FlairBot 3000, now comes with 5 hip new catchphrases that the kids will go nuts for!

"That's why you're the champ, brother"

"You're HHH! You're the greatest wrestler in the history of this business"

"HHH for life, brother"

"I've wrestled for 30 years and been a 16 time World Champ"

The fifth catchphrase isn't a catchphrase so much as it's just unintelligable jibberish that Flair tends to spout off.

Ric Flair Speaks On WWE Title, Orton, More

Posted By Ashish on 07.29.04

He keeps talking and talking....

Interview with Ric Flair

Date: Thursday, July 29, 2004

Location: Toronto, Canada

Interviewer: Joltin' Joe

Credit: Thushyan Nadarajah of www.ringrage.com

Joltin' Joe recently had the opportunity to interview RAW superstar, Ric Flair. Unfortunately, I missed part one of this two part interview, so I'll start from part two.

The interview continues with Joe asking Flair to compare and contrast Evolution and the Four Horsemen. Flair states that all four of the Horsemen possessed excellent skills when it came to their in-ring ability as well as the microphone. He mentions that the Four Horsemen were veterans who had established themselves over time, but Evolution is a younger stable and currently has only two veterans, Triple H and himself. Flair says that both Randy Orton and Batista have a great future ahead of themselves because they're always working hard and are committed to making the product better.

Joe asks Flair for a word association segment. During this segment, Joe will name a few people and Flair has to reply with the first word that comes to his mind.

Vince McMahon - "Genius"

Jim Ross - "The best"

Eric Bischoff - "Untrustworthy"

Arn Anderson - "My best friend"

Sting - "Unlimited potential, one of the great performers"

Ricky Steamboat - "The best"

Stone Cold Steve Austin - "Biggest drawer of all-time"

Triple H - "The franchise"

The Rock - "Most charismatic athlete I've ever met in my life"

Randy Orton - "The future"

Bret Hart - "Overrated"

Mick Foley - "Overrated and overstated"

Ric Flair - "Having a good time"

Joe states that one of the most memorable feuds in pro-wrestling history involved both Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat back in 1989. Joe compliments Flair on this match and asks Flair for his thoughts on this feud. Flair says he's always had great matches because he has worked with some of the best performers. He says that Ricky Steamboat was a phenomenal performer, similar to the Shawn Michaels of today. He states that both of them are equally gifted athletes with similar wrestling styles, but were from different times.

Joe goes on to ask Flair which future wrestlers, he believes will be able to draw "mad money." Flair says he's a huge fan of Kurt Angle because he's good at everything he does. As long as Angle stays healthy, he can accomplish a lot in this business. He continues by naming Randy Orton, Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero. Flair mentions that Randy Orton is praised backstage and the company feels that he is the next big superstar.

Joe plugs WWE SummerSlam, which will be here in Toronto, Canada on August 15 and asks if Flair will be in any matches. Flair says at this point, he will not be in any matches but he will be in attendance.

Joe questions Flair about his future with the WWE. Flair says he hopes he has another title run, but if not he would still like to be with the company in some capacity.

Joe asks Flair if there's anything else he would like to tell the fans in Toronto. Flair thanks the fans of Toronto for their support for not just wrestling, but all sports. He says Toronto's an awesome city with a great audience and that he loves performing here.

The interview ends with a couple of "Woo!'s" from both Joe and Flair.

Thanks to Joltin' Joe's Wrestling Hotline for contributing. You can call (416) 350-3000 ext. 2049 to listen to the interview. Long distance charges may apply.

I look at his comments towards Sting and Bret Hart and just wonder. In his eyes Sting is greater than Hart. He said Hart wasn't a draw as champ, yet he forgets about Sting's abysmal runs.

I think Flair should shut his fucking mouth about Foley i really do. Mick Foley was a better worker than Flair during Micks prime.

Ric Flair is hilarious, he's playing this perfectly. The more he talks in vague terms about Hart and Foley, the more his motives and the content of the book are discussed. Awesome publicity drive.

What does drawing as a champ have to do with it? All Flair said about Sting is that he has unlimited potential and one of the great performers which I think is true. That's just what Flair himself thinks about him nothing else.

Flair said Hart wasn't a draw as a champ, though. Thus the Sting reference to his poor runs.
