JD's fantasy booking of the WWF...

Recommended Posts

WWF from Survivor Series 1997 and on!

What do you do when you have to work on a Friday night until 2:00 AM? This! Here is my revision of history from a very interesting time in wrestling history. The WWF was going downhill. Bret Hart had just been screwed by Vince McMahon the night before and was heading to WCW, soon to be joined by Jim Neidhart and the British Bulldog. WCW would do big ratings with Starcade 1997 that year, and if it wasn't for the Austin vs. McMahon storyline, who knows what would have happened to the WWF. My revision of history won't be COMPLETE. The WWF did a great job with the Austin/McMahon storyline, eventually taking over Nitro. But let's take a look at things and what may have happened with someone else in control. What if HBK didn't wrestle in a casket match at Royal Rumble 1998 and never got hurt? What if Adam Copeland (Edge) and Christian Cage (Christian) were brought up to the regular roster just a little bit sooner? Well, here's where things stand as I start my booking:

WWF world heavyweight champion: "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels (beat Bret Hart at SS97)

WWF intercontinental champion: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (beat Owen Hart at SS97)

WWF tag team champions: The Legion of Doom (beat the Godwins in October)

WWF European champion: "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels (beat British Bulldog at One Night Only)

The roster:

The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy, still just a jobber tag team)

Other talent

-----------------

Earthquake: John Tenta worked some dark matches for the WWF in early 1998, so in honor of him, why not bring him back in my fantasy booking? We love you John!

Edge and Christian: They worked dark matches in late 1997 and early 1998 before debuting in mid 1998. I'm going to use them, I'm just not sure how yet. Any suggestions? Should I bring them in as a tag team, or in separate angles?

Sean Morley/Val Venis: Another guy who worked dark matches for the WWF in early 1998 until they brought him in as Val Venis. What do you think? Should I bring him in as Val Venis or as another gimmick? Or just plain old Sean Morley?

Is there anyone else I am missing? Please let me know!

My first show will be RAW on November 10, 1997, the night after Survivor Series 1997. We'll see how this goes!

MONDAY NIGHT RAW: 11/10/97, CORREL CENTRE IN OTTAWA, ONTARIO, CANADA!

The show opens with Rick Rude coming out to the Degeneration X music and introducing the NEW WWF champion, Shawn Michaels to the Canadian fans. The fans are chanting "We want Bret!" and it seems some know very well of the "behind the scenes" of what happened the night before. Jim Ross mentions what happened at the end of Survivor Series 1997 and says that Bret Hart has left the WWF. HBK, HHH, and Chyna make their way to the ring, HBK carrying the WWF and European titles. HBK proceeds to rip into the Canadian fans, telling them that their hero Bret Hart is gone from the WWF, because he beat him with his own sharpshooter and drove him down south with the rest of the dinosaurs. HBK says he has what Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, or Bret Hart will never have, and that's God-given talent. HBK says he will be the greatest WWF champion of all time, and carry this company on his back. He says that DX now rules the wrestling world.

Enter Sergeant Slaughter, who comes to the ring and mentions how HBK's title win was controversial, but a win nonetheless. He says that if HBK wants to be the greatest champion in history, why not have a title match here tonight? HBK says that he has a month before he has to defend the belt, and doesn't feel like wrestling in front of the stupid Canadians anyways. Slaughter says he figured Shawn would say that, so instead he has booked HBK tonight in a non-title matchup against Vader! He also says it's time to find out who will face Shawn on December 7th on PPV for the world title, so there will be a match tonight between Ken Shamrock and the Undertaker! The crowd goes nuts as DX stares shocked.

Promo for the Survivor Series encore.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH ONE: Taka Michinoku vs. Devon Storm (light heavyweight tournament quarterfinals): Taka gets beat down by Storm for the majority of the match. Brian Christopher, who is on commentary for the match, loves ever minute of it, as he and Jerry Lawler constantly rip into Taka. Storm gets 2 counts with a front suplex, a death valley driver, and slingshot leg drop. Taka comes back with a swinging DDT and hits the Michinoku Driver for the pinfall in 5:00. WINNER: Taka Michinoku

After the match, Brian Christopher attacks, but Taka dumps him to the floor and does a dive onto him. The two brawl before getting pulled apart.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Backstage, Blackjack Bradshaw is throwing things around. Michael Cole reports that his partner, Barry Windham, is down in their dressing room and injured at the hands of the New Age Outlaws. Bradshaw shoves Cole aside and says he's looking for the Outlaws.

MATCH TWO: MARC MERO w/Sable vs. AHMED JOHNSON: A quick brawl ensues, as these two go back and forth for a few minutes. Mero goes for the TKO on Ahmed, who is just too heavy. Ahmed goes for the Pearl River Plunge, but Mero low blows him for the DQ at 2:27. WINNER: Ahmed Johnson, by DQ.

After the match, Mero gets a chair and clubs Ahmed with it a few times. Sable tries to get Mero to stop, and he finally does. Sable checks on Ahmed, but Mero pulls her out of the ring and heads backstage, with Sable yelling at him, "What is wrong with you?"

