Is it wicked not to care?

Hmmmm... I tend to agree Kinetic.  Although it's terrible that someone died young, I personally just couldn't stand TLC after Crazysexycool and Lisa Left-Eye Lopez' laughable excuses for solo tracks.  But on the other hand, I'm a firm believer in respecting the dead, and like I said earlier, anyone dying young is a tragedy (unless they're an evil dictator or something).

Though I couldn't stand your lame rapping and "No Scrubs", R.I.P. Ms. Lopes.

Yeah, I'm not a huge TLC fan but something like this is usually enough for a tinge of melancholy. I guess she won't be burning down any more mansions :(

How's this for weird.  A few days ago, on ESPN.com's Page 2 section, Jim Caple wrote a column saying which songs should be used for athletes at sporting events.  He took a shot at Lopes and Andre Rison, so I went there today to see if I could find it.  Low and behold, it had been edited out of the column.   Click here to see for yourself.

Prediction:  She gets the major tribute job from MTV that Aaliyah got, while Layne Staley gets nothing.

Maybe she will burn in hell.

See that would be ironic, cause this time, instead of doing the burning, she personally would be the one burning.

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAA!!!!!!!

Layne Staley got a 4 hour tribute on MTV2. PLayed all there videos and the Unplugged show.

Personally I dont care much for R&B or Rap, there the root of all evil today. But I do find it kinda weird that these performers r dying one after the other. First Aaliya (sp?), Layne, then this TLC girl. Who may be next?

I could personally care less about it.  It's gonna get craploads of coverage but thousands of people die everyday that are mothers or daughters and so on.  Just because she's famous(I guess WAS in this case)doesn't give the media any excuse to act like it's a bigger deal than it is.  I feel bad when REAL muscicians die....even if I don't like them.  But I don't really consider R&B or Rap all that real, but I'll give them credit when deserved.  3 R&B deaths in one year?  Looks like 2003's gonna be a good year for music.

I don't like their music, but my deepest thoughts go out to her friends and family.

2002. Almost the worst year in music so far.

My radio station said it as i woke up this morning and the Dj says "from 11 on it will be all TLC today. yeah right, hate that f.....(he pulled the mic away) band." that is soo terribly offensive but matter of opinion i guess.

he proceeded to call her a whore and a slut which im not going to say is not true, but is not what fans of hers need to hear(im not a fan by any stratch of the imagination btw)

I'm not going to act like I was ever a big TLC fan, but it's kind of weird that she's gone now. I don't think that her passing is neccesarily more important than anyone else's simply because she's a celebrity. You have to think of the fact that just because she made music that you didn't neccesarily like, she was bringing joy to the people who did like her music. Now she is gone and the talents that she shared with the people that did appreciate her remain in the form of the music that she made before she passed. I know it may sound selfish, but there are many times that I wish the Notorious BIG was still alive because I enjoyed his music so much. He left a lot of music for people to enjoy, but I wish he was still here to make more.

I know they don't bisit this board, my condolences go out to all who mourn the passing of Lisa Lopes.

I thought he died last year.

He was great. 'Ready To Die' may be my favourite album. It's the only one I've ever replayed immediately after the first listen. I took to it very quickly.

I had the tape and to quote Biggie, "I let my tape rock 'til my tape popped."

Death is always sad. However, it is an alarming rate of Death of Musicans since Aaalyiah's death last august. Although, Layne Staley brought his own ticket...Whose next? Calling it right here...Eric Clapton. Dunno why. But July 17th seems the date.

About all this Staley digging his own grave stuff, Lopes appears to have been speeding when she had the fatal accident. If you are going to say Staley deserved what he got you also have to say Lopes got what she deserved too. We all have choices, we all make mistakes, some mistakes can't be taken back, some are very hard to take back.

I really don't think there's a comparison to be drawn between speeding and a decade long heroin addiction.

I make a rebuttal...Layne was only hurting himself, Lisa Lopes not only put herself in danger but the other 5 or 6 people in the car with her and other civilians.

I dont know if she was driving or not but everybody else survied the crash and also they said she wasnt wearing seat belt and she proably would've have lived, I dont know who Layne guy wuz but i think he did that 2 himself and he knew what he was doing and kept on doing so, I think thats sad thou.
