Losing matches thread

Recommended Posts

I gotta say. Considering I was booked against someone who was 100lbs larger (a bit questionable), I did my best.

---

We cut back to the announcer’s table.

Comet says "Our opening match promises to be quite a contest"

Riley replies "Well, unless you have a death wish for Robzilla. The Perfect Storm is 5 inches and 100 pounds heavier"

Comet responds by mentioning that "Gilbert will have to deal with that a lot, he’s the smallest man on the roster"

Riley shakes his head "It seems that cruiserweights like Rob Gilbert always get put with heavyweights"

Comet smirks "If Rob Gilbert has a problem with facing athletes like Citizen Davis, he can go home"

Riley laughs "It’s not that, it’s just that this is a David v. Goliath story. Well, not story, but vignette, something like that. Of course. But, we’ll see who takes home the winners share of the purse and who gets to eat applesauce and live with the pain of losing"

"Well, we’ll see which citizen can prove themselves to be the victor in this epic struggle" Comet says with candor in his voice.

The scene falls to a hush as Funyon stands in the center of the ring with his mic.

"The following match is the opening match. It is scheduled for one fall"

Flashes of white pyro begin to streak from ceiling to stage, imitating lightning.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

"ooooh…"

"Headstrong" by Trapt kicks up and the arena goes dark as lines of flame burst alive and border the stage

Funyon says "Introducing first.."

Sean steps out with his lawyer Marcus Washington, followed by a blue spotlight.

"Making his SWF debut, He is accompanied by Marcus Washington, and he hails from Jacksonville, Florida" Funyon says "Weighing in at 270 pounds, SEAN DAVIS!"

Riley comments "Wow, impressive and blue"

Comet responds "I bet a fire alarm’s going to go off sometime soon"

Riley replies to that statement with a laugh "and you’ll lead us outside, Firebreaker Comet, won’t you?"

Davis enters the ring, glaring towards a section of the crowd where someone yelled "Jailbird" as we return to regular lighting.

"Serial Thrilla" by Prodigy starts to play and we see Rob Gilbert walking though the curtains followed by his bodyguard and trainer Mitch Duncan.

Funyon stands in the center of the ring for the next introduction "And his opponent, accompanied by his bodyguard and trainer Mitch Duncan, hailing from the fighting city of Chappaqua, New York"

Gilbert stops and walks down the stage to his left, emptying a bottle of water on the stage.

Funyon continues his introduction "he weighs in at 165 pounds, ROB GILBERT!"

Gilbert walks down the entrance ramp, ignoring the boos of the fans, Gilbert enters the ring and stands in his corner.

Comet observes "Doesn’t it seem like Gilbert would be better suited to face Washington, and Davis would be better suited to face Duncan?"

Riley laughs "You have too much time on your hands"

Our referee Matthew Kivell delivers verbal warnings to both Washington and Duncan and he calls for the bell.

Comet muses "Well, neither man is too popular here, and both seconds will want to help their men out"

*DING DING DING DING*

Gilbert paces around the ring, holding on to the ropes as Davis shakes his head. Gilbert then rolls out of the ring and begins to drink some more bottled water.

Comet laughs "He needs water now? Who does he think he is, Aquaman?"

Riley groans "I know he’s not you, because he doesn’t blow so badly"

Gilbert walks around as the referee starts a count. Gilbert then rolls back into the ring and gets on his feet. He walks towards the center of the ring and offers a handshake to Davis, but he pulls back quickly to stroke his hair. Davis responds by elbowing Gilbert in the face, sending him down to the mat. Gilbert rolls back to a corner, holding onto the ropes as he gets back to his feet. Gilbert smirks and holds his left arm up for a test of strength.

Comet says "I don’t think that’s going to work out very well for Citizen Gilbert"

Davis shakes his head and charges in and Gilbert moves out of the way. Gilbert then kicks Davis repeatedly, landing kicks against his back and Davis turns around in the corner. Davis charges towards Gilbert with his left arm out for a clothesline, Gilbert ducks and attempts a reverse neck breaker, but Davis blocks that move and turns around. Davis hooks his arms around the thin waist of Gilbert and thrusts him up into the air, sending him down hard onto the mat with a release German Suplex. Davis picks Gilbert off of the mat and hooks him in a Full-Nelson, he lifts him up and slams him onto the mat.

Comet declares "Gilbert may not be much of a match for Sean Davis"

Riley replies "Maybe, we’ll see, won’t we? Either way, these fans lose, big time"

Gilbert crawls towards the ropes and grabs onto them. Gilbert attempts to pull him off the ropes and is warned about doing that by the referee. Gilbert kicks Davis in the back of the knee while Davis is being warned. Gilbert then punches Davis twice in the kidneys, drawing a warning from the referee. Gilbert knee lifts Davis but Davis doesn’t move an inch. Gilbert then runs towards the ropes, hooking the top rope and slinging himself to the floor feet first.

Comet groans "Gilbert’s trying to stall for time here"

Riley laughs mockingly "Why not Comet? He can’t be the go-getter like you are. Haha"

"1"

The fans boo Gilbert as he walks around on the floor, drinking bottled water. Davis motions for Gilbert to get back into the ring.

"2"

Gilbert laughs and struts on the floor. Davis then steps though the ropes and starts to chase after Gilbert. Gilbert slides into the ring and runs to the opposite side of the ring, hooking a ring rope.

Comet says with a sense of disgust "Gilbert doesn’t seem very confident that he can beat Davis here. Look how he keeps holding on to the ropes"

Davis re-enters the ring.

Riley laughs and says "You know, Robzilla knows the rules. Davis can’t do anything to him if he’s in the ropes. He’s not a coward, he’s smart"

Gilbert charges towards Davis and goes for a high knee to the chest of the larger man. Davis grabs the leg and then clotheslines Gilbert hard onto the mat. Gilbert staggers back onto his feet. Gilbert then attempts his fabled "Discus Elbow" spinning elbow to the head, but Davis doesn’t move an inch for that either. Gilbert kicks Davis in the midsection and then kicks him hard in the groin. The referee admonishes Gilbert as he apologizes to the referee and to Davis.

Riley smirks and says "See, he’s not a coward, he accidentally kicked Davis in the groin there and he’s sorry"

Comet groans and replies "You fool, my sincerity detector isn’t picking up a thing, he’s lying"

Riley laughs "Well, I guess he’ll be wearing a cup from now on"

Gilbert picks up Davis and pats him on the back, shaking his head with faked regret. Gilbert then kicks Davis in the midsection and attempts to pick him up for a suplex. Gilbert struggles hard in this task, and then he drops Davis on the ropes, suplexing him back onto the mat. Gilbert is too winded from the task of lifting the mighty Davis off of his feet and suplexing him to utilize his execution of the Slingshot Suplex. Gilbert catches his breath and kicks Davis in the midsection. Gilbert then scrapes his boot over Davis’ face, and the referee cautions him again. Gilbert responds with a smile, lifting his boot and wiping it off with his hand.

The fans boo Gilbert as he lifts Davis up to his feet, applying a side headlock to his opponent. Gilbert smiles again and starts to rub his fist over Davis’ head before slapping him on the top of the head. Davis responds to this insult by lifting Gilbert up high in the air and dropping him with a backdrop suplex. Gilbert flops onto his stomach, holding his head and begging for mercy from Davis.

Comet laughs "He’d be better off just writing him a check here"

Riley replies with mock laughter

We hear grumbling from the other half of our announcing crew as Davis pulls Gilbert up by his hair and throws him into the ropes, Davis comes back, toppling the so-called Robzilla with a Shoulder block. Gilbert stumbles, holding his neck and complaining to the referee about the hair pulling.

This inspires Comet respond with "He has no room to talk about the rules here, he breaks them regularly!"

Davis kicks Gilbert in the midsection and lifts him up in the air in a military press slam. Davis then proceeds to press Gilbert up in the air.

"One!"

"Two!"

"Three!"

"Four!"

"Five!"

"This is impressive" says Comet

"Six!"

"You jackass!" Riley yells

"Seven!"

"I could press that a lot too" Riley snorts

"Eight!"

Davis then slams Gilbert hard onto the mat. Davis then drops an elbow across the chest of Rob Gilbert.