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Michael Cole is with the New Age Outlaws, who are dressed for a streetfight. They say that they had a lot of fun taking out Blackjack Windham, but if Bradshaw is looking for them, they're ready for a fight. Cole asks why they attacked Windham, and they say that they're going to take out every tag team in the division if they have to, until they get a shot at L.O.D...or O.L.D as they call them...for the tag team titles. They leave, and Cole says that match is up next.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH THREE: NEW AGE OUTLAWS (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) vs. BRADSHAW (Handicap anything goes match): A big brawl starts as Bradshaw attacks the Outlaws during their entrance. He slams Gunn on the ramp and takes James to the steel steps and drives him into them. Bradshaw uses a garbage can and a chair on each of the Outlaws, including hitting a SICK chairshot to the head of the Road Dogg. Back in the ring he hits a lariat on James for 2, as Gunn breaks it up. Gunn hits a low blow on Bradshaw, and then a DDT. He then hits a tornado DDT onto a chair, and both he and the Road Dogg cover Bradshaw for the three count at 3:29. WINNERS: The New Age Outlaws

The announcers hype the two big matches still to come tonight, plus an interview with Steve Austin and an interview with Goldust.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Jim Ross does an interview with Goldust, who turned on Vader last night to help Team Canada beat Team USA. Ross tells Goldust he turned on his own country. Goldust blames everything on his "fat ass dad" and his wife, Terri. He says that from now on, he's living for himself. Vader comes to the ring and asks Goldust what the hell is wrong with him. Vader says nobody turns on him, and he powerbombs Goldust before leaving.

**COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH FOUR: Shawn Michaels vs. Vader (non-title): Just about what you'd expect from these two. Michaels bumps around for Vader much to the glee of the Canadian fans, as Vader just DOMINATES for the first few minutes. HHH and Chyna do their best to turn the tide, however, interfering for the champ. HBK comes back with a top rope bulldog to Vader, and then hits his top rope elbow drop. Vader rolls to the floor, so HBK does a dive onto him and whips him into the steps. HBK rolls Vader back in, but Vader catches him coming off the top with a clothesline, and hits a belly to belly suplex. Vader goes for a powerbomb on Michaels, but as Chyna and HHH distract the referee, Goldust interferes and throws gold dust into the face of Vader. HBK into a small package and rolls Vader up for the victory at 9:41. WINNER: Shawn Michaels.

After the match, HBK delivers some Sweet Chin Music to Vader. DX celebrates.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Michael Cole introduces Stone Cold Steve Austin to a mixed reaction from the Canadian fans, though mostly positive. Cole asks Austin what it's like to have a bullseye on his chest now, and Austin says the usual about how he'll beat anyone's ass at anytime. The Nation's music hits, and Rocky Maivia comes out and says that he was impressed when Austin cruised into Survivor Series and took the IC title belt back from Owen Hart. But he says that belt is the Rock's, since Rock was the best IC champ there ever was. He asks Austin for a title match for next week. Austin laughs and accepts, and tells Rock that he doesn't suck because the fans chant that...he sucks because Stone Cold said so. Austin's music hits and he poses in the ring at each turnbuckle. The Rock runs down and attacks Austin from behind. They have a short brawl ending with the Rock getting a Stunner from Austin.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Michael Cole interviews Ken Shamrock. Shamrock says he respects Taker, but if he has to go through him to get to the title, so be it.

MATCH FIVE: The Headbangers vs. the Truth Commission (Recon and Sniper): The Truth Commission controls from the start, and beats down Mosh, isolating him. Thrasher gets a hot tag, and the Headbangers hit a few double team moves. Sniper accidentally hits Recon with a top rope clothesline, and gets dumped to the floor. Thrasher powerbombs Mosh onto Recon, and the Headbangers get the clean victory at 4:31. WINNERS: The Headbangers.

After the match the Interrogator attacks the Headbangers at Jackyl's request. The finally are able to come back and double dropkick him out of the ring. However, the New Age Outlaws then come out of nowhere and blindside the Headbangers, hitting each with a chairshot. The Outlaws quickly take off as the Headbangers lie in the middle of the ring.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Sitdown interview with Jeff Jarrett, who will be coming back soon. Jarrett says that he signed a deal saying that he is guaranteed one shot at the WWF title upon his return, and he can't wait. He says he will be waiting for the right time and then taking the belt. He says that he is a great athlete in the prime of his career, and will be WWF champion soon.

Hype for the main event, as Shamrock takes on the Undertaker next!

