Guest Kinetic Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Also Badly Drawn Boy's About a Boy soundtrack. Is that any good? I'm reasonably fond of Bewilderbeast, but not to the point where I'd buy another one of his albums without a good reccomendation.
Guest muzanisa Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 My Uncle is track 4 on the Burrito anthology Today it's been Sleepless Nights by the Flying Burrito Brothers and Valley Girl by Frank Zappa after reading Kinetics sister's column.
Guest Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Is that any good? Considering he's working within the confines of a movie soundtrack, it's pretty damn good. It's a far more consistent album than The Hour of the Bewilderbeast, but it lacks the individual moments of greatness that Bewilderbeast acheived.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Jimi Hendrix - In Concert (bootleg LP) "Under the Table Part 2" is ending... so it's onto the last track, "Sweet Thang". Heh, bootleg LP's are funny.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Cocoa Brovaz - "Super Brooklyn" because any song that samples video game sound effects is OK with me...

Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Culture Club - "Karma Chameleon" Two words. Boy George. 'Nuff said.
Guest godthedog Posted May 13, 2002 Report Posted May 13, 2002 tank girl soundtrack. it's bringing back memories.
Guest Posted May 13, 2002 Report Posted May 13, 2002 Paul Oakenfold - "This is Trance" Before that was my #6 Memorex brand CD, which has the following tracks(in no particular order, because I always play CDs on shuffle): The Six Million Dollar Man theme (Oliver Nelson version) The Beatles - "Free as a Bird" (for my money, one o' the trippiest songs I have, as far as general floating feeling goes) U2 - "Beautiful Day" (so wonderfully moving) Basement Jaxx - "Where's Your Head At" (terrible English, but an awesome song to get people moving) A mix of the Terminator, Transformers, Clockwork Orange, and Knight Rider themes (Raw beyond belief) Daft Punk - "Harder Better Faster Stronger" (the voice makes the song) Gigi D'Agostino - "L'Amour Toujours(pimp remix)" (the best version, tied with the remix made for the video) Daft Punk - "High Life" (no voice this time, but the little sound effect is enough) Lincoln Park - "My December" (I refuse to spell Lincoln as a five year old would) The Mamas and the Papas - "I Saw Her Again" (How I love this) Moby f. Gwen Stephani - "South Side" (just really spiffy) Master P. - "Make 'em Say Uhh" (I could listen to the opening comedy part all day) De La Soul - "Me Myself and I" (a back in the day buffet) Ludicrous - "My Business(Roll Out)" (same rule as Lincoln Park applies here with names) NFL Films - "The Lineman"(NFL Films music rules, this sounds like bank robbin' music!) NFL Films - "The Equalizer"(this just makes you think of midway monsters plowing into each other on a murky, snowy Sunday afternoon in late December) NFL Films - "Cossack's Charge" (I think someone should use this as their entrance music in the WWE or elsewhere, it's too cool to pass up) NFL Films - "Round Up" (This needs to be a theme also) Black Sabbath - "Crazy Train" (overdone, who cares?) Guns and Roses - "November Rain" (sheer beauty) Of course, all this is immaterial, because Radiohead is YOUR lord and savior.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 13, 2002 Report Posted May 13, 2002 The Never Ending Story theme song... both the original and the DDR remix. I like the DDR version a lot better because I'm more used to it, but the original version has a lot more lyrics and verses and that sitar.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted May 13, 2002 Report Posted May 13, 2002 Andrew WK - I Get Wet Incidentally, I'd just like to say how jealous I am of Kinetics "King of America" caption. If only I could get "My Aim Is True" I'd be happy...
Guest Posted May 13, 2002 Report Posted May 13, 2002 Van Morrison-Brown Eyed Girl Now only if i had a brown eyed girl.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 14, 2002 Report Posted May 14, 2002 A Simple Plan - No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls Track 11 - "One Day" What? I have to review it for the school paper. It's not like I paid for it, but as far as the increasingly boring genre of pop-punk goes, it's not that bad.
Guest razazteca Posted May 14, 2002 Report Posted May 14, 2002 Dirty Vegas "Days go By" the car commercial version Nine Inch Nails & Static X Closer (Trance is the Motion remix) Ministry "Just One Fix" Slayer "Bloodline"
