Guest TDinDC1112 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 Shane and Kazarian Red and Sabin Team Japan Rude and Williams Devine and Young Team Mexico Daniels and Skipper Possibly AJ and Lynn D-Ray and Shark Boy Lower Level X guys they might bring in to job Possible a 1 time apperance by Spanky and Lo Ki It's time to make an X-Division Tag Title. If the X-Division is going to be the focus of the promtion, and you have so many guys that the only way to get them all in is to keep throwing bunches of them out there (and really, what are they wrestling for right now?), and they have a ton of natural pairings, this only makes sense to me. The only drawback to me is what it might do to the NWA Tag Titles. There's only a couple of teams that are involved with that title, and it might almost make it seem second rate, but really, who cares.
LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 People would probably just bitch that they're copying WCW's cruiserweight tag team division. It sure would make for some great matches, though.
Magus 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 TNA looks enough like WCW already, thank you very much.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 Half of TNA's roster is X-Division guys. It's a bad idea to completly seperate them in that regard.
Astro101 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 Just let the X guys battle the regular tag teams.
syxx2001 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 People said the same about the WCW Cruiser belts (what Astro said) and the Cruiser division was pretty good. Its like brands almost. A X brand and a Heavyweight brand. And if you have 4 guys who wrestle the same, theres always room for improvision. Remember Kidman's SSP to the outside of the ring on the last Nitro? Could he have done that in a tag match vs The Outsiders or Tuff and Buff?
Guest TDinDC1112 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 How would they be copying WCW? WCW had the cruiserweight tag division for all of a month.
Magus 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 TNA has a hard enough time getting the X Division over (its doing great right now. but that's mainly b/c their golden boy is there holding the belt, and they have no objections to booking him strong). they should focus more on making the X Division title more coveted and increasing competition for it instead of throwing more gold on the show as a quick fix. Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted July 8, 2004 I think that X tag titles aren't that good of an idea...yet. Down the road if they can make the tag division strong enough to take the hit of losing all the X teams (which right now I don't think it can do) then it could be a good idea. Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted July 8, 2004 Honestly, I think the fewer belts the better. If htere are enough belts for everyone to have some sort of title, each belt is weakened. Just look at WWE. It doesn't mean as much to be champ now that they have two.

It doesn't mean as much to be champ now that they have two. I agree with this stance, with the exception of the need for a midcard title. As for X-tag titles, I think it would be overkill for the X-Division. I'm not a fan of more than one set of tag titles, and I never have been. It can get confusing for people just starting to watch.