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH SIX: The Undertaker vs. Ken Shamrock (#1 contender's match): A slow start to this one, with some actual wrestling. Taker then turns it into a brawl, hitting lots of punches and kicks on Shamrock. Shamrock takes out Taker's leg and goes to work on the ankle and knee. Undertaker comes back with a flying clothesline and the Old School walk the ropes move. Taker tries a chokeslam, but Shamrock counters to an arm bar and into the anklelock! Taker kicks free. Shamrock tries a hurricanrana, but Taker hot shots him across the ropes and then chokeslams him! He signals for the tombstone as Kane's music hits and he heads to the ring. Taker stares down Kane as he gets into the ring...and at the same time, DX comes from behind and attacks Shamrock! Kane hits Taker a few times and then chokeslams him in the middle of the ring! HHH sets Shamrock up, and HBK drills Shamrock with Sweet Chin Music! DX then gets out of the ring as Kane hits his pyro with no winner to the match at 9:54. WINNER: No contest

MONDAY NIGHT RAW FOR 11/17/97 - FROM THE CIVIC COMPLEX IN CORNWALL, ONTARIO, CANADA!

The show starts with the DX music hitting. HBK, HHH, Chyna, and Rick Rude come to the ring, HBK still carrying the WWF title and the European title. They get on the mic and talk about how great last week was. First, they drove Bret Hart out of the WWF and down to the land of the dinosaurs. Then last week they took out Ken Shamrock in the middle of the biggest match of his career. And the Undertaker? Looks like Kane helped them out with that problem. HBK says that with the title picture now clear, he looks forward to defending the title at the next pay per view...which will just so happen to be titled "Degeneration-X", against a man he has respected for many years. A man who has been a huge part of the WWF for so many years...the Brooklyn Brawler! The Brawler comes out to the ring and HBK and HHH make fun of him a bit, having plenty of fun at his expense. HBK then knocks him out with the sweet chin music. Finally Commissioner Slaughter comes out and says that HBK shouldn't be laughing, because at Degeneration-X he'll have to defend the belt against BOTH Shamrock and the Undertaker. Shamrock then attacks DX, coming through the crowd! Everyone bails, but Rick Rude isn't so lucky and doesn't quite escape. Shamrock gives him a belly to belly and hooks the anklelock as the rest of DX bails! Officials come down and pull Shamrock off of Rude after a while, the crowd cheering him on. (This, of course, would be Rude's last appearance in the WWF)

The announcers hype tonight's main event of Steve Austin facing the Rock for the IC title! Also, as a result of what happened last week on RAW, Goldust will take on Vader one on one!

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH ONE: SCOTT TAYLOR vs. ERIC SHELLEY (light-heavyweight tournament): A pretty fast paced match. This, of course is the "pre-worm" Taylor, who wins the match with a DDT at 3:45. WINNER: Scott Taylor.

After the match, Kane's music hits and he comes out to the ring and chokeslams both men, and then gives each man the tombstone. Paul Bearer says that sooner or later the Undertaker has to realize that he is going to have to fight his brother one on one to settle things once and for all.

The announcers hype an interview with Vince McMahon tonight about the Bret Hart controversy.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Bret segment. They show footage of Bret from an interview show "Off the Record", wherein he says that he's given 30-day notice, then of him destroying a TV monitor after Survivor Series. Vince says that Bret would definitely say that he screwed him. Vince seems to have the remnants of a black eye. Vince says that Bret screwed himself. JR asks him to explain that. Vince says he doesn't always make good decisions. Vince says that it's a tradition to show respect to the organization that made the wrestler. Vince says that he was surprised that Bret wouldn't show such respect. Ross says that people on the Internet know that Bret signed a 20-year contract. JR asks Vince if Bret or Vince initiated the process. Vince says it was a joint decision. Vince says that Bret's 3-year deal with WCW is for $3 million per year, with 125 dates per year. Vince says the least he could do for Bret was to help Bret help himself. Vince says that from a business standpoint, he didn't want to lose Bret. Vince says he was very disappointed in Bret when he hit him, and says that he sustained a concussion and vision problems. Vince said he hoped Bret's story would end with giving him dignity. Vince says Bret made a selfish decision that he'll have to live with, and that he has no sympathy for Bret. Fade to black.

They say they want a title shot, and they want it next week.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH FOUR: GOLDUST vs. VADER: Dustin comes out with his left arm in a cast and sling, and wearing pantyhose. Goldust hands Vader a letter. As Vader reads it, Goldust takes his sling off and drills Vader in the head with a hammer. Goldust hits Vader a few more times in the head and walks off. The match is a no-contest.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Michael Cole stands in the middle of the ring and says he'd like to introduce the newest signee to the WWF, Double-J Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett comes down to the ring and says that when he signed his contract to come back to the WWF, it guaranteed him one shot at the WWF title. He says that he's decided that to prove he is the best wrestler in the world today, he wants his title shot on December 7th at Degeneration-X. He says that as of now, the match will be HBK vs. Taker vs. Shamrock vs. Jeff Jarrett. Sergeant Slaughter comes out and says that if that's how Jarrett wants it, fine. He also says that he looks forward to seeing Jarrett in the ring next week on RAW when he takes on a man he has a history with in the WWF, and a man who will give him quite a test in the ring...Ahmed Johnson.

