I watched Impact for the first time today

I think TNA did some good things on this show, and other things that weren't so great:

-Jarrett beating Kenney in a minute was kind of stupid, especially with Tenay talking about Kenney's "Never say die attitude" when he attacks Jarrett a minute later. Of course Jarrett lays him out with the guitar, REALLY making Kenney look dumb.

-Good job of building to Jarrett vs. Hardy. I guess they might as well push it as the "biggest match in TNA history" huh?

-The "charismatic enigma" Jeff Hardy? That's SO stupid. I'm not into Hardy as a legitimate title contender.

-TNA is doing a really good job of making Monte Brown look like a real star. I understand he's not very good in the ring, but they should probably be pushing him like Goldberg, letting him wrestle short matches and get over as a monster. Have they been protecting him much lately? And did they really put Hardy over him a few weeks back? I don't remember what happened in that match.

-Being a big IWA-Mid South fan, I love Petey Williams (who is the IWA-MS champ). He makes a great X-Division champ, and the Canadian Destroyer rules all.

-Predictable but okay stuff with Abyss and Goldylocks, as Abyy has the "big man who gets pushed around by his manager so he'll snap and turn face soon enough" thing going on. I really wish Alex Shelley got more of a chance to show off his skills, though. Has he gotten much match time on PPV?

-The Dusty/Russo/D'Amore stuff was pretty boring. I like Shane Douglas as a backstage interview guy, as he's always been great on the mic. I think he'd make a great manager as well.

-Good six man main event.

Any other thoughts or opinions?
