ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 And Spike Dudley gets his first championship since he defeated William Regal in 3 seconds back in 2002 for the European Championship.
Guest PlatinumBoy Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Methinks they could/should do all 3 Dudz vs London, Kidman, and Mysterio at Summerslam with all the belts on the line (assuming London and Kidman win), like if the faces win, Rey gets his belt back, if heels (and Spike) win then Dudz get their belts back.

I think that would be what JR would call "a clash of styles".

I think that would be what JR would call "a clash of styles". They already keep running London/Kidman vs Dudz and Spike vs Rey, so I figure all of them together shouldn't be too bad--plus you could have "How much is Spike with his brothers?" going on as well. Also, I didn't see Raw, but that clip there seemed to show Benoit as pretty strong--like he had the match won until Evolution interfered and JR wasn't blabbing about Eugene as the show went off, but about Benoit.

Oh I'm not saying it would be bad by any means. Just a clash. Personally I wish they'd give London a personality and let him use his SSP. That would lead to some cool team finishers (SSP combo? Stereo SSPs?) and some damn fine matches after the inevitable split. I though that was rumored, maybe they're giving it more than a half-assed buildup.
Downhome Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Hmmm... SD goes from town to town every week, and here we have Kurt in the GM "office" getting his stuff? I love leaps of logic like this.

I love leaps of logic like this. Maybe they want us to believe that the GM offices are wheeled in and such. I'm just trying to think like the WWE would.
The Amazing Rando Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Teddy Long -- first man to GM both Raw and Smackdown (Vince doesn't count)
Anakin Flair Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Heyman speaks the truth. Heidenreich nearly kills everybody he gets into the ring with.
Guest PlatinumBoy Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Nice bump by London on that tossing backdrop there. And nice rana by London too.
The Amazing Rando Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Also... the "White Castle" crap doesn't work very well when coming back in the middle of the match.
Exslade ZX Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Ok, that Batista commercial was AWESOME! Batista for World Champ
Conspiracy_Victim Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Batista breakdancing. My night has taken a turn for the surreal.
tekcop Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 They should put all those Summerslam commercials on the DVD. That would be cool.
tekcop Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Charlie Haas should never... ever job to Billy fucking Gunn.
Guest PlatinumBoy Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Dupree looking a little to happy to have Billy bump into him there
ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Dupree looking a little to happy to have Billy bump into him there ...I'm seeing Rene being Chuck's replacement for a Billy and Chuck-esque tag team.

I could see that, but I meant errrrrr..... in the pants.... it's like oldschool Goldust
Guest PlatinumBoy Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Does Billy Gunn have a tattoo on his middle finger?
tekcop Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Did Cole just say "Rob Van Dam is smelling it here."?
Guest PlatinumBoy Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Did Cole just say "Rob Van Dam is smelling it here."? Sure sounded like it.
tekcop Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Did Cole just say "Rob Van Dam is smelling it here."? Sure sounded like it. Heh. That's funny. Y'know the spoilers made it sound like RVD & Booker would, y'know, wrestle a little bit before the match ended.
Brocklock Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Am I the only one who was suprised that Billy Gunn busted out a fisherman suplex in that match? Can anyone post the Batista commercial or even a gif. of it because I missed it.
Guest goatfish Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 The two highlights of smackdown for me were Batista's admittedly awesome breakdancing and the Spike Dudley angle. The prospect of Teddy Long as GM does have potential, but only if they keep him as he is right now, and don't have him turn heel after a month like it seems they make every other face GM do. Eddie/Kurt is fun, but I wish they would have had Angle play a pissed off role instead of getting embarassed by Eddie for the 100th time. But I want to see Kurt wrestle next week to see how his new style will play out. And of course, they kept JBL off the show, which is a plus. Decent show, and there's a lot of ways they can make their current angles go, which is a lot more intriguing then a Diva crapfest like they have on Raw.
Masked Man of Mystery Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Could someone please tell me the last time someone has done a moonsault? And I mean a real, jump-off-the-top moonsault. Not one of those split-legged ones. Edit-Nevermind, I'll accept that springboard one. Last time I recall was Chavo Sr. in his last match.
slimm44 Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Well Smackdown was pretty good. Three matches, all title matches was sort of dissapointing. I liked the JBL segment, the Eddie segment wasn't the best and the title match had too many missed hits. Pretty good show
Art Sandusky Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Tell me I didn't miss Dave "God" Batista breakdancing.