Backstage, Sergeant Slaughter says RAW is going to be a big one next week, as he has talked the L.O.D, and they are going to put the tag titles on the line against the New Age Outlaws. Ken Shamrock shows up and says he wants a shot at Shawn Michaels before Degeneration-X. Slaughter agrees, and tells Shamrock to find a tag team partner for next week, as they'll take on Michaels and HHH in a tag team match.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH SIX: HHH vs. Tom Brandi: Chyna clotheslines Brandi on the floor and rolls him in, and he's easy prey for the Pedigree as HHH wins a quick one at 1:24. WINNER: HHH.

HBK talks about how it's bullshit they have to face Shamrock in a tag team match next week, and Hunter tells Slaughter to get his fat ass out there. Hunter says that Mrs. Slaughter isn't thrilled with his performance, and that he can't stand 'at attention', so to speak. Hunter says the next time Slaughter meddles with DX, he'll swing by Chez Slaughter and service his wife. Slaughter decks Hunter, but gets low blowed by Chyna. HHH pedigrees Slaughter, and DX covers him in toilet paper. The announcers talk about how disgraceful it is, etc etc.

Last minute hype for tonight's IC title match!

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH SEVEN: STEVE AUSTIN vs. THE ROCK (IC title match):

This is, not surprisingly, a big brawl to start things off, as they fight before the bell even rings. Austin ducks a clothesline and Rock knocks the referee out on accident. Rock turns around and takes a stunner from Austin. The Nation hit the ring and start to beat down Austin, but Austin starts to fight them off. Kama accidentally hits Farooq, so Austin ends up giving both of them a stunner. D'Lo comes off the top rope at Austin, but catches a stunner as well. But the Rock recovers and drills Austin with a low blow and the Rock Bottom. Rock goes outside and grabs the intercontinental title belt and sizes Austin up, and as he gets up he drills him with the belt. Austin blades, and starts to bleed as the Nation recovers. Rock beats down Austin. Farooq, Kama, and D'Lo hold Austin as the Rock kicks and punches him. Steve Blackman runs down to the ring to save Austin, but Rock drills him with right hands and Farooq drops him with a dominator. Now the D.O.A come to the ring to save Austin, but the Nation fight them off as well. The Rock hits a Rock Bottom on Crush, and Chainz and 8-Ball get taken out as well. The original refree tries to get the Nation to stop, but Kama dishes out a spinebuster to him. The Rock grabs a bloody Austin, flicks him off, and delivers a stunner to him in the middle of the ring! The Rock holds up Austin's IC title belt as the show ends! WINNER: NO CONTEST

CRASH! The glass shatters, and Steve Austin makes his way to the ring! Austin poses at each turnbuckle and then gets on the mic. He says that last week the Nation of Domination gave him an ass whupping right in the middle of the ring, four against one. He says that the Rock did something he never should have done, and that's piss the Rattlesnake off. He says the Rock stole his Intercontinental title belt, and that he's not waiting for the rest of the night to get it back. He tells the Rock to get his sorry ass to the ring now! The Nation's music hits, and the Rock and Kama make their way to the ring. The Rock holds up Austin's IC title belt and mocks Austin on the mic. Austin chases Rock to the outside, and back into the ring. Mark Henry's music hits, and he makes his way to the ring as the match starts!

MATCH ONE: STEVE AUSTIN and MARK HENRY vs. THE ROCK and KAMA: Austin and Rock brawl to start things off, and Austin gets the Thesz Press and punches on Rock. Off the ropes, and he drops the elbow. He doesn't cover, but instead continues to pound the hell out of the Rock. Kama gets into the ring and knocks Austin off, so Austin dumps him to the floor. Austin pulls Rock up and sends him into the corner. He clotheslines him and stomps a mudhole. He pulls Rock out of the corner, flicks him off, and hits the Stunner! Austin turns around...AND MARK HENRY TURNS ON HIM! Henry clotheslines Austin down and stomps him! Henry comes off the ropes and hits a big splash on Austin! Kama gets back into the ring with a chair as Henry pulls Austin up. The Rock takes the chair and cracks Austin across the head with it! The Nation beats down Austin some more as Rocky scoops up the IC title belt and takes it with him again! They leave Austin lying in the middle of the ring as the announcers talk about how there's going to be hell to pay, and how they can't believe Mark Henry is the newest member of the Nation. WINNER: No contest at about 2:00.

The announcers run down the big card tonight, with the two big tag matches, the Jarrett/Ahmed match, and an interview with Marc Mero.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH TWO: BRIAN CHRISTOPHER vs. FLASH FLANAGAN: Christopher totally dominates this match, and finishes off Flanagan with a guillotine leg drop at 3:14. WINNER: Brian Christopher.

After the match, Vader's music hits and he comes to the ring. Christopher gets out of there, and Vader dumps Flanagan out of the ring. He gets on the mic and says he wants a fight with Goldust, and he wants it now. Slaughter comes out and says that Goldust isn't here tonight, and nobody knows where he is. He says that he booked Vader versus Goldust for Degeneration-X, and if Goldust doesn't show up, he's fired. Vader nods and says that Goldust has until December 7th, because then it's Vader Time.