Riley laughs "I don’t mind Davis, but he’s not earning World’s Strongest Man with that"

Davis then lifts up Gilbert in another Military Press, lifting him up again.

"Nine!"

"One!" Riley yells, "He started over, you idiots!"

Davis then drops Gilbert face first onto the turnbuckle. Gilbert grabs his face in pain with one hand and holds onto the ropes. Davis lifts Gilbert up to his feet and chops him across the chest. Davis rips Gilbert’s collared shirt open and chops him hard again. Davis grabs Gilbert by the shirt and throws him into the ropes, and then Davis executes a brutal spine buster. Gilbert is gasping for wind on the mat as Davis covers.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

Gilbert drops his foot on the rope and the Referee stops his count. Davis lifts Gilbert up onto his feet again as the crowd begins to stir. We see that Mitch Duncan is now standing next to Marcus Washington and they’re in an argument. Davis yells at Duncan and Duncan attempts to pull Washington’s glasses off.

Davis steps towards the ropes and points at Duncan yelling. The referee then steps in-between Davis and Duncan and we pick up what he’s saying.

"Duncan, stop causing a scene or I’ll have to expel you from ringside"

As this is being said, Rob Gilbert pulls a small chain out of his tights and wraps it around his fist. Duncan argues with the referee and Gilbert nails Davis in the face with the chained fist of fury.

Comet groans "Citizen Gilbert would rather cheat then wrestle fairly here!"

Riley replies "Citizen Gilbert would rather win and get a good check than lose here, you blubbering fool"

Davis falls to his knees as Gilbert deposits the chain in his tights. Meanwhile at ringside, Duncan hands Washington his glasses back and the referee walks away from the scene. Gilbert picks Davis up and executes the DDT on the dazed man. Gilbert then goes for a cover, hooking a leg

"One!"

"Two!"

Davis kicks out. Gilbert punches him around the back of the head and hits a reverse neck breaker on him. Gilbert shakes his head and holds it for a moment before dropping his medium-sized elbow across the chest of Sean Davis. Gilbert shakes his head again and drops another elbow across the chest of Sean Davis. Davis rolls onto his stomach and gets on his feet. Gilbert hits Davis in the throat and snap mares him into a sitting position. Gilbert then locks a sleeper hold on Davis.

Riley laughs "It might be early in the night, but it might be bedtime for the Handsome Hurricane"

Davis slumps down for a bit but he elbows Gilbert in his side, breaking the hold. Gilbert unleashes another cheap shot on Davis as he gets to his feet.

"This match has been nothing but cheap shots from Rob Gilbert" Comet protests

"And stupid comments from you" Riley replies

Gilbert steps to the side of Sean Davis and drops the larger man down with a Russian Leg sweep. Gilbert struts to a corner and steps onto the second turnbuckle. He leaps off with his elbow cocked and ready, but Davis rolls out of the way before contact could be made. Gilbert alertly lands on his feet and laughs. Gilbert then holds his left arm up in the air for one moment before motioning to Davis to "come get him". Davis charges in and Gilbert applies the dreaded Iron Claw to the top of Davis’ forehead

Comet declares "The old masters of the claw hold must be rolling in their graves at this sight!"

Davis elbows Gilbert on the top of his head, sending him stumbling backwards and breaking the dreaded claw hold. Gilbert shakes his head and moves forward, but Davis grabs him by the throat and quickly choke slams him to the mat. Davis goes for a cover.

One!

Two!

Thre — Gilbert kicks out!

Gilbert rolls over onto his stomach to catch his breath after using all his energy to kick out of that move. Davis grabs Gilbert from behind, hooking his hands around Gilbert’s thin waist, and executing another brutal release German Suplex. Gilbert flops onto his stomach again, with a hand on his head.

Riley laughs "That’s the way to do it! I’ve always liked Davis, you know!"

Gilbert gets up onto his feet, staggering wildly and holding his head. Davis then moves his head back and head butts Gilbert, sending him stumbling back into the corner, grabbing his head in pain.

"Obviously, Citizen Gilbert’s head and neck are in pain!" Comet observes

*BOOM*

Davis steps forward and unleashes a big hook across the face of Gilbert, which almost launches him through the ropes. Gilbert lays on the ropes stomach-first and Davis pulls him out.

*WHAAAACK*

Davis hits Gilbert with the big back fist and Gilbert is knocked on his back. But his feet are under the bottom rope and Mitch Duncan starts to pull him out of the ring. Then Marcus Washington walks up to him and starts to protest to the referee. Davis then begins to pull on Gilbert, involving himself in a tug-of-war with Mitch Duncan, with Rob Gilbert as the rope. The referee then begins to count.

ONE!

TWO!

"If Duncan doesn’t let go, Gilbert might be disqualified!" Comet declares

THREE!

FOUR!

Duncan lets go of Gilbert and Davis drags his body into the center of the ring. The referee is ordering Duncan and Washington to opposite corners as Davis picks Gilbert up by the waist. Gilbert then hits Davis in the groin again, causing him to slump down a bit. Gilbert whips Davis into the corner and catches his breath again. Gilbert then walks in and punches Davis with little success. Gilbert pulls Davis out of the corner and gets on the top turnbuckle. Gilbert applies a front face lock on Davis with one hand while punching Davis around the armpit with his other hand. Gilbert then swings around and drops Gilbert with the Tornado DDT.

"Gilbert is down and he’s getting back to his feet slowly" Comet observes.

And indeed, Gilbert is holding his head and he goes to the top turnbuckle. Gilbert flies from the top turnbuckle and hits a frog splash on Sean Davis.

Comet says "You know, Gilbert should have just covered him there"

Riley replies "Mr. Know-it-all.. bleeh"

Gilbert hooks a leg and we have a cover.

ONE!

TWO!

THR — KICKOUT BY DAVIS!

Davis rolls onto his feet and Gilbert shakes his head in frustration. Gilbert then pulls his collared shirt off.

Riley says "Ooooooh, he means business now Comet. And look at his uniquely chiseled body"

"Was that chiseled with a butter knife?" Comet says with a laugh

Gilbert lifts up Davis and locks him in position for Straight out of Chappaqua, his reverse Russian leg sweep of choice.

"This might be the big move Comet!" Riley says with enthusiasm.

But Davis counters it by dropping his left arm down and front face-locking Gilbert. Davis then lifts Gilbert up, holding him in the air, and drops him with a nasty Brain buster DDT. Gilbert holds his head in pain and Davis picks him up off of the canvas. Davis then lifts Gilbert onto his back like he was nothing and drops him hard onto his back with a Death Valley Driver. Davis then goes for a cover near the ropes.

ONE!

TWO!

THR –

"ROBZILLA HAS HIS FOOT ON THE ROPES!" Riley observes, loudly

The referee notices the same thing and stops the count before his hand made contract with the canvas for three.

Davis shakes his head and has a comment or two for the referee.

"If the referees weren’t so lewd, we’d hook a microphone on them" Riley laughs

"Oh come on, that’s not true" Comet says, with a groan.

Davis lifts Gilbert up off of the canvas, Gilbert flings an elbow towards Davis, but Davis grabs his elbow and locks a reverse armbar on Gilbert. Gilbert holds his head in pain with his other arm for a moment before reaching out and grabbing the rope, forcing the break of the hold, or so you’d think.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"I’m finding reason to like both men here" Riley observes

"THREE!"

"FOUR!"

Sean Davis breaks the armbar and glares at the referee. Meanwhile, Gilbert holds his arm with a look of pain on his face. He complains to the referee as well. Davis grabs Gilbert to whip him towards the ropes.

But in a reversal of fortune and a reversal, Gilbert counters and whips Davis towards the ropes, and in the process, Davis takes out Kivell.

"I bet that was accidental too!" Comet says skeptically

"Damn, did Rob Gilbert walk under a ladder? A lot of accidents are occurring around him" Riley says, chuckling

Davis gets back to his feet and locks up with Gilbert, going behind him and locking him in a full nelson. Davis then lifts Gilbert up and drops him with a full nelson atomic drop. Gilbert slumps down onto all fours holding his neck. Davis picks up Gilbert and pulls him up for a piledriver. Davis then drops him hard on the mat with the piledriver. But unfortunately for Sean Davis and his hopes of winning, the referee is unable to get to his feet. Davis shakes his head and picks up Gilbert.

