How Do You Link Geocities Images?

I remember there was a thread around here that showed you how you could link to Geocities images so no red x would show up. I can't find that thread but would link to know how its done. If anyone knows, speak up... thanks.

Rename the file type to .txt

 

example:

 

image.gif to image.txt

The thread in question mentioned how if you put http://invis.free.anonymizer.com/ in front of the geocities address, you wouldn't get the red x. That stopped working for me, though, so I just use photobucket to host.
