Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted July 21, 2004 Gore got the most votes, so what? We don't elect a president like that. The Reds had the best record in baseball in '81, they didn't go the playoffs cause of the strike/split-season. Difference? the latter let it go eventually............... incidentally, that is the shittiest analogy ever. Obviously you don't remember when I compared heavy metal music to a large barrel of squid. The headbangers loved it.

Guest GreatOne Report post Posted July 23, 2004 I wasn't going for cleverness. So I guess when I compare the Red Sox as the baseball equivalent of the Democrats (always whining, will either lose to "Evil George" or find some other way to choke should they make it to the World Series--get elected) that won't work either? (Of course I won't be going for cleverness THERE either.)