"Davis lifts him up by the waist and it looks like time for the Maelstrom!" Comet says

Riley replies "This’ll be it for Rob Gilbert"

But Mitch Duncan has shoved Marcus Washington into the ring rope and jumped onto the ring apron. Duncan then pulls Gilbert down feet-first onto the ring apron.

"This singles match has turned into a 2 on 1 affair and this is appalling!" Comet snorts with indignation

Davis clotheslines Duncan off of the apron, sending the big man crashing to the floor. Unknown to Sean Davis, Gilbert has pulled a pair of brass knuckles out of his tights and he’s put them on his left fist, Gilbert charges forward and nails Davis in the head with the knux.

Comet yells with outrage "Come on! This is blatant cheating by Rob Gilbert!"

Davis slumps over the top rope and Gilbert hits him with a hotshot. Davis falls onto the canvas holding his throat as Gilbert re-enters the ring. Marcus Washington jumps onto the ring apron and gets hit in the face by the knux. Gilbert then drops his knux-wearing fist on the face of Davis. Gilbert then puts the knux away and picks up Davis. The referee is coming back to his senses and Gilbert schoolboys Davis to the loud boos of the crowd

ONE!

BOOOOOOOOOOO!

"He has a handful of tights!" Comet yells with more outrage

TWO!

"No, he doesn’t, you fool!" Riley replies

THREE!

*DING DING DING*

The fans boo loudly.

"YOUR WINNER OF THIS MATCH… ROB GILBERT!"

Gilbert gets to his feet and starts to jog towards the back, holding his head in pain and leaving his bodyguard behind.

"Rob Gilbert is getting the hell out of here and he had to cheat blatantly to even stand a chance here with Sean Davis, this is just disgusting" Comet grumbles

"It’s a David beats Goliath story! But, Sean Davis will be back, even if he was beaten fairly" Riley laughs after saying that.

"Fairly? He had a handful of tights!" Comet yells

"No he didn’t! But, on an unrelated, I did see more of Sean Davis than I expected here" Riley observes

Comet quips "Such as his exposed backside?"

"No, his talent and strength, he’s a good kid, but he was beat fairly" Riley replies

Comet grumbles "Let’s move on"

Well... heres my first major complain. I hate the way you write commentary. I'm not trying to be negative or mean, it just ruins my experience reading it. For example:

Comet responds by mentioning that "Gilbert will have to deal with that a lot, he’s the smallest man on the roster"

Could have easily been:

"Citizen Gilbert will have to deal with that a lot in his career here in the SWF as he's the smallest man on the roster," Comet notes.

Now while what I put down isn't GOLD~! by any means, it tends to flow a lot more smoothly and is easier to read. While we're at it, it seems you chose not to include any punctuation in you commentary. Aaaaaand... while we're at it... it seems commentary is fairly thin for the length of your whole introduction. I hope this doesn't continue for the entire match, or else it'll prove to be a rather plain read. This is only your second match back though so maybe you just haven't gotten used to the characters or something... who knows.

If you'd like to talk about other stuff with your match... let me know.

Yeah, so this match was rushed and it sucked due to both me and Drazon being busy at the end of the week (can anyone explain to me why we only get four days to write for the 'Flagship Show'?), but I still reckon it accurately reflected what would have REALLY happened if the four men in question had met up in a no-rules environment...

“PREPARE... FOR... LANDON!”

...WAAAAAHHHHH...

*DUM DUM*

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

The boos rise in Hartford, Connecticut as the strains of Incubus’ ‘Megalomaniac’ ring out through the imaginatively-titled Hartford Civic Centre and Landon Maddix steps out through the curtain. The Cockroach is accompanied by the ever-lovely Megan Skye... and Chris Card... and Natasha... in fact all of Chris Card Enterprises make their way to the ring, providing viewers with a veritable foursome of manly muscle and feminine loveliness not seen since The Masked Man took over projection duties at the local cinema and got bored with the kids’ movies!

“Citizens, we are here LIVE for the Main Event on STORRRRRRRMMMMM!!” a familiar voice booms. “I’m CYYYYCCCCLLLOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEE COMET, and-”

“-and I’m going to sue for unsafe work practice,” Riley bitches, ripping the headphones off his head. “Jesus, Comet - if that’s what Pepsi Max does to you I’m surprised they get any sales at all!”

“Silence, miscreant,” the Hero replies, resplendent and slightly sweaty in a way only spandex can achieve.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a No-Disqualification, Falls Count Anywhere Tornado Tag Match, and due to the predicted fractal nature the match will be refereed by Michael Hall AND Nick Soapdish!” Funyon announces over the PA system. “Introducing first, representing Chris Card Enterprises; from Huron, South Dakota; weighing 210lbs, he is the Intercontinental-Television Champion... LANDON... ‘LA CUCURACHA’... MAAAAADD-IIIIIIXXXXX!!”

Landon acknowledged Funyon’s words by spreading his arms to the crowd as if willing to embrace them all - unfortunately Hartford does not return the compliment, and heckles the Cockroach mercilessly whilst still managing to throw in some wolf-whistles for the LADIES~

“Landon Maddix - smug, arrogant, treacherous and very, very lucky to still be ICTV champion after the boileroom brawl against Jamie Drazon,” Comet opines.

“Landon Maddix - confident, talented, smooth and justifiably still the ICTV champion after owning Drazon in that match,” Riley retorts. “I would say that he’s the next World Champion, but for all Card’s mentoring talent he isn’t affiliated with this man...”

Abruptly the opening riff of ‘Kashmir’ kicks in and the disapproval of the crowd hits a whole new pitch as videos of Flesher’s signature moves alternate with...

“SUPERIOR ONE”

“MAIN ATTRACTION”

“AWARD-WINNING”

“THE MAN”

“And his tag-team partner,” Funyon booms, “accompanied to the ring by Allison Onita; from Buffalo, New York, weighing 231lbs... ‘The Superior One’... TOOOOOOOOM... FLESSSHHH-EERRRRRRR!!”

*BOOM!*

Blue pyro hits and out comes the Superior One himself, dressed as ever in his black-trimmed blue singlet and warm-up top while Allison is dressed in some sort of pastel blouse and lame sandals like all the trend-following college kids this season (or the female ones, at least). The pair climb into the ring where Allison helps Tom strip off his jacket, then squirm together in a way that makes everyone watching dry heave (except The Masked Man, who vows to transfer his camcorder footage to film immediately).

“Citizen Flesher - a former World Champion, unquestionably one of the most talented athletes ever to step into a SWF ring... yet incredibly conceited and with no respect for the rules,” Comet laments. “Oh, what a force this man could have been for Justice if only he had been able to keep on the straight and narrow!”

“Comet, let me assure you that the straight and narrow is much overrated,” Riley informs his partner.

“I should have known you wouldn’t like anything ‘straight’, Bobbo.”

Flesher and Maddix start to talk to each other in the ring - Landon looks bored at being lectured by the veteran, but manages to feign just enough interest to keep Flesher from completely blowing him off. Meanwhile Tom is almost unable to hide his disgust at his jumped-up jobber of a partner and keeps casting contemptuous glances at Chris Card who stands off to one side with his arms folded.

“Well, there certainly looks to be plenty of team spirit there,” Comet notes dryly. “I feel we may have to ask them to ‘get a room’ before tonight is over, eh Robert?”

“Yes!” Riley responds with surprising enthusiasm. “And of course, if Landon suddenly has other engagements I’m sure I could cover half the cost and keep Tom company-”

“Robert, please stop drooling,” Comet asks plaintively. “Now, please. Robert, you’re going to short out the electronics...”

Before Bobby Riley can cause any more health and safety hazards the Smartron suddenly blacks out... then the words ‘Prepare To Be Proved Wrong’ flash up in jagged white lettering while the crunching guitars of Lostprophets’ ‘We Still Kill The Old Way’ ring out over the Hartford Civic Centre. Boos start to fill the air yet again as the Smarktron shows Toxxic taking Mike Van Siclen off a balcony and through a table with the Toxxic Shock Syndrome, the devastating landing timed to coincide with the-

‘GO!’