Michael Cole is with Ken Shamrock, and asks him who his partner will be tonight. Shamrock says wait and see. Shamrock says it'll be hard for HBK to defend his title on December 7th when he has a broken ankle, and that he's coming for the champ tonight.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

The Nation is backstage, reveling in their assault of Steve Austin. Slaughter comes by and asks them what the hell they're doing. Farooq starts to talk, but Rock cuts him off and says he's sick of hearing Austin this and Austin that. He wants a shot at the IC belt at Degeneration-X. Slaughter says Rock can have his title shot, because after what he's done he can't wait to see Rock in the ring one on one with Austin. He says he's suspending the Nation all one week without pay for their actions, and has them escorted from the building.

Hype for Ahmed vs. Jarrett which is up next.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH THREE: JEFF JARRETT vs. AHMED JOHNSON: Ahmed gets in some power stuff to start out. He gorilla pressed Jarrett and tosses him to the floor. He whips Jarrett into the steps. Jarrett sends Ahmed into the ring post and rolls him back in and hits a cross body off the top, but Ahmed catches him and slams him. Ahmed pounds away but Jarrett dropkicks the knee and works the knee over, quite Flair-like. Jarrett goes for the figure four, but Ahmed blocks and sends Jarrett to the floor. Jarrett climbs to the apron and distracts the referee as Marc Mero runs down (with Sable trying to stop him) to the ring and bashes Ahmed in the knee with a pipe! Jarrett comes back into the ring and hooks the figure four for the submission at 4:35. WINNER: Jeff Jarrett.

Mero gets in the ring and continues to beat down Ahmed with the pipe until security pulls him off. Michael Cole comes down and asks what the hell has been Mero's problem lately. Mero says everything is always about Sable and he's sick of it. He's sick of all the attention she's been getting lately. He says that he's a great wrestler and HE should be the one getting on all the magazine covers. He says "Sable, you know I love you, but your job is to make me look good." He threatens to slap sense into her if she doesn't start knowing her role. Cole asks Sable why she has to stay with a guy like Mero. Mero drills Cole with a right hand, lifts him up, and gives him a TKO on the entrance ramp! Mero storms off, dragging Sable with him.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Replay of Mero's TKO to Michael Cole. Clips of HBK beating Bret for the title at Survivor Series. We now see more of the Vince McMahon interview:

JR asks Vince if he would allow Bret to return. Vince says he would, that he would want Bret to apologize. Vince says he thinks Bret "sold out", but doesn't blame him because he helped him to do so. Vince says he wants to remember the good times. Vince says he didn't screw Bret...Bret screwed Bret, and he has no regrets for what he did.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Clips of the New Age Outlaws' actions in recent weeks.

MATCH FOUR: LEGION OF DOOM vs. NEW AGE OUTLAWS (tag team title match): Hawk and Animal beat down the Outlaws to start, and gorilla press slam them. They clothesline them to the floor. Billy and Road Dogg regroup and Gunn goes with Hawk. Gunn hits some jabs and gets a side headlock. He works over Hawk for a while, but Hawk overpowers him and hits a few clotheslines and a slam. Animal gets tagged in and hits a big shoulderblock. Gunn comes back with a suplex and tags in James. The Outlaws isolate Animal and work him over. Road Dogg goes his Shake Rattle and Roll punches and knee drop to Animal for 2. Gunn misses a guillotine leg drop off the top, and the hot tag is made to Hawk. He cleans house, and then comes off with a top rope splash (!) for 2 on Road Dogg. He tags in Animal, and they continue to beat down the Outlaws. They set up the doomsday device, but Gunn shoves Hawk off the top rope and Road Dogg gets a victory roll for the three count at 9:08! We have new tag team champions! WINNERS: New Age Outlaws

The new champs take their belts and run backstage and immediately take off into the night!

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH FIVE: STEVE BLACKMAN vs. JESUS CASTILLO: Blackman wins the match quickly with a pump kick to the face of Castillo at 1:43. WINNER: Steve Blackman.

After the match, Los Boriquas attack Blackman. CRASH! Austin's music hits and he comes to the ring and beats down the Boriquas, giving them all stunners. Of course Blackman makes his way to his feet and receives a stunner as well. Austin gets on the mic and says the Nation is lucky they left tonight because next week they're dead men. He says they all have hell to pay and he's going to walk a mudhole dry in all of them, and that's the bottom line, cuz Stone Cold said so.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Commissioner Slaughter comes down to ringside for the main event, and sits at commentary with JR and the King. They ask him why he didn't suspend DX after their actions last week, and he says that this match will be punishment enough for them. He says that DX will learn after tonight that they can't mess with the law and order of the WWF, and that's him.

