Guest dreamer420 Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 I remember hearing awhile back that the Rock, Shane McMahon, and the Dudley's were all really tight backstage. Not sure if it was true or not
Guest bcu1979 Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 I could swear I heard that HHH and Jericho are good friends, especially after HHH's quad surgery... Are you sure about that? Because I've read that they do NOT like each other at all. Supposedly Jericho has complained to management about HHH in the past. I think you've got that reversed. Jericho would have to be a complete idiot to complain to Vince about Triple H. After all, Triple H is dating Vince's daughter and according to the Torch is considered "family" by Vince. Somehow, Jericho strikes me as being a lot smarter than Joanie Lauer. A couple of the Torch guys have implied recently that they are friends. But if that were the truth, then how could anyone possibly explain why the buildup to WrestleMania completely killed all of Jericho's heat and credibility. Their feud leading up to WM and their WM match only made one guy look and it sure wasn't Jericho. Undertaker, Rikishi, Godfather and a couple other guys are friends. I remember Rikishi mentioning their group in an interview one time. Rikishi even used the name of their clique in a wrestling storyline while he was in Memphis before he came back to WWF in 1999.
Guest Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 I don't know what the deal is with Triple H & Jericho, but I do remember reading there was a lot of heat between the two when Jericho first came to the WWF, because he was working stiff against Chyna. Also, Wasn't Brian Lee, Undertaker's Best Man at his wedding? I remember hearing JR was Austin's Best Man. I think Patterson & Brawler are "Friends" also.

Ok...this thread officially has my attention. What did Joanie complain about?
Guest hunger4unger Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Ok, you guys are just guessing. Val, Test and Albert are very good friends. Christian, Edge, Jericho, Matt H, Jeff H and Storm are all good friends, Trish is good friends (and travels with) Lilian Garcia.

Ok...this thread officially has my attention. What did Joanie complain about? I don't think anything officially. But Triple H supposedly cheated on Chyna with Steph. So from that point on, there was heat between Steph and Chyna, Vince would've caught wind of it, and that would lead to Chyna's departure. I believe Chyna herself said outright that some backstage politicking led to her leaving. Back on topic now, from pictures and stuff like that, one would assume that Raven is buddies with ex-WCW guys, like Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, DDP. As well as some ex-ECW, like Tommy Dreamer, Tazz, and The Dudleys. Steven Richards and Raven were once friends, but had a falling-out apparently while both were in WCW. No idea if that was resolved or not.
Guest Insane Clown Dan Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Wow, I never knew that so many people were BUTT-buddies in the WWF. I acknowledged the existence of backstage politics, but still WOW... And Joanie Laurer only screwed herself, in more than one sense of the word anyway, she thought she was too good for the WWF when she got a "lackluster" contract, and she quit the WWF to be an actress. *cough*more-like-an-actor*cough*

Females are actresses, not actors. Ha. You're so silly.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 I would imagine Shane Helms & the Hardyz would be friends from their days in N. Carolina. I remember reading on Kanyon's website that he's good friends w/ DDP & Kidman.

Ok...this thread officially has my attention. What did Joanie complain about? Apparently she discovered love letters from Stephanie to Triple H at some point and her response was to confront Stephanie in Vince's presence. She then proceeded to make salary demands that would have put her on the level of a Rock or a Triple H. And then the WWF told her to take a hike 6 months before her contract expired.
Guest Risk Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Even though I don't like Joanie, I think the man jokes are too old and predictable. Think of better ones. You can't blame HHH for taking the boss' hot and yound daughter, but HHH COULD be using his politics to HELP instead of protecting his spot and pushing his friends.
Guest Redhawk Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 When I went to RAW back in July, I saw Jericho in a car with Bradshaw and Faarooq. I don't know if that means they hang out, or Jericho had to go "make his bones," so to say, with the A(lways)P(ounding)A(ass).
Guest Austin3164life Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 Steve Austin and Mick Foley are very good friends, being as they were in WCW together, travelled together frequently, and they used to live together for a short time in the early ninetees. I read once in a Foley interview that he and Austin both highly admire and respect each other, and frequently visit one another on off weeks.....
Guest Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 Jericho and HHH are supposed to be friends, but I'm afraid that Jericho isn't going to get played in a round of politics when Triple H, Rock, and Austin BUTT heads since he is more aligned with Austin and Rock than HHH. Why are you afraid of that? You want him being buried even more bro? I think DDP and Raven could quite be from the way they talked during their 98 feud in WCW.When did they talk about it.

Anyone remember that? ------jp OUT
Guest Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 I read some where that the Hardy's and Helms are indeed friends.
Guest Brian Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 I meant is going to get played. Because he will basically. Everyone's a pawn in politics except the players.
Guest eiker_ir Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 i think that the Hardyz, Helms and Shannon Moore are very good friends..... if u go to Shane Helms webpage you can see pictures of them hanging out, etc........
Guest converge241 Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 forgot about the NC crew.. When did they talk about it I seem to remember them talking about training together and that WCW was going to bring in Jake because he was involved in all that..
Guest Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 The storyline, at least, was that DDP and Raven were both trained by Jake Roberts. I think there's some connection between Vince, Shane, Steph, and Linda. I think they hang out together quite a bit, or at least used to. But I'm only speculating.
Guest The Son of Sting Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 Rock said in an interview recently that his only true friends in the WWF are Austin and Jericho. I would guess that Tazz,Saturn and Dreamer are buddies. Benoit, Malenko, Eddy are all good friends. The Hardys+Lita are pals with Helms and Moore from Omega days. Foley considers DDP one of his best friends. Flair and AA Austin and JR Taker,Kane,APA all hang out.
Guest Redhawk Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 What is wrestlers court? Does it involve Bradshaw and baby oil? I hope not. More backstage buddies: Mick Foley and Yurple Vince McMahon and Bossman (how else do you explain Bossman always getting put in the main event?) Brooklyn Brawler and Pat Patterson Debra and ... um ... Steve Austin, maybe? (Seriously, I bet she annoys the shit out of Austin. I can't wait until he finally turns on her on camera)
Guest Some Guy Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 Austin and Christian are apparently friends. On teh new Austin DVD he says that the What? catchphrase was born during a message that he was leaving on Christians Cell Phone.
Guest converge241 Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 Im going to call christian's cell phone provider and thank them for giving me the "honor" of being bombarded with my least favorite "catchprase" of all time due to their shitty service
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 They had that story on wcw.com too when it was still a website. He was pretending that his phone was cutting out and he started saying what after every few words.