*BOOOM!!*

-explosion of red pyro announcing the arrival of the SWF’s premier straight-edger! Toxxic strides out through the smoke wearing a new T-shirt with his familiar slogan inscribed on the front, but with no sign of his girlfriend Jet. The Straight-Edge Sensation comes to a halt at the bottom of the entrance ramp and cracks his neck from side-to-side, but shows no intention of getting into the ring with his opponents.

“And their opponents,” Funyon continues, “from Nottingham, England; weighing 218lbs, ‘The Straight-Edge Sensation’... TOXX-IIIC!!”

“Toxxic unaccompanied here tonight,” Comet notes, “unlike Tom Flesher or, particularly, Landon Maddix.”

“What’s wrong with Landon’s friends being on hand to lend support?” Riley asks.

“Oh come on, Robert. Do you expect me to believe that Chris Card et al won’t get involved the moment the bell rings?” Comet inquires incredulously.

“No.”

“...aren’t you meant to defend him?” Comet says, non-plussed.

“I don’t need to,” Riley responds happily. “It’s No-DQ - Chris, Megan, Natasha and, yes, Allison can do whatever they want!”

Toxxic’s music starts to die away... but before production can queue up the next track a speeding bullet of muscle and sinew simply sprints out from the backstage area and streaks past the startled straight-edger, heading directly for the ring!

“RRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!”

*DING-DING-DING!*

“It’s Jamie Drazon!” Comet squeals in delight as the Hardcore Maniac springs to his feet and starts laying about him. “Unwilling to participate in the posturing and the preening, Citizen Drazon has got straight down to business-”

“-that being, getting his ass handed to him,” Riley finishes with satisfaction.

Sure enough, in the ring not only Tom Flesher and Landon Maddix but also Chris Card have begun to triple-team the ballistic Drazon. The Hardcore Maniac is putting up a ferocious fight, but even a man trained for combat such as he finds it difficult to fend off three foes at once, particularly when one is a martial arts expert like himself. Meanwhile on the outside Toxxic is laughing his arse off - then abruptly composes himself and hops up to the ring apron. Once there the straight-edger waits for the four men in the ring to be clumped suitably together before vaulting to the top rope and flying through the air, wiping all four out with a springboard crossbody!

“DRAY-ZON!”

“DRAY-ZON!”

“DRAY-ZON!”

The crowd finally finds someone they like in the mess that’s cluttering the ring, and it is indeed the Hardcore Maniac who is up first! Toxxic stands a moment later and Darazon looks about to kick the straight-edger’s head off... but Toxxic motions to the fallen Maddix, Flesher and Card, pointing out that he did take them out as well... and Drazon turns away, eager to get to grips with Landon once more. Meanwhile, Toxxic sticks two fingers up at him behind his back...

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

...then gets taken down to the mat by a recovering Tom Flesher!

“.....”

And the crowd, to be honest, haven’t got a clue who they should be cheering on that one. So they stick with what they know.

“DRAY-ZON!”

“DRAY-ZON!”

“DRAY-ZON!”

Flesher looks to get into the ‘mount’ position on Toxxic (while Riley nearly has a seizure), but in this no-DQ environment the straight-edger is proving a surprisingly slippery opponent and Tom is forced to guard his crotch against desperately flailing fists. In the meantime Drazon tries to haul Maddix up in order to get his pasting off to a good start, but Landon is cowering in a whimpering ball on the mat and is proving surprisingly intractable. Drazon leans down to get a good grip-

*CHING!!*

-and Chris Card slams a forearm up between the Hardcore Maniac’s legs! Drazon’s eyes bulge and the Canadian falls forward to his knees, and the sudden cessation in hostilities causes Maddix to come out of his shell. He and Card grab Drazon and push the testicularly-traumatised competitor into a sitting position against the bottom turnbuckle before Landon retreats across the ring and starts to stomp on the mat.

“DRAY-ZON!”

“DRAY-ZON!”

“DRAY-ZON!”

Ignoring the wishes of Connecticut, Landon sprints across the ring and launches himself feetfirst at the Hardcore Maniac’s face, hitting a devastating bootscrape and ending up on the arena floor! Chris Card smiles as Drazon rolls out of the ring and *thuds* onto the mats... then the smile is replaced with a look of complete shock as Drazon gets straight back up, growling, and heads for Landon!

“RRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!”

“DRAY-ZON!”

“DRAY-ZON!”

“DRAY-ZON!”

“How has Citizen Drazon got up from that awful move?” Comet asks in disbelief.

“I have it on good authority that stupidity dulls your synapses,” Riley informs his partner. “Drazon should start feeling a pain in his face at around five o’clock tomorrow morning.”

“And your ‘good authority’ is...?”

“I simply watched a few Dace Night matches.”

While Drazon is no-selling on the outside Flesher is managing to control his own opponent as Nick Soapdish looks on, prepared to count a pinfall at any point. But unaware to the Superior One a lithe female shape with red-and-black dreadlocks suddenly slides into the ring behind him, rears back with a steel chair and-

*CRACK!!*

-waffles Flesher in the back of the head!

“That’s Jet!” Comet cries in surprise. “Toxxic’s girlfriend did come to the party after all!”

“You leave Tom alone!” Riley shouts desperately at the dreadlocked beauty. “Just because you don’t appreciate him!”

Seeing Landon’s ally being floored, Megan and Natasha move to get into the ring and protect the Superior One, but Jet brandishes the chair and both back away again as Megan thinks of her face and Natasha looks confused at the lack of testicles to kick. Jet turns around to check on her boyfriend-

-and Allison Onita comes out of left field with a SPEAR~! The chair slips from Jet’s hands but she’s not out of it yet, and the two girls start a desperate scrap on the mat!

“Allison Onita is a trained wrestler, if an unsuccessful one, and Jet is currently in training,” Comet notes, the excitement audibly building in his voice. “And do you know what this means, Robert?”

“I have a feeling you’re going to tell me...”

“WE’VE GOT A CAAAAAAATTTTFFFFFIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHHHTTTTTTTT!!”

The crowd start to get into Allison and Jet rolling around on the canvas, but just as things start to look interesting Toxxic hooks Flesher’s leg and Soapdish drop to count...

ONE!

TWO!!

TH-

Kickout!

But Flesher is too tough to stay down from one chairshot, and the Superior One kicks out! Meanwhile on the outside Landon Maddix is hanging back as Drazon and Chris Card exchange kicks.

“Robert, I can’t believe this contest,” Comet declares. “This sort of en-masse brawling isn’t in the rules-”

“Comet, there are no rules!” Riley explains impatiently.

“Well then, it’s not in the spirit of the match-”

“The spirit of the match is that there are no rules!” Riley shouts. “Come on, did you expect Tom Flesher, Landon Maddix, Toxxic and Jamie Drazon to even pretend to wrestle this straight-up?”

Landon leans against the guard rail, watching the two martial arts experts spar - then is unpleasantly surprised by a drink being poured over his head! With a swearword on his lips ‘La Cucuracha’ turns around... and finds himself looking straight into the eyes of ‘Hollywood’ Spike Jenkins!

“LET’S GO JENKINS!”

“LET’S GO JENKINS!”

“LET’S GO JENKINS!”

Landon backs away, uncertain where Spike came from and uncomfortably aware that in this environment the California native can do as he wishes... and his suspicions are borne out as Spike hurdles the rail and goes for him! Landon’s overwhelming instinct in the face of any new threat is to run, and run he does as Spike chases after him!

“Spike Jenkins getting involved now,” Comet notes. “Perhaps he still feels that he should have beaten Citizen Maddix for the USJL Title, or perhaps he is simply appalled by the level of criminality evident here...”

“Or perhaps he’s joined forces with Toxxic,” Riley suggests. “That’s the rumour backstage, you know.”

“Please, Robert - to even think about Spike Jenkins joining with that miserable specimen is laughable!” Comet declares haughtily.

