Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted August 30, 2004 Many thanks to reader David Glenn for sending this reporter the following live report: I attended the 8/28/04 house show of raw in Salt Lake City, and thought I would pass on a report of Edge getting injured at the show. I was front row right when edge was thrown over the top rope by Jericho. There didn’t seem to be anything Jericho could have done to prevent Edge not being hurt. When Edge hit the ground he hit very hard. He looked at a few fans who were close by and one of the security guards. Right after Edge hit the mat he said "aw F*ck Aw F*ck" the security guard asked Edge where he was hurt, he replied, "I don't know". Edge lay on the floor outside of the ring. Jericho didn't know what to do so the guard told Jericho that Edge had been counted out only a minute or so into the match. Then the gaurd and the trainer flashed the X sign and the EMT's came down to the ring. Jericho broke character by going down to speak to Edge and asking him if he was okay. Jericho seemed very worried about Edge’s condition. A Stretcher was brought out for Edge, however he managed to get up by himself and the refs carried him backstage. After the show as Edge was leaving the arena he was being helped out by Rhyno in a wheel chair. Christian, and the Coach also helped Edge into his car with Rhyno. Its good food, fun atmosphere, and tons of crap on the walls make for an enjoyable dining experience that could cheer anyone up. I tell you what, you bring a sick dying kid to Applebees, feed him some Boneless Buffalo Wings or Applebee's Potato Skins, and he'll have a full recovery in just three days. Guaranteed. Guest CronoT Report post Posted August 30, 2004 Well Orton was pretty injury prone himself for a time and he's been hurt free since June 2003. Hopefully this is just a scare and nothing more. I was really enjoying Edge's character and his feud with Y2J Why are they feuding again? The smark reason for their fued is beacuse they are both good wrestlers and have a deep driving ambition to win. The mark reason was because when the #1 Contender Battle Royale came down to Edge, Y2J and Orton, Y2J took a "cheap shot" and eliminated Edge. In other words, more lazy booking. Sucks for Edge. Taking time off allows a character to reinvent himself for his return in whatever mold they want to put him in.