MATCH SIX: HBK and HHH vs.KEN SHAMROCK and ???: Shamrock enters and waits for his partner...and it's the Undertaker! HBK and HHH shit a collective brick. The match starts, and the heels try to leave. Slaughter reminds them that if they do he'll suspend them indefinitely, and HBK will be stripped of both his titles. They return to the ring and the match starts with the faces dominating with the usual. The heels take over and beat down Shamrock for the heat portion of the match. Shamrock fights back with a hurricanrana and a belly to belly suplex on HBK, and we got our hot tag! Undertaker cleans house, and knocks HHH down with a big clothesline. He sends HBK to the floor. He DDTs HHH for 2. He picks him up for a chokeslam, but HBK comes off the top rope...but Taker catches him too! They block the double chokeslam, though, and hit a double suplex on Taker. HBK knocks Shamrock off the apron and takes him out with a pescado! HHH sets Taker up for the Pedigree, but Taker back drops out of it! Chokeslam...but HHH low blows Taker behind the refs back! HBK and Shamrock brawl on the floor as HHH gets the hell out of there and heads up the apron with Chyna...but Jim Neidhart runs out and clotheslines him down! Neidhart drags HHH back to the ring and Taker chokeslams him! Chyna tries to interfere...AND TAKER CHOKESLAMS HER TOO! Shamrock hooks the ankle lock on Michaels on the floor, and HBK is tapping out! Taker lifts up HHH...and hits the Tombstone! 1...2...3! Shamrock and Undertaker win it at 11:10. WINNERS: Ken Shamrock and the Undertaker.

The Undertaker stands tall in the middle of the ring as Kane's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. He faces down the Undertaker as we fade to black.

WWF MONDAY NIGHT RAW FOR DECEMBER 1ST, 1997 - ROANOKE, VIRGINIA!

ARE YOU READY? The DX music hits and they make their way to the ring to start the show! JR and the King welcome us to the show. DX makes their way to the ring and HBK takes the mic and talks trash about Shamrock, Taker, and Jarrett. He says none of them are even in his league, and in six days he's going to eliminate all three of them and keep his WWF title. HHH takes the mic and says he's challenging Jim Neidhart to a match at Degeneration-X. He says he doesn't know what the hell Neidhart is still doing here, since he and Shawn ran the Hart Foundation straight outta the WWF. He says he'll make sure Neidhart is gone for good after Degeneration-X. HHH also says that if Slaughter sticks his jaw in his business again, he's going to make sure he regrets it. Shamrock's music hits, and he makes his way to the ring for the contract signing that is set up in the ring. Shamrock takes the mic and says HBK can run his mouth all he wants, but last week he put him in the anklelock and Michaels tapped out. He says he'll win the WWF title in six days. Jeff Jarrett's music hits and he comes to the ring. He says he's waited a long time for this match, and he's going to become the WWF champion because he's the best wrestler in the world today. He says he's had to watch Degeneration-X for long enough, and he's taking HBK's title. He says Shamrock should have stayed in the UFC, because he's going to make Shamrock tap to the figure four on Sunday. Taker's music hits and he makes his way to the ring and says everybody will rest in piece.

Commissioner Slaughter finally comes out and says it's time to sign to official contract for this title match. He says before that, each man should know that he's scheduled to wrestle a match here tonight. He tells the Undertaker that tonight he will go one on one with a man that needs some sense knocked into him, and that's Marc Mero. He tells Jeff Jarrett that he's going to have a BIG challenge tonight, because he has to face Vader here tonight. He tells Ken Shamrock that he's going to take on Farooq of the Nation tonight. And HBK will defend his European title against Jim Neidhart. He tells them to sign the contract and they do. HBK then hits Shamrock with sweet chin music out of nowhere, and a brawl starts. Undertaker gets low blowed by HHH, and Jarrett piledrives Taker. HBK and HHH bail as Undertaker does the zombie sit up, and chokeslams Jarrett in the middle of the ring.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH ONE: BRAIN CHRISTOPHER vs. SCOTT TAYLOR (light heavyweight tournament semifinal): Christopher dominates this match until Taylor hits a DDT, but Christopher gets his foot on the rope at 2. Christopher comes back and slams Taylor off the top rope and then hits his Tennessee Jam leg drop for the three at 3:13. WINNER: Brian Christopher.

Ahmed Johnson is backstage, and Michael Cole asks him about his match on Sunday against Marc Mero. Ahmed says that it's a shame a woman as beautiful as Sable is stuck with an asshole like Mero. He says Mero is going to feel the Plunge this Sunday. Mero attacks Johnson from behind and whips him into some crates backstage. Michael Cole runs off, not wanting to get another TKO.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH TWO: JEFF JARRETT vs. VADER: Vader controls with power stuff right away, but Jarrett chop blocks him and goes after the knee. He keeps Vader on the mat and starts setting him up for the figure four leg lock. Vader fights back with a powerslam for 2. Vader hits a slam and goes for the Vader Bomb, but Goldust comes through the crowd and hits Vader in the head with a hammer again. Jarrett tosses Vader off the buckles and pulls him to the center. He hooks the figure four, and Vader is out. Jarrett wins it at 4:10. WINNER: Jeff Jarrett.