Landon scrambles into the ring in an attempt to get away from Spike, but only comes face-to-face with a startled Toxxic, still on the mat after his attempt to pin Flesher failed. Without breaking his stride Landon leaps forwards and-

*CRACK!!*

-nails a Shining Wizard on the kneeling straight-edger! Toxxic topples backwards and Landon continues straight on over his opponent before sliding out under the bottom rope opposite! Drazon has managed to get the better of Chris Card with a stunning Muay Thai roundhouse to the jaw, but the Hardcore Maniac is unprepared for La Cucuracha to leap forward over his head and bring him down to the arena floor with the Throwback! Meanwhile Spike Jenkins stops to catch his breath in the ring (it’s all the joints, you know)...

...and extends a hand to help Toxxic to his feet!

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

“YOU BOTH SUCK!”

“YOU BOTH SUCK!”

“YOU BOTH SUCK!”

Cyclone Comet’s jaw drops. Bobby Riley’s smile widens. And then it goes away again as Spike and Toxxic turn and start pounding away on Tom Flesher.

“Comet, I’m feeling this overwhelming urge to use the words ‘pounding’ and ‘Tom Flesher’ in the same sentence...” the colour man says unsteadily.

“Resist, Citizen Riley!” the masked man (no, not that one) commands with all the authority Spandex can bring to bear.

Flesher struggles up to his knees under the attack, and as Bobby Riley struggles to contain his excitement at the sight of his favourite wrestler on his knees in front of two men the Superior One grabs both Toxxic and Spike behind said knees, looking to bring them down! Unfortunately for the former World Champion his one-on-one style of mat wrestling is somewhat less effective against two men and although his assailants wobble they remain standing. That is until Natasha and Megan clamber unnoticed into the ring behind them and simultaneously lowblow both men!

*CHA-CHING!!*

Toxxic and Spike crumble, and Flesher topples forwards to pin the Straight-Edge Sensation... but Nick Soapdish has been caught up watching the Jet/Allison catfight, which is still raging in the far corner of the ring and both girls are now down to their respective bras! Natasha and Megan each grab an arm, haul the distracted official around 180 degrees and point his head at the pin, whereupon Soapdish drops to count...

ONE!

TWO!!

TH-

Kickout!

But Toxxic isn’t done yet, and the straight-edger’s shoulder leaves the mat before the three! Natasha and Megan look to restrain Spike as he tries to get up while Flesher tries to turn Toxxic over for the Superior Stretch Beta - but just then Jamie Drazon returns to the ring, wielding a well-known weapon that he just pulled out from under the ring and laid Card and Maddix low with!

“It’s the pool balls in a sock!” Comet cries with a mixture of delight and fear. “A weapon to smash skulls and batter brains!”

The girls scatter as Drazon approaches and the Hardcore Maniac swings for Flesher’s head, but with Superior Speed the Buffalo native dodges the blow before hitting a double-leg blast takedown on his opponent. The Canadian crashes down to the mat but slams a fist into the side of Flesher’s head, knocking the former World Champion off him!

“DRAY-ZON!” *clap-clap-clap*

“DRAY-ZON!” *clap-clap-clap*

“DRAY-ZON!” *clap-clap-clap*

The Hardcore Maniac reaches for his trusty weapon and brings it up, ready to treat the Superior One to a free concussion, but Jamie suddenly gets cut short by a steel chairshot-

*CRACK!!*

-from Spike Jenkins!?

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

“OK... I’ve officially lost track of what’s going on now,” Riley admits. “I thought Spike was on Toxxic’s and Drazon’s side, but now I don’t know.”

“Well, maybe Spike and Toxxic don’t like Drazon much either?” Comet asks hopelessly.

Spike is holding the chair that Jet brought into the ring, and now uses it for its original purpose of-

*CRACK!!*

-pasting Flesher in the head with it (come on, when was the last time anyone in the SWF used a steel chair to sit on?). Tom slumps down and a groggy Toxxic appears to be about to go for a cover, but then Maddix and Card make their return and charge across the ring to engage their foes and save the match!

“Is this even recognisable as a match anymore?” Riley asks.

“YOU ALL SUCK!”

“YOU ALL SUCK!”

“YOU ALL SUCK!”

“You know Robert, I’m hard-pushed to disagree with them,” Comet comments. “As a main event, this certainly lacks a certain...”

“Order?”

“Structure.”

“Rules.”

“Wrestling.”

“Everything really, except two half-naked girls rolling around and fighting,” Riley sighs dejectedly.

“And they say entertainment is dead.”

Jet and Allison have rolled out to the floor now and are still scrapping, either utilising legitimate shoot fighting techniques or simply having an out-an-out girly barney - either way they’re gradually stripping each other, and it is this that is keeping the crowd even vaguely interested in the goings-on.

“PULL HER PANTS OFF!” *clap clap clap-clap-clap*

“PULL HER PANTS OFF!” *clap clap clap-clap-clap*

“PULL HER PANTS OFF!” *clap clap clap-clap-clap*

In the ring, Maddix squares off with Spike and Card faces Toxxic, but as the blows fly back and forth thick and fast a much larger man comes running down the ramp accompanied by a smaller man in a suit and glasses!

“That’s...” Comet begins as the newcomer slides into the ring. “That’s Sean Davis, the rookie who had such an impressive debut against Rob Gilbert earlier tonight! What’s he doing here?”

“YOU SUCK TOO!”

“YOU SUCK TOO!”

“YOU SUCK TOO!”

The Perfect Storm stands tall in the ring for a second, then crashes into the back of Card and Maddix and sending them both down with a double enzui-clothesline! Before their opponents can react Spike hauls Maddix back up again and hits the Bad Beat, dropping the Cockroach to the mat! Card gets hoisted up by Davis, who grabs Technical Perfection around the waist and lifts him high into the air before spiking him down with the Maelstrom! Finally Toxxic brings the groggy Flesher up and double-underhooks him, looking for the Toxxic Shock Syndrome... but Flesher backdrops out of it!

“LIKE WE CARE!”

“LIKE WE CARE!”

“LIKE WE CARE!”

However the Superior One is not safe yet, because Sean Davis waffles him in the face with the chair - at which point Michael Hall has evidently had enough and calls for the bell!

*DING-DING-DING!*

“Ladies and gentlemen, due to excessive interference for both parties and team infighting, this match has been declared a NO CONTEST!” Funyon booms, causing Hartford, Connecticut to boo even louder.

“Well Citizens, what a main event that was!” Comet declares, apparently reading off a cue-card as Spike, Toxxic and Sean Davis along with Marcus Washington stand tall in the ring. “Join us next Wednesday for more amazing action!”

“Just give up, Comet. You’re not fooling anyone.”

Ah well, heres the match that literally didn't make it. Hope it bears up to your scrutiny chaps ;)

SWF Storm returns from commercial, the cameras once again panning around the sold out Hartford Civic Centre, the fans are on their feet and hyped as Storm marches ever on towards it finale, the arena practically buzzing with the excitement of the crowd. The cameras zoom over the fans for a few moments, drinking in the atmosphere of people who’ve seen a lot of action already and just keep wanting more, signs and cheers being raised as the camera view pans over the sea of faces.

To a fresh round of cheers the steel cage hanging above the ring is slowly, ponderously lowered from its roost at the top of the arena, the bottom of the cage finally lands squarely on the apron and is fastened down by the SWF crew. Eventually the camera view switches back to the announcer’s table as Cyclone Comet and his partner Bobby Riley get ready as always to continue calling the action.

“Hello everyone and welcome back to SWF Storm! We’ve already had a succession of great matches tonight Citizens and we are still not finished yet! We still have two matches to come tonight including a Main Event that you won’t want to miss!” says Comet enthusiastically, practically yelling into his headset, as he’s as hyped up as the fans.

“That’s right Comet we get to see tom Flesher and Landon Maddix go up against Toxxic and Jay Dawg in a Tornado Tag Team Match!!” Riley says gleefully. “Tom Flesher will be looking to make a statement tonight, there’s only room for one contender to the SWF World Title and he wants to make sure everyone knows it will be the Superior One!”

“An interesting point Robert, Citizen Toxxic has proved to be night on unstoppable since he debuted in the SWF. Also Citizens Maddix and Drazon will have another opportunity to maim one another tonight as they have been thrown into the main event mix.”

