The "I got screwed" sports game thread

I was playing Live 2004 against my cousin once. We were really getting into it because it was the rubber match of a Best of 7 series and their was 20 bucks at stake. So the game is tied with about 6 seconds left. I dribble up court and call a time out so I can throw it in at halfcourt. After my timeout, it gave the ball to HIM. He then made a shot and I lost the game, and 10 bucks.

Tecmo Super Bowl: This just happened last night. I went through a season with the Eagles, going 12-4 and getting a first round bye. This is the 1993 Randall Cunningham/Herschel Walker-era Eagles, post-Reggie White. I had the worst-ranked offense in the league but the No. 1 defense. Byron Evans, my MLB, had 41 sacks over 16 games. But as I start the playoffs, I notice that everyone on the others teams seems to be better than they were in the regular season, while I was getting worse. Every team I played in the playoffs (New Orleans, San Fran, Miami), I had played and beaten in the regular season. But now they seemed better, stronger, faster. For example, in the NFC title game I played SF. I held on to win, but Steve Young rushed for 165 yards, often covering 30-40 yards in like 1.5 seconds. So I'm in the Super Bowl against Miami, and for some reason, everyone on the Dolphins becomes the fastest man in the NFL for one day. They have a RB named Mark Higgs. I don't even remember this guy, and back in 1993 I was a football card/stat junkie. All of a sudden, he's like friggin' LaDanian Tomlinson. He can cover 50 yards in mere seconds. He rushes for 100+ yards and I lose by two points, mostly because I couldn't stop the run.

All-Star Basebal 2004: I've been playing a 162-game season with the Reds. I'm about 140 games in and leading the NL Central by 15 games. Everyone on my team is producing: Aaron Boone and Austin Kearns are 1-2 in the league in batting average. Griffey, Adam Dunn and Boone are up there in HRs. Griffey and Dunn are up there in RBI. Boone leads the league in doubles by about 15. After looking at the stats, I'd say Boone and Griffey should be solid MVP candidates. But get this: the top 2 MVP vote-getters at the moment are Todd Helton and Barry Bonds. Now, Helton's numbers are no better, and I think overall worse, than Boone's. Plus, the Rockies are in third place. Bonds' numbers aren't much better than Griffey's, and his team is like maybe a wild card. That just seems like bullshit to me.
