Wilco- Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

On the way to school today, I listened to the Pixies' Trompe Le Monde for the first time in a while, just on a whim.  Good album.  Better than Bossanova, but an obvious third as far as Pixies albums go.

I'm listening to Cocky right now.  Kid Rock.  Don't start!  May be new to posting here,  but I see how you put the Kid down.  I can't believe some of the songs on that CD don't get more air time.  He does keep with the autobiographical theme throughout the CD(which I dig.....know some don't),  so that may be one reason.  I'm not up for a debate as to why Kid Rock does or does not suck,  but I'm amazed that the CD hasn't gotten more play.  I thought it was one of the best of last year,  which might not be saying much to begin with;however,  I like it more than DWAC,  which is a GREAT CD.  Yes,  he's my favorite artist,  and it does kill me to see you lump him in with Linkin Park.  He has it over them and almost everyone out there going away.  I wonder if I'll get any supporters :)  I know,  not likely......

Jimi Hendrix-Electric Ladyland

Lynyrd Skynyrd-Gimme Back My Bullets

Alice In Chains-Jar of Flies(been listening to this the last month,  even before Staleys passing,  but obviously it's been getting even more rotation in my player now.  Don't Follow is one of my favorite songs)

Nirvana-Incesticide

The Beatles-Abbey Road

RHCP-Blood Suger Sex Magic

Alannis Morisette-JLP

Thanks,  Converge.  I know some people who like Rock as much as I do were split on the new album.  I actually prefer the change-up.  I love the Southern-Rock sound,  and I think he does it exceptionally well.  DWAC was great,  too.  I know that's how most got turned onto him(and I'm not sure when you got familar with him),  but I've been checking him out for a while and his sound has improved ten-fold from where I sit,  from what I like.

AIC were just great.  So many people are saying they never reached their full potential.  I think they're talking about level of notoriety,  touring,  and record sales more than anything,  but I do wish there had been a bigger output.  Same goes for Nirvana,  Hendrix,  the Doors......It's so unfortunate.

I'm currently listening to the hiss of my speakers, but earlier I was listening to The Smiths (borrowed from my friend's sister as per the recommendations of the board), and in a little bit I'm gonna plug back in my ...And You Will Know us by the Trail of Dead CD so I can try and write a review of it for the school paper.

Then I'll listen to myself as I practice my guitar for the first time in a week before going and sucking at my lesson because I only practiced today instead of all week.