“Maddix defeated Jamie Drazon on Smarkdown to retain the ICTV Title but tonight a new challenger is going to rise up against Landon.”

“Indeed so Robert! Citizens Dangerous and Aecas will fight for the opportunity of facing Citizen Maddix in a Cage match! Citizen Dangerous can only win this match by escaping over the top of the cage, while Citizen Aecas can only win by pinfall or submission.”

“Very true Comet, and that will only happen when these two get their asses out here and into that cage!”

As if on cue the arena lights dim and a sultry female voice speaks two words that get the fans up on their feet and cheering.

“Johnny Dangerous…”

“After the Flesh” by My Life With The Thrill Kill Cult hits the speakers as smoke begins boiling from the entranceway a barrage of strobe lights cut through the haze as Johnny Dangerous makes his entrance to another loud pop from the fans. The Dangerous One pauses on the stage for a moment hands on his hips and a smile on his face as he surveys the cheering fans before him before starting to walk confidently down the aisle as Funyon raises his mic.

“The following contest is a Cage match for the Number One Contendership for the ICTV Title! Johnny Dangerous can only win this match by escaping over the top of the cage and Aecas can must score a pinfall or a submission to win! Making his way to the ring from Las Vegas, Nevada! Weighing 217lbs! THE SECRET AGENT! JOHNNY DANGEROUS!”

The cheering of the fans only increases as Funyon’s voice booms around the arena, Johnny taking his time as he walks down the aisle slapping palms with the fans on either side. He speeds up his pace as he nears the mouth of the aisle and runs the last few metres to the ring, jogging up the steel steps and through the door that referee Eddy long opens for him.

Stepping into the ring Johnny quickly moves to the nearest corner, leaping up to the second rope and raising his arms to milk another cheer from the crowd, the sound making him smile before he removes his dark glasses with one hand and leaps back into the ring.

“Citizen Dangerous is looking to be in a positive mood tonight Robert.”

“Of course he’s in a positive mood Comet he can run rings around Aecas and in this kind of match what’s not to be happy about?”

“The fact that they he’s locked in there with a seven foot giant in the first place?”

“Well…”

Johnny tosses his glasses to Funyon as Riley tries to find a smart retort, the Barracuda beginning a short series of stretches, loosening himself up for the coming match his eyes never leaving the stage.

The Dangerous One doesn’t have long to wait as the lights drop once again, though this time the arena is plunged into pitch blackness, the fans erupting once again as the mournful tolling of a graveyard bell echoes around the arena.

"Are you scared?"

"He's here......."

Amon Amarth’s “Death In Fire” blasts out from the arena speakers as red lights begin to strobe around the arena, like an alarm system gone wrong - or a system that is warning of imminent carnage. Thick smoke boils up from the entranceway, filling the air and carpeting the floor, a blood red spotlight picks out Aecas as he stands deep in the depths of the smoke, an eerie silhouette will a large staff in his right hand.

Aecas raises the staff above his head holding it high with both hands. A long wicked blade snaps forth from the staff as Aecas tips his head back spraying a mist of blood into the air, inciting a roar of approval from the crowd as he begins to stride down the aisle.

“And his opponent! Weighing 315lbs! And hailing from Shrewsbury, England! THE BLACK ANGEL! AECAS!”

“And Citizen Aecas is certainly getting a warm reception tonight Robert!” Comet states as the Black Angel slowly makes his way around the ring, ignoring Johnny and the cage that surrounds him for the time being as he moves towards the Time Keeper’s table. The seven footer places his Flick Scythe reverently against the table, before walking past the announcer’s table as Funyon makes his own exit from the ring. The giant grins at Comet and Riley with bloody teeth as he heads towards the squared circle, ignoring Funyon and climbing up the ring steps to step through the ropes and into the ring.

Johnny Dangerous turns to face his large opponent, having watched him all the way down to the ring as referee Eddy Long closes and bolts the door behind them before moving into the centre of the ring. Long checks the position of both men and, satisfied that nothing will start until he says so he turns towards the Time Keeper and signals him to start the match.

DING! DING! DING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The two men lunge at one another as the bell rings, slamming together straight into a collar and elbow tie up, both men strain against one another but Aecas’ greater strength quickly begins to tell in the uneven contest. The giant breaks the tie up quickly, wrapping one huge arm around the head of the Dangerous One and drawing him in close with a Side Headlock. Johnny reacts quickly, pushing Aecas back into the ropes and using all his strength shoots him off across the ring, the ring ropes bending alarmingly and the cage rattles as the Black Angel rebounds and runs full tilt across the ring. Johnny ducks under a huge Decapitator attempt by Aecas, whipping around to face the big man as he rebounds from the ropes a second time.

The Black Angel comes off of the ropes and gets knocked straight down as the Dangerous One counters with a lightning fast Spinning Back Kick. Aecas is quick to get back to his feet, but the Barracuda is faster, pouncing on his opponent from behind and latching his arms around the giants middle in a solid waistlock. Aecas is quick to counter this latest threat however, snapping an elbow back into Johnny’s face before he drops to one knee, both hands coming up to latch onto the head of the secret agent, hauling him down over one broad shoulder with a quick Snapmare. The Dangerous One quickly rolls through and springs back up to his feet, locking eyes with Aecas as the two men share a brief standoff, the Black Angel starting to pace the ring as the fans begin to warm up in the early going.

“A short burst of action that did not produce any decisive results for either of these two men Robert.”

“They’re just feeling each other out Comet, but Johnny would be wise not to try and go toe to toe with Aecas, he may be tough but Aecas is just too strong for him. He has to use his speed and agility to put Aecas down and shimmy up and out of the cage.”

“How does one shimmy up a Cage Robert?”

“….”

Aecas stops pacing after a long moment and the two men square off for a second time, this time however the Dangerous One ducks under Aecas’ questing arms and slips behind his giant opponent once again latching on a waistlock. Aecas once again jams an elbow backwards into the head of the Barracuda, a second hard elbow follows loosening the grip just enough for the Black Angel to spin around and try for another Decapitator Lariat, but Johnny ducks yet again. Both men spin around to face the other, the Dangerous One lashing out with a perfectly timed booted foot, kicking Aecas squarely in the gut. The kick has the desired effect as it doubles Aecas over leaving him wide open for the Secret Agent and the Barracuda doesn’t waste the opportunity, stepping in close and wrapping an arm around the head of his massive opponent.

A split second before the Johnny can hit the DDT two massive hands latch onto his legs and Aecas straightens up, easily lifting the struggling Secret Agent into the air and onto his right shoulder. Johnny struggles for a brief moment before Aecas yanks down hard on his opponent’s legs, catapulting the smaller man backwards and slamming him backfirst into the canvas with a huge Spinebuster! The fans cheer as Aecas blocks the DDT attempt but the cheers quickly die away as the Johnny rolls to one side and quickly stands back up glaring at Aecas as one hand presses against his back.

“Big Spinebuster by Citizen Aecas, a nice counter to the DDT but Citizen Dangerous is hardly fazed!”

“He’s got a lot to prove in this match Comet, he needs a win over Aecas to erase the loss that he suffered on Smarkdown to Tom Flesher. Aecas had better not take him lightly or he’ll find himself in a world of hurt.”

Aecas eyes his opponent for a moment as Johnny pops up from the Spinebuster, the giant then gives a slight shrug and simply smashes his huge right forearm into the face of his opponent, sending the Secret Agent reeling back a pace. The Black Angel slams another hard forearm into the head of the Barracuda following it up with a swift left cross that rocks his opponent back once again, slowly driving Johnny towards the corner.

Finally the Dangerous One gathers his wits about him, ducking under another forearm smash he slips behind the Black Angel yet again slamming a hard punch into the giant’s kidneys. Aecas arches his back as another sharp blow hammers into the kidney area followed by another, driving him into the turnbuckles himself. Aecas twists in the corner trying for yet another elbow but the Dangerous One ducks out of the way letting Aecas turn himself around in before smashing a hard right into the belly of the champion.

“This has turned into more of a brawl than a wrestling match so far Robert!”

“What do you expect in a Cage match Comet you have to do what you can to win. If that means beating the crap out of your opponent with fists then so be it! Johnny has got to keep Aecas on his toes, he’s got to keep working over the big man any way he can, and keep him down long enough to escape.”

