Booker T...

I'm probably in the minority here but I enjoyed his match with Big Show from Vengance 2002, marked out for the ax kick through the table and the wwf debut of the harlem hangover!

Am I the only one who enjoyed his series of matches with J Jeff Jarrett? I know it seemed better because of the crap that was going on around it but there were still some decent matches in there.

One of the bad things with Booker is that he has either been lumbered with JR-pleasing Hosses - or simply bad workers - or some half-ass and plain stupid storylines e.g. shampoo commercial.

I've always felt Booker could be carried quite easily to great matches given the chance.

I thought his matches with Jarrett and also with Steiner were ok. Not great, but definitely world title worthy after all the crap WCW had gone through.

Book is a good tag team wrestler and a showman on the mike, but as a singles wrestler he is below average, unless he is being carried by a Benoit,Eddy or Angle.

That's not entirely true. He doesn't need a top 1% guy to carry him, he got carried just fine by guys like Perry Saturn, Rick Martel and Fit Finlay :P

This thread is about his WWE run though, right? Thus him saying he can't think of a good WWE Booker T. match in the last three years.

Aside form the atrocious finish, HHH/Booker from Raw following Wrestlemania 19 was excellent. the near falls were incredible, and Booker worked as if he was going to win. It was TOTALLY overshadowed by HBK running in and a schmozz finish, but I'd still give it a sold ***. Very fun match and great heat.

Booker's best singles WWF/E match was against HHH at Wrestlemania XIX. It was mucho disappointing live, but in retrospect it holds up better than the Jericho/HBK match that preceded it.

I'm pretty sure he had good matches with Kurt Angle during the Invasion, but I haven't seen them since, so I could be wrong. Part of the problem with Booker is that because of how poorly he is booked, most of his best matches are on free TV. Thus, they usually are forgotten. It also must be remembered that he is well past his prime wrestling years (1998-2000). He was never Chris Benoit to begin with, but he's a step above chumps like RVD, Christian, Mark Jindrak, etc.
