I bought Nico's Chelsea Girl today, out of curiousity. I've always been sort of transfixed by her bizarre, throaty German zombie vocals on VU's debut album, so I jumped at the opportunity to pick this one up when I saw it. "The Fairest of the Seasons" and "These Days," both featured in The Royal Tenenbaums, are fantastic tracks. The Dylan song, "I'll Keep It With Mine," is also killer, as is the closer. The rest is sort of iffy. A lot of the songs are undone by over-lush instrumentation, when a more stripped-down approach would have served them well. A few of them just aren't very good. Still, I'd recommend it just for the five songs that are worthwhile. At $10, it was a sound investment.

Bruce Springsteen - Streets Of Philadelphia

I am going to see him in about a month's time. General excitement from me! I would consider this his best song, I just absobloodylutely adore it.
