Guest Quik Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 I have come to the realization that I am a lazy slob, the atypical American stereotype from hell. I cannot live without TV. I cannot live without the internet. I had to drink heavily and smoke more pot in those three days then I ever did in my entire life. So of course it ends, and what do I do? Go on the internet and tell people about it. Hell, as I type this the TV is on in the background. I think the sound of keys clacking and a TV in the background comforts me more than oatmeal cookies or whatever the fuck comforts you normal people. I'm gonna sit in this chair for the next four hours, I may IM the 45 or so people on my buddy list that I never talk to; I'm not sure. It's a time to celebrate, though... and I've got the internet, TV, and a bag of Doritos. Oh yeah, I'm not fat. Just clarifying.
the max Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 I did the same thing last month, only it was involuntary as I had lost power because of Hurricane Charley.
Silence Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 I did the same thing last month, only it was involuntary as I had lost power because of Hurricane Charley. The same scenario happened to me in December of 2002 because of North Carolina's severe icestorm and I couldn't watch Smackdown. I was very impatient about the power company getting the power turned back on and it took from early Thursday morning until Sunday morning sometime around 9:00 when the power company FINALLY turned my power back on.
the max Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 I went Friday the 13th, when the storm hit, to Tuesday the 17th, when it finally came back on.
