Another Monster Legacy set

Universal is, indeed, planning Legacy Collection sets for three more of their Big Boys, namely The Invisible Man, The Creature, and The Mummy. Much like the Legacy Collection DVDs for Frank, Drac, and Wolife, I'm sure these collections will be a cut above anything that's out there now.

 

The tentative release date is October 5th, and here's what's likely going to be included;

 

THE CREATURE LEGACY:

Creature From The Black Lagoon

Revenge of the Creature

The Creature Walks Among Us

 

THE MUMMY LEGACY:

The Mummy

The Mummy's Hand

The Mummy's Tomb

The Mummy's Ghost

The Mummy's Curse

 

THE INVISIBLE MAN LEGACY:

The Invisible Man

The Invisible Man Returns

The Invisible Man's Revenge

The Invisible Woman

Invisible Agent

I am SO there for this stuff, well maybe not the Creature set but the other two. I haven't even seen some of those Invisible Man movies, like the Agent one and Revenge.

 

My brother is a major Kharis mark so the Mummy set is a must.

 

The Creature set? Blah, who cares? It's not really a classic monster in my view, the original was only fair and the sequels are ugh.

I never knew there were sequels of the Mummy or the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Seriously.

Really, really old news. I'll probably end up getting them, although I'm disapointed that there doesn't seem to be a gift set with busts lined up for this wave, like with the first one.

Well, the Creature sequels weren't really all that interesting or even notable. Probably the worst box set of the lot really.

 

The Mummy sequels get fairly formulaic, but are for the most part short and fun. Mummy's Hand actually might be my favorite Mummy movie, even moreso than the Karloff original.