As Aecas doubles over in the corner once more Johnny hops back a pace, waiting for his huge opponent to raise his head before he leaps forwards and sends his right foot crashing into the chin of the Black Angel with a devastating Superkick.

“Johnny Kick! He may have broken Aecas’ jaw with that one!”

“Indeed! Citizen Aecas had nowhere to go and now Citizen Dangerous has a chance to take the fight to his opponent!”

Aecas staggers out of the corner one hand clutching his face leaving Johnny to pick his spots, the Barracuda quickly stepping close to the Black Angel and delivering a sharp Martial Art’s kick against Aecas’ left knee, making the big man stumble. Johnny presses the advantage kicking at Aecas’ knee and his thigh forcing the big man to try and cover up as the Barracuda picks at his left leg. After a hard kick to the kneecap that has Aecas clutching at his knee the Dangerous One hits the ropes and tries to clothesline the big man, his arm impacts against Aecas with a hard slap, rocking the giant back a pace but otherwise doing nothing.

Aecas looks at Johnny for a moment before the Secret Agent runs off the ropes and tries a harder clothesline meeting with the same result, Aecas straightens up slowly as Johnny runs to the ropes yet again. The Black Angel tries for a Big Boot but the Barracuda is too quick and ducks underneath it, bouncing off the ropes on the other side and dropkicking Aecas in the knee as he turns around.

The giant’s knee finally gives way underneath him dropping him down to one leg; Johnny takes advantage of this with another quick dropkick right into Aecas’ face! The fans let out a big cheer for the Dangerous One as he finally manages to get his opponent down.

“Citizen Dangerous seems to be taking your advice Robert! Using his speed to his advantage! It may be the only thing that’s going to save him in this match!”

“What do you mean may be? WILL be, I think you mean Comet. That Superkick rocked Aecas but he’s got to pull out some bigger moves if he wants to get out of there.”

Almost as if he can hear Bobby Riley’s words Johnny rushes towards the ropes. Grabbing the top rope and jumping onto the second, the Dangerous One springs off of the middle rope spinning around in mid air to land a hard leg drop right across Aecas’ neck! The giant jerks spasmodically as Johnny’s leg guillotines his throat, the Dangerous One quickly moving back up to his feet and grabbing hold of the long hair of the Black Angel. Half dragging Aecas back up to his feet Johnny hops onto the second rope of the corner quickly slapping on a face lock before he jumps up. The Secret Agent’s feet hit the mesh of the cage and he pushes himself off, twisting his body and planting Aecas head first into the canvas with a savage Tornado DDT.

“Cage assisted DDT by Citizen Dangerous!”

“That’s one reason why Johnny is going to win this Comet, using the cage to his advantage.”

With his opponent prone on the mat the Secret Agent immediately heads to the nearest wall of the cage climbing the ropes like a ladders rungs as his fingers hook into the chain links of the cage.

“And Citizen Dangerous is trying to end the match quickly Robert.”

“Sensible policy Comet, he put Aecas down and he’s doing the smart thing in trying to escape before he gets bogged down.”

“Although perhaps a better thing to do would be to make sure Citizen Aecas is going to stay down!”

Comet’s words are well founded as Aecas slowly sits up inside the cage, his blank gaze locking on to the climbing Secret Agent, the sight galvanizing the giant back into action despite the pain in his forehead and the Black Angel quickly pushes himself back up to his feet. Johnny reaches up and grabs another handful of cage wall, digging the front of his right boot into the mesh below him trying to find a foothold as his left keeps his balance on the top rope.

Moving over to his climbing opponent Aecas quickly latches one huge hand around Johnny’s left foot tugging at it hard and pulling it off the rope, trying to prise the Secret Agent from the cage wall. The thin steel bites into Johnny’s fingers and in desperation he kicks back at Aecas with his free foot, the boot catching the giant just above the eye has the desired effect as Aecas lets go almost immediately, one hand moving up to his face as he takes a few steps backwards. Regaining his balance on the top rope, Johnny quickly turns around using the cage to aid his balance as he sees Aecas starting to come towards him once again.

Not wasting any time Johnny launches himself from the top rope planting both his boots on Aecas’ chest with a Missile Dropkick, staggering the big man again but not putting him down. Johnny is quickly back to his feet again, rushing at Aecas and doubling him over with a vicious martial arts kick to the gut. The Dangerous One takes a step back before slamming his foot into Aecas’ face jerking the big man back upright before a second Johnny Kick sends Aecas staggering back into a corner.

With his opponent temporarily stunned Johnny scales the corner quickly as he can, using the cage to help him climb up behind the dazed Black Angel. Before Aecas can stop him, the Dangerous One wraps an arm around his head and jumps forwards off of the corner, using the extra height to plant Aecas’ face squarely into the canvas with a huge Bulldog!

“Citizen Dangerous showing no fear of his large opponent here Robert! He’s taking the fight right to Citizen Aecas!”

“Yes he is Comet and Aecas had better do something soon or this could be over very quickly. Johnny has Aecas down once again and he needs to get out of that ring pronto before Aecas has a chance to slow the pace down.”

Aecas doggedly gets back to his feet, backing away into a corner and shaking his head to try and clear the cobwebs from his mind as the Dangerous One retreats to the far side of the ring, pausing for a moment before charging at Aecas as he sits in the corner. Aecas sees Johnny coming towards him the giant simply charges out of the corner to meet the Barracuda in the middle of the ring! Aecas smashes into the smaller man with a devastating Lariat, turning Johnny upside down and inside out before like a rag doll before he flops back to the canvas.

“Decapitator!” Comet shrieks happily.

“See what I mean Comet?!”

Aecas turns back to face his opponent the expression on the giant’s face is more of annoyance than pain as he grabs Johnny by the hair and pulls him upright. The Black Angel steps in behind his opponent, locking the Dangerous One’s arms in a Full Nelson before heaving him backwards, dropping the smaller man on the back his head with a hard Dragon Suplex. Immediately after the hard impact Aecas locking his body into a huge bridge for his first pinfall attempt of the match.

ONE!!!!!

TWO!!!!!!

NO!!!!!!!

The fans explode as Johnny’s right shoulder shoots off of the canvas a second before Long’s hand can slap the mat for three, the Barracuda not willing to give up yet as Aecas lifts his groggy opponent back up to his feet once more. The Black Angel looks out at the fans for a moment, his left hand releasing the Dangerous One’s slacks for a moment to draw a thumb across his throat before he hoists the Barracuda into the air. Despite the hard knock he just took Johnny still has enough of his wits about him to wriggle out of Aecas’ grasp before the giant can complete his Brainbuster.

Landing behind the giant Johnny once again goes back to a waistlock, and in a show of strength that delights the fans and more importantly surprises Aecas heaves the big man off of his feet and drops him on the back of his head with a shout of effort and a German Suplex!

“What a show of strength by Citizen Dangerous! I didn’t know he had it in him Robert!”

“I don’t think Aecas did either Comet. Johnny’s got another chance and he’d better grab it with both hands!”

Rolling out of the way before Aecas’ heavy legs land on him Johnny gets back up, seizing his giant opponent by the hair he pulls the Black Angel into a sitting position just long enough to smash him back down with a vicious martial arts kick to the temple. As Aecas drops back to the mat Johnny moves to the corner, using the turnbuckles to aid his ascent, the cheers of the fans ringing in his ears as he begins to climb not seeing the Black Angel stirring slightly behind him.

“Citizen Dangerous is going up again Robert! But I still think he’s making a mistake by turning his back on Citizen Aecas!”

“If he doesn’t try to get out now Comet then he might not get out of there at all!”

As Johnny continues to scale the cage Aecas is slowly getting back up behind him, the giant looking up as Johnny gets higher and higher, his hands finally gripping the thick metal bars that crown the top of the cage as he struggles to pull himself up. Aecas seeing his opponent getting away moves as quickly as he can to the corner and scaling it himself, his height giving him an instant advantage as he reaches up trying to grab the Secret Agent’s legs as he climbs. The Black Angel’s hands miss Johnny’s legs and the Secret Agent finally pulls himself up to the top of the cage, swinging his legs over the top before his eyes widen in horror as he finds himself face to face with Aecas, the Black Angel grabbing Johnny by the hair and holding it tight.

