Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Naomichi Marufuji for the U30 title belt is an awesome match, but I forget the correct date at the moment.

Tiger Mask 4 and Heat vs Jushin Liger and koji kanemoto from 5/2/03, one of the best junior tag matches of that year.

Heat vs Curry Man from 2/1/04.

Takayama vs Nagata from either 5/2/02 or 5/2/03

Takayama vs Kobashi from 4/25/04, the most recent one that I saw of both, although Takayama was missing his usual fire, maybe due to Kobashi's slow down. Nonetheless it was a very stiff match with great drama, worth watching.

Nagata vs Kensuke Sasaki from 1/4/04. Very fast paced and very bloody.

Blue Wolf vs Hiroshi Tanahashi 11/29/03

Blue vs Nakanishi from an earlier tour that year, don't remember the date.

Cima vs Minoru Fujita 1/9/00, haven't watched that match in a while but remember it being good.

Try to remember more soon.

HEAT isnt terribly good in my eyes, but back when he was Minoru Tanaka, he was the man, Tanaka/Takehiro Murakama is almost must see.

Tiger Mask IV's best work, in my opinion, was pre-NJPW. Look for some of his Michinoku Pro matches, especially against anyone from Kaientai.

Tanahashi is someone I havent seen enough of to tell, but I enjoyed the G-2 Final against one Shinya Makabe.

Yoshihiro Takayama is an interesting case. He's a great worker, but sometimes gets terrible oppononets/partners (Anyone remember him teaming with TOA? or, currently, Minoru Suzuki). I remember seeing a match of his against Kawada that was quite interesting, so start there, but try to steer clear of the NJPW stuff.

I cant stand Sasaki, and havent seen much of Blue Wolf, Shibata, or Yoshie, barring the G-2 stuff.

Taiyo Kea's best match is commonly seen as being Kea/Mutoh from AJPW. A lot of Misawa/Tsuruta parallels. Only Misawa got over.

Nakanishi bores me, so I cant say.

Kanemoto's best work came in tag matches, IMO. Or, alternatively, there's the greatness of last years Kanemoto/AKIRA match for the IWGP Jr. title.

Havent seen much of Nakajima at all, nor MA-G-MA.

CIMA is just the fucking man. I'm yet to see him have a bad match. Start with any of his six man tags against M2k. Or, for real fun, the big 5 man Hair vs. Hair Vs. Hair Vs. Mask Vs. Mask match between CIMA, Magnum TOKYO, Masaaki Mochizuki, Dragon Kid, and Darkness Dragon.

My favorite Delfin match is Delfin vs. Tsubasa, although I cant name a date for the life of me.

As a side note, I strongly urge you, and anyone here who hasnt to go buy any tapes with Milano Collection AT on it. Awesome stuff.

Heat and Tiger Mak IV have many good singles and tag matches. Any tag they're involved in is usually decent.

Takayama's best match was probably the cage match with Chono from last year.

Yoshie's was probably against Nagata in the 03 G-1 Climax. Only match of his I've ever seen that hasn't been horrible.

Blue Wolf is utterly worthless and never been in anything resembling watchable. I suggest gouging out your eyes instead of looking for his matches.

Shibata is about as bad as Blue Wolf.

Kanemoto is starting to get old but his tag work with Gedo/Jado in 02 was fairly good. 4/23/03 vs. Tiger Mask IV was solid.

Sasaki....... eh I've never really liked the guy as I think he's a lumbering oaf but his stuff with Tenryu at the 1/4/00 show was good and his matches with Kawada during teh NJPW vs. AJPW were decent. It'd be better to look up his older stuff especially tag matches against the Steiners from the early 90s.

Kea...... he hasn't had anything to work with in a long while. I guess look for any tag matches were he was teaming with Johnny Smith in 2001.

I haven't seen a Delfin match since about 2001 so I won't comment. The others I don't really care enough to comment about. I watch NJPW mostly and hate the Young Lions.

This doesn't need a new thread, but are there any good Jun Akiyama matches out there worth finding? Did him and Kawada ever have a good/great match together?

Mitsuharu Misawa and Jun Akiyama vs Toshiaki Kawada and Akira Taue (12-6-96).

One of the best Tag Team matches ever in my opinion.

Personally, I feel as if that is the greatest tag match in wrestling history.

I really liked the series of matches between Akiyama and Nagata throughout 2002 and 2003, mainly from the 8/16/03 show. And of course the most of Akiyama's matches in 2003 G1 tournament, his bout with Tenzan was very intense.

For Akiyama, I always thought that his best matches were his matches against Kobashi, but a big standout that is VERY underrated is Akiyama/Akitoshi Saito Vs. Shinjiro Ohtani/MAsato Tanaka from the 01/10/03 show. The only bad part is Akitoshi Saito, but even he seems more motivated than usual.

Kawada and Akiyama had a HELL of a match during the 1995 Champions carnival that made its way onto part 1 of the commercial release uncut. They had a couple of singles matches in 1993, but nothing afterwards other than their yearly Champions Carnival meetings. Its a shame too, because their exchanges in the 1997 RWTL final were a huge highlight.

I agree that the Kawada/Akiyama match was really boss.....to bad they never saw it fit to start a singles program with them. I would actually be very much in favor of them working a program for the GHC in the future.....but that doesn't seem to be something to hold my breath over. But nonetheless, I still would be interested in seeing it if it ever did take place.
