes) After working a program with Eugene, Triple H captured not only the highest point total, but also received more first place votes than anyone else. Triple H also wrestled a grueling 47 minute match at Bad Blood, which many onlookers called it a match of the year candidate.

(2) Eugene (62 pts.) Eugene is quickly becoming a fan favorite, and his work with Triple H and The Rock has landed him in second place.

(3) Eddie Guerrero (45 pts.) Eddie's feud with Bradshaw has entered into another PPV, and has many paying attention to his in ring work, as well as his banter with John Bradshaw Layfield, notching his place on the list at number three.

(4) Chris Benoit (36 pts.-1 First Place Vote) Chris has held the title since WrestleMania, and seems to be destined for a rematch with Triple H at next month's Vengeance. Chris also pulled double duty two weeks ago at Bad Blood, as he defended his World Hvt. Title, and lost the Tag Team titles to La Resistance. His work puts him in the fourth spot. As you can see, Benoit and Undertaker tied in points, so because Benoit received a first place vote, he gets the nod and is fourth.

(5) Undertaker (36 pts.) His involvement with Paul Heyman and the Dudleys nab him the fifth spot, as rumor has it he may turn heel, and drop Paul Bearer all together.

(6) Kane (34 pts.) Kane not only put Shawn Michaels out of action, he is also involved in a bizarre love triangle with Matt Hardy and Lita. Kane also wrestled in what many called a great match against Chris Benoit at Bad Blood for the WWE Hvt. Title.

(7) The Rock (33 pts.-2 First Place Votes) The Rock made an expected cameo appearance this past week on Raw. He hung around a bit, had fun, and made the list at number seven this week.

(8) Randy Orton (28 pts.) Orton continues to impress critics with his in ring work ethic, and his mic skills. This week finds him in the eighth spot.

(9) John Bradshaw Layfield (25 pts.-1 First Place Vote) JBL's promos have kept viewers interested, and is set for a WWE Title rematch at The Great American Bash. His promos and work with Eddie Guerrero have landed him in ninth place.

(10) Paul Heyman (18 pts.) The only non-wrestler to make the list, Heyman seems to have breathed new life into the Dudleys, and has added to the Undertaker storyline, and has made it onto the list at tenth.

Others receiving more than 10 pts.: Shawn Michaels (16 pts.-1 First Place Vote), The Dudleys(15 pts.), Samoa Joe(12 pts.), and Jeff Jarrett (11 pts.)

This is supposed to be for the "hottest" acts in wrestling - where is the hell is Cena?

Do the Torch not have editors? And that's not getting started on how shitty any kind of wrestling rankings tend to be; these in particular.

Anyone that says the Bad Blood HIAC match should be considered a MOTYC is a damn fool.

Agreed.

So far this year? Maybe Danielson/Homicide or Punk/Joe from Ring of Honor. The Wrestlemania ME was good too.

And yes, the Torch sucks.
