Guest Rabies Posted April 27, 2002 Report Posted April 27, 2002 For one thing, I would like to put discredence to any claims that this guy is on steriods. Have you actually seen this man shoot up juice or pop in any roids? No? THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP! I give him the benefit of the doubt. Who the hell am I to judge or point accusations? We "smarks" or "smart marks" or whatever the industry wants to label us, speculate based on the limited information that is leaked out on the sheets. And we get our jollies out of it. That's cool, I admit it and proud of it, I just don't tell my normal friends what I do 30 minutes everyday, they don't need to know We are no differnet than Trekies. Now back onto the subject. I detest the criticisms about Scott's mic skills. They say he's incoherent and blurb out mumble jumble. Well folks, THAT'S HIS GIMMICK! His gimmick IS a steriod freak. In kayfabe, they sort of keep it taboo b/c it's basically a politically incorrect thing to say on TV, especially with Time Warner's strict standards and practices. It's kind of like how smarks say Lance Storm has no charisma or mic skills. Well folks, THAT'S HIS GIMMICK! He's supposed to have no charisma and be boring and monotone. The commentators even mentioned on TV. Some will also criticize his ring work. Look, it's a proven fact that Scott has talent in him. Whether if in his past or whatever, he can carry useless lugs into watchable matches to humanity (ie. Sid/Goldberg) and can work with great talent (Booker T) to great matches. He has talent and have the ability to work. And I doubt him being affililated with WWA is any factor with Vince signing him. We all know that is doomed to fail and I doubt Vince's knees is shaking from a glamourized indy promotion. And to add, Scott wasn't pushed as a singles competitor until 98-2001, when no one was watching and the entire casual fanbase is gone. Now, maybe if he's exposed to the larger audience, like today's, maybe he can draw $$$. If he does, everyone's happy, especially the wrestlers since what's good for the company is good for them in the long run. It doesn't matter how smarks say how the ring work is shitty or boring, or how his backstage antics is getting out of hand. If fuck-loads of money is being ka-plowed into Vince's office in Stamford, that's all that matters. Oh yeah, if my spelling or grammer is terrible, I'm drunk.
Guest Nater Posted April 27, 2002 Report Posted April 27, 2002 Things go where they belong.. Look at Booker T and Bagwell, after it became obvious that Bagwell is "what he is" they got rid of him. They decided Booker should work his way up again, so he got slowly moved down the scale. If Steiner really isnt worth it, they are gonna bench him. I mean, shit, Shawn was a punk so they threw him on the side. Are you looking out for the WWF's best interest in their talent's salaries and expenditures or just jumping down on a wrestler because its what a lot of smarks do? Give the guy a shot, if he doesnt work then we wont see him. btw nWo must be working.