After the match, Jarrett leaves. Goldust gets in the ring and starts to choke out Vader. He picks up Vader and chokes him out on the ropes. He tears Vader's mask off, and DDT's a bloody Vader to the mat.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

The Nation of Domination's music hits, and they make their way to the ring accompanied by riot police! The Rock says that Farooq is going to kick Ken Shamrock's ass tonight just like he's going to kick Steve Austin's ass in six days for the intercontinental title. He says he's not scared of Austin, but it's good to have some protection. The Rock says it's going to feel good to take his belt back...oh wait, he says, he already did! He holds up Austin's IC title belt. The Rock's pager goes off, and he checks it. It says "316". One of the riot police rolls into the ring and takes off his helmet. It's Austin of course, and Austin delivers a stunner to the Rock! Austin dishes out Stunners to all the Nation until he is handcuffed and pulled backstage.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Clips of Austin stunning the Rock.

MATCH THREE: KEN SHAMROCK vs. FAROOQ: Back and forth brawl to start, as the Nation cheats to help Farooq out. Shamrock rallies with a hurricanrana. He tries the belly-belly, but Farooq blocks it. Farooq tries the dominator, but Shamrock flips out of it and hooks him for the anklelock! Kama runs in and Shamrock breaks the hold and dumps him to the mat. Farooq then charges at Shamrock who ducks out of the way, and Farooq collides with the Rock! Shamrock then hits the belly to belly and into the anklelock, and Farooq taps out at 5:01. WINNER: Ken Shamrock.

Farooq argues with the Rock and the rest of the Nation after the match.

We are shown Austin being taken away. Austin says he's going to destroy the Nation this Sunday.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH FOUR: Taka Michinoku vs. Aguila: A good back and forth match, with tons of high flying and high spots. Taka ends up winning with the Michinoku Driver after Aguila misses a moonsault. Taka gets the pin at 4:12. WINNER: Taka Michinoku

After the match, Kane's music hits. He comes out and tombstones both light-heavyweights. Paul Bearer gets on the mic and says week after week people will suffer until the Undertaker faces Kane. He asks why the Undertaker refuses to fight his brother? He says the day is coming when they will fight each other. Bearer is then cut off as Cactus Jack's music hits the PA to a big pop! Foley comes out with a trash can full of weapons! He says he doesn't know what the hell is going on with Kane and the Undertaker, and frankly he doesn't care! He says that Mankind couldn't get the job done against Kane at Survivor Series, but Mankind is no Cactus Jack! He says that at Degeneration-X since the Undertaker won't fight Kane, he gladly will! Jack heads to the ring and tosses his weapons in and brawls with Kane! Foley catches Kane with the mandible claw, but Kane fights out of it and chokeslams Foley onto the trash can. Kane sets off his pyro as Bearer laughs.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Michael Cole introduces the new WWF tag team champions, the New Age Outlaws. Billy and the Road Dogg come out and insult Cole. They say that they hear at Degeneration-X there's going to be the first ever tag team turmoil match. They say all the WWF tag teams are going to battle in a gauntlet match, with the winners taking on the Outlaws later that night. They say that no matter who they face at the end of the night, they're not going to lose the titles so soon after they won them. The L.O.D's music hits, and they come to the ring and the Outlaws bail. Animal asks what they're afraid of. The Headbangers come from behind and attack the Outlaws and roll them back into the ring. Hawk and Animal hit each Outlaw with a big Doomsday Device!

We see DX backstage fooling around. HBK has a pair of Bret Hart's old glasses that he used to wear to the ring. They make fun of the Hart family and say that Neidhart is going down tonight and at Degeneration-X.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

MATCH FIVE: Shawn Michaels vs. Jim Neidhart (WWF European title match): This isn't much of a match as it turns into an intense brawl right off the bat. Neidhart clotheslines Michaels and tosses him around the ring. HBK comes back with a dropkick and hammers away at the Anvil. Neidhart comes back with a corner avalanche and a powerslam on HBK for 2. HHH then interferes, hooking Neidhart by the ankle, and HBK hits the Sweet Chin Music out of nowhere for the pin at 2:45. WINNER: Shawn Michaels.

HHH comes into the ring and holds Neidhart while Chyna pummels him. He then pedigrees the Anvil. HHH gets on the mic and says that since Neidhart is the only Hart member left, he's going to send him packing at Degeneration-X. He challenges him to a match in which the loser leaves the WWF. He says there's no chance of Neidhart beating HHH, because just like the rest of his family, he's a loser.

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Backstage, DX congratulates each other. HBK tells Chyna and HHH that their night isn't over yet.

MATCH SIX: The Undertaker vs. Marc Mero: Mero slaps the Undertaker across the face to start out. Taker absolutely pummels him from pillar to post in response. Taker hits his flying clothesline for 2. He hits the Old School move and then tries a chokeslam, but Mero counters and stomps Taker's knee. Mero works the knee a bit and then the neck. He chokes Taker out and then dumps him to the floor and hits a flip over the top onto Taker. Mero sends Taker into the ring post and then rolls him back inside. Mero comes off the top with a Merosault for 2. He drops Taker with a flying clothesline, but Taker sits back up. Mero tries the TKO, but Taker easily escapes and chokeslams Mero. He signals for the tombstone, lifts Mero up, and hits it! Taker covers for the three count at 7:04. WINNER: The Undertaker.