“Citizen Aecas has Citizen Dangerous in a very precarious position Robert! Half in and half out of the cage!”

“”Victory is within his reach Comet but only if he can dislodge Aecas first!”

Johnny’s legs flail in mid air high above the ground as the Secret Agent tries to fight off his giant aggressor, slamming lefts and rights into the head of the Black Angel as he tries to free himself. Aecas holding onto the cage with one hand while the other grips the head of his opponent is powerless to defend himself against the onslaught, however that doesn’t mean he can’t fight back as he promptly proves by head butting the Secret Agent right between the eyes.

Before the Dangerous One can react his brains are rattled by another meeting of the minds as the hard bone of Aecas’ head cracks into his once again, a third hard headbutt makes Johnny more manageable as Aecas forcibly drags the Secret Agent back towards the ring. Taking advantage of his opponent’s vulnerability Aecas quickly wraps his right arm around Johnny’s head, his left hand grabbing a handful of the Secret Agent’s slacks as he pulls off the top of the cage. The two men stand perfectly vertical for a moment before they topple back into the ring far below, Aecas landing hard on his back and Johnny who had further to fall bouncing off the canvas after he hits.

“Superplex all the way from the top! That could be the move that ends the match Robert!”

The fans chant the names of both men as they lie prone in the middle of the ring as Aecas, predictably is the first to react. Dragging himself over to the body of his opponent the Black Angel slumps down on top of Johnny, one arm hooking a leg and bringing it in tightly as he tries to end it all.

“There’s still life in Citizen Dangerous!”

“He wants the ICTV Title Comet. He craves it like you crave your next Pepsi Max ad.”

“Citizen Dangerous’ cravings have nothing to do with my advertising of SPARKLING, REFRESHING PEPSI MAX! IT GIVES YOU THAT CLEAN CRISP TASTE THAT COKE CANNOT MATCH CITIZENS!”

As Comet shamelessly plugs Pepsi Max and Commissioner Zenon starts docking his pay Aecas is getting back up to his feet, dragging Johnny back up to his as he moves. The Black Angel scoops the Dangerous One up and slowly yet purposefully walks to the nearest corner, shoving Johnny upside into the turnbuckles into a Tree of Woe. Aecas quickly backs up into the centre of the ring looking out at the fans as he stamps his right foot down on the canvas before charging back at the corner as the crowd comes alive once again and Yakuza Kicks Johnny Dangerous in his left knee!

“OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go the fans as the impact draws a cry of agony from the Secret Agent as the huge boot of the Black Angel cracks against his kneecap.

“Yakuza kick to the knee! Aecas just made his first sensible move of the match! If Johnny can’t walk he can’t climb a cage either!”

Not wasting any time Aecas grabs the top rope to help steady himself and continues to attack Johnny’s left knee, the heavy New Rock boot slamming against the joint once, then twice and finally three times before the Dangerous One manages to free himself from the corner. Aecas merely watches as Johnny crumples back to the canvas before he stands over the Secret Agent, huge hands grabbing the left leg as he twists it back and stamps a boot on the back of the Dangerous One’s head as he applies a Half Boston Crab to his opponent.

Johnny’s screams are half muffled by the canvas as Aecas slowly leans back, putting more pressure on the joint as his foot merely presses down harder on the neck of his opponent.

“Citizen Aecas battered the knee and now he’s looking like he wants to rip it off!”

“The problem is Comet this is exactly what he should have done in the first place. Lock on a submission move and hold it on till Johnny tapped!”

Aecas cranks the captured leg back once again, and though Johnny is in terrible pain he continues to shake his head as Eddy long asks him if he wants to quit, the Secret Agent in him refusing to submit while his goal is still unfulfilled. Aecas keeps the pressure on for another few seconds, each one seeming like a year to Johnny before the giant finally releases his hold.

“What the hell is he doing now?!” Riley shouts. “Its no wonder he doesn’t get anywhere if does things like this!”

Aecas turns to the fans who seem to be as confused as Riley before motioning with his hands and yelling out two words that get them cheering again. “Assault Driver!”

“THAT’s what he’s doing Robert! If the submission move won’t work the Assault Driver will!”

“AYE-CAS! AYE-CAS! AYE-CAS!”

Aecas grins at the fans as Johnny drags himself up behind him, the Secret Agent using the ropes for support, those two words filling him with a sudden burst of adrenaline as he knows he has to do something quickly. In spite of the pain Johnny lashes out with his left leg as Aecas turns around, the Black Angel easily catches the weak kick but its only a feint as Johnny leaps high into the air, his right foot CRACKING against the back of Aecas’ head.

“Enzugiri!” Comet shrieks as both men hit the canvas, Aecas clutching the back of his head and Johnny grabbing his left knee as the impact of the fall jars the joint.

“And THAT’s what you get for needless showboating Comet!”

In the ring the fans begin to chant for both men as Johnny Dangerous sucks it up, the Secret Agent grabbing the ropes once more, physically dragging himself back up to his feet putting all his weight onto his right leg. Getting a good grip on the mesh wall of the cage Johnny starts to climb up once more, but Aecas’ kicks and Half Crab have done their work slowing the Dangerous One’s upward momentum to a snails pace. Despite the pain Johnny tries to cut it out, forcing himself up until he’s standing on the top rope trying to find footholds in the mesh to get to the top.

“Johnny Dangerous showing remarkable fortitude to get that far up Comet.”

“Indeed he is Robert but I don’t think he’s going to get any further!”

Comet’s words are well founded as Aecas pushes himself back up one more time, the Black Angel’s desire to compete for the ICTV Title every bit as strong as Johnny;s. As the Dangerous one looks for a foothold, two big hands latch onto his left foot, pulling the injured limb away from the ropes and simply smashing that damaged knee into the cage wall. Johnny cries out as his battered knee is attacked once again, his grip lossening and then failing altogether as Aecas smashes his knee into the cage for a second time, the Dangerous One toppling back to the canvas.

Grabbing his opponent by the shirt Aecas hauls Johnny back up to his feet, half holding the Secret Agent up as he ducks down and shoves his head between the Dangerous One’s legs before standing up with Johnny on his shoulders. Aecas reaches up and grabs the Dangerous One’s wrists, before pulling Johnny forwards from his shoulders and sitting out, planting the Secret Agent head and neck first into the canvas with the Assault Driver! The fans erupt once again as Aecas leans forwards and crosses Johnny’s arms over his chest for the pinfall.

DING! DING! DING!

Amon Amarth’s “Death In Fire” explodes from the arena speakers once again, warring for domination with the cheers of the fans as Funyon raises the microphone to his lips, having to shout to make himself heard over the wall of sound.

“The winner of the match! And number one contender to the ICTV Title! THE BLACK ANGEL! AECAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Citizen Aecas has done it! Citizen Dangerous is no small obstacle to overcome but Citizen Aecas has earned the right to face our ICTV Champion Citizen Maddix!”

Aecas slowly pushes himself back up to his feet one more time, Eddy Long raising the hand of the big man to the cheers of the fans before he walks slowly to the cage door, unbolting it and stepping through the ropes and down the steps to the floor. The giant slowly moves over to the Timekeepers table, retrieving his Scythe before turning to start his journey up the ramp.

The Black Angel grins at the fans as he walks by, feeling palms slap his back and thousands of voices chanting his name, he walks up the ramp slowly before stopping just before the entranceway and turning around. The Black Angel lifts his Scythe high to another huge pop from the crowd, before turning around and slipping into the darkness of backstage.

“A good night for Citizen Aecas Robert.”

“He’d better savour this victory Comet because Maddix will squash his hopes like you or I would squash a bug.”

“We shall see Robert! Stay with us good Citizens as our Main Event is up next!”

And with those words the show fades back to commercial as the cage is slowly raised from the ring and Johnny Dangerous begins to limp slowly up the aisle.

I gotta say. Considering I was booked against someone who was 100lbs larger (a bit questionable), I did my best.

Well... if you find it hard to write against big opponents, logic would dictate you either adjust your moveset or scrap the wrestler and come back as someone bigger.
