Robert 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2004 Thursday January 24th, 1991 Hosts: Jim Ross and Tony Schiovanoe Opening Match: Big Van Vader defeated The Junkyard Dog at 6:12 with a Pwoerbomb. Not that great of a match between the two. It was mostly a squash match, with Vader destroying the JYD with punches. Harley Race was seen watching the match from the stage and nodded at the end. * El Gigante defeated Master Blaster Steele with the Iron Claw at 4:12. What did you expect? The match was junk, and both men are on my firing list. Me, being the idiot I am: thought they would suck it up and put on a good match. -***** United States Tag Titles Match: The Steiner Brothers wrestled to a 20 Minute Draw with Bobby Eaton and Barry Windham. Bobby had to replace Stan Lane who decided to no-show the match. The match was fantastic in psychology and spots. It was also pretty stiff with Windham and Rick nailing each other withg brutal clothelines. If I get rid of Sid, Eaton will replace him as the fourth man. This had some near falls in it, and Scott nailed some sweet spots including a Frankensteiner, Tilt-A-Whirl slam, and a Steiner Screwdriver. The four men didn't recognize the bell, and kept on fighting. ****3/4 WCW Tag Team Championship Match: Doom defeated Tom Zenk and Brian Pillman at 14:12 when Simmons caught Pillman when he jumped off the top rope into a Spinebuster. Pretty good big man/little man tag match. Doom dominated most of it, until Pillman/Zenk made a comeback. The crowd was starting to heavily cheer for the faces, until Doom won out of nowhere. Zenk/Pillman got a standing ovation for there performance. ***3/4 Debut Match: Ricky Steamboat defeated Sid Vicious at 4:13 with a Crossbody. Bad match, folks. Steamboat couldn't carry this sack of crap to something watchable. Sid didn't sell worth a lick, when he did, it sucked. Steamboat finally beat him, and The Horseman and Bobby Eaton beat Sid down after the match. * WCW United States Title/WCW World Championship Match; Only Sting's belt is on the line. Sting defeated Lex Luger via DQ when Ric Flair and Arn Anderson started to attack Sting at 32:41. Very good match here. There wasn't any carry jobs here, as the crowd loved it. Sting had Luger in The Scorpion Deathlock, when Flair and Anderson ran out. They did a good number on Sting's injured ribs (missed a Guardrail Stinger Splash.) Luger stopped it from getting worse, and cleaned house. Sting got on the mic, and told the two to bring Windham, Eaton, and somebody else to WrestleWar 1991. They will bring three other people for Wargames! It ended with the four staring each other down. ****3/

Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted August 22, 2004 Loser Leaves WCW: Sid vs El Gigante I'm praying for the double countout after both men are demolished outside the ring by the insane debuting Cactus Jack, forcing both men from WCW forever.

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2004 The Four Horseman and Big Van Vader vs Sting, Lex Luger, The Steiners, and Ricky Steamboat (If The Horseman win, they get the belts for the following: World Title: Ric Flair, US Title: Barry Windham, US Tag Team Titles: Windham and Eaton. Robert 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2004 I forgot a few of them. Team Sting wins: Ric Flair will never get a title shot again. The Four Horseman will be automatically dis-banded I think that makes the trade better than before. If they win, who will ge the TV Title belt. That could create tension between The Steiners, Steamboat, and Luger. Which could lead to a heel turn over who doesn't get the belt.