After the match, Jeff Jarrett runs down and clips the Undertaker from behind. He hooks the figure four on the Undertaker! Ken Shamrock runs down to the ring and pulls Jarrett off and hits the belly-to-belly suplex on him! They roll to the floor and brawl there. Taker gets up, but DX hits the ring and HBK hits Taker in the head with a shovel! On the outside, Shamrock suplexes Jarrett through the timekeeper's table! Taker sits up, so HHH holds Taker and HBK hits him again with the shovel! Shamrock slides into the ring, but Chyna low blows him and HBK hits sweet chin music! HBK stands over the Undertaker and Shamrock and says that he's going to bury everybody's career at Degeneration-X. He holds his title belt high as we fade to black.

OFFICIAL PREVIEW FOR WWF IN YOUR HOUSE: DEGENERATION-X! SUNDAY, DECEMBER 7TH, LIVE ON PAY PER VIEW!

4-CORNERS ELIMINATION WWF TITLE MATCH: Shawn Michaels © vs. Undertaker vs. Ken Shamrock vs. Jeff Jarrett: Shawn Michaels doesn't have many friends in the WWF. After helping ruin the #1 contender's match between Ken Shamrock and the Undertaker, it was ruled that Michaels would have to defend the title against BOTH men at Degeneration-X! Jeff Jarrett then entered the equation, as when he resigned with the WWF he was given one shot at the WWF title. Jarrett believes that beating three of greatest wrestlers in the world today will prove how good he is. Shamrock has been one of the hottest superstars since entering the WWF, and wants to win his first WWF gold here. The Undertaker must put his brother Kane and Paul Bearer out of his mind and focus on winning the WWF title. Any of these four great superstars could walk out of Springfield as champion!

INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Steve Austin © vs. The Rock: Steve Austin is usually the hunter, not the hunted. But after winning the Intercontinental title from Owen Hart at Survivor Series, the Nation of Domination has targeted Austin. Rocky Maivia believes himself to be the greatest Intercontinental champion in WWF history, and looks to get his belt back here. The Nation has attacked Austin on numerous occasions, stolen his title belt, and even persuaded the "World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry to turn on Austin and join the Nation. Austin has sworn revenge at Degeneration-X...is there hell to pay for the Rock and the Nation?

TAG TEAM TURMOIL MATCH: Los Boriquas vs. The Legion of Doom vs. The Headbangers vs. The Truth Commission vs. D.O.A vs. Furnas and Lafon vs. Kama and D'Lo Brown vs. The New Blackjacks: Eight WWF tag teams will battle in gauntlet-style warfare to earn a shot at the new WWF tag team champions, the New Age Outlaws! Each team will randomly draw a number from 1-8, and enter the ring in that order. After a pinfall, submission, DQ, or countout, the losing team is out and the next team enters. The last team left will face the New Age Outlaws later in the night for the tag team titles!

ANYTHING GOES: Kane vs. Cactus Jack: Many think Mick Foley is a lunatic. The man behind Mankind and Dude Love returned six days ago on RAW to challenge Kane to a match at Degeneration-X! Kane defeated Mankind at Survivor Series, but now will Foley's more hardcore side bring him to victory in this anything goes match at Degeneration-X? Or will Kane's reign of terror in the WWF continue?

LOSER LEAVES THE WWF: HHH vs. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart: Jim Neidhart returned two weeks ago on RAW to attack HHH and send him back into the ring to face the Undertaker. HHH responded by helping Shawn Michaels defeat Neidhart last week on RAW and drop him with the Pedigree after the match. HHH says he's looking forward to ridding the WWF completely of the Hart family, and challenged Neidhart to a loser leaves the WWF match! But is HHH too overconfident here? Or will he send "The Anvil" packing?

SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: Vader vs. Goldust: Goldust turned on his country at Survivor Series when he refused to tag out to Vader and left the ring during the Team USA vs. Team Canada match. Vader responded by powerbombing Goldust the next night on RAW. Goldust says he wants to live for himself now, and has left his family for a new life. He has also attacked Vader on two occasions now. The big mastadon Vader will be looking for revenge at Degeneration-X...but what else may Goldust have up his sleeve?

GRUDGE MATCH: Ahmed Johnson vs. Marc Mero: Marc Mero says he's sick of everybody cheering Sable. He says he wants her to realize that her role is to make him look good. Sable will be at ringside at Degeneration-X when Mero takes on Ahmed Johnson. Will she do as she's told, or leave Mero for good? Will Mero be able to defeat the powerful Johnson?, the man who slammed him through the timekeeper's table just a few weeks ago? This should be a hard hitting matchup!

LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TOURNAMENT FINALS: Brian Christopher vs. Taka Michinoku: Who will become the first WWF light-heavyweight champion? Brian Christopher and Taka Michinoku have butted heads since entering the WWF...who will walk away Sunday night with gold around his waist?

Bump. Gonna continue on this soon and hopefully do some fun stuff. I'll try and stay away from doing what the WWF did do for the most part, though I may have to go with the Austin/McMahon storyline down the road since that worked out fairly well, huh? :)
