Zombie 2 is indeed the same fiilm that us Americans know as Zombie.

just to clear this before anyone else asks:

 

Dawn of the Dead was released in Europe as "Zombi"

 

and Fulci made an unofficial sequel called "Zombi 2"

 

when Zombi 2 was released in USA it was renamed just "Zombie"

 

 

and i'm gonna get this DVD for my birthday in a few days too, and the DOTD boxset too weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~!!!

Right. Also, they had to change the name because Romero considered it copyright infringement or something since he was working on Day of the Dead(a sequel to Dawn) and Fulci releases a zombie movie that he just kind of eludes to as a sequel.
