Impact match listings

I actually have a full report here, but some of the characters seem to be stuffing up, so I'll just provide the card:

Dark matches:

- Kid Kash & Dallas vs Chris Sabin & Amazing Red

- 3 Live Kru vs Alex Shelley, Titus (w/ Jonny Fairplay) and Matt Sydal

Impact:

- AJ Styles & Jeff Hardy vs The Naturals

- Monty Brown vs Vordell Walker

- Michael Shane & Frankie Kazarian vs Jerelle Clark & Mikey Batts

- Abyss vs Bryan O

- Johnny Devine & Bobby Rude vs Elix Skipper & Chris Harris

Looks like two squashes there, but the rest seems solid.

If the 3 tag matches get the time they will be decent. I wish TNA would kill the squash matches though. I mean this is their only show now and there are still 2 squashes there. The Kash match could have easily been in place of these.

And a dark match is, yet again, probably the best match on the show.

Good thinking, TNA.

Jonny Fairplay is still around?! Somehow, TNA will fuck this up by having super-rushed matches or just plain stupid booking.

Looks like another mediocre how this week......I have pretty much gotten used to it by now though.

Cool. Now if they only had Chyna they could draw huge money.

JFP vs. Chyna = *****

Cool to see Vordell Walker though, unfortunately he's getting squashed.

Read the spoilers. This show sucks big black gorilla cock.

After having seen most of it, your analysis is shockingly accurate.

It actually took me awhile to find the spoilers. Apparently I'm not the only one who doesn't care about this show.

Now I don't know if I'd go that far. Donkey Balls? Sure, but...

There's still one question that is unanswered. How do you spell Browns name?! Monty or Monte?

Most reviews seem moderately positive. A decent transitional show from the weekly to monthly PPV era. It remains to be seen what direction they take the show in.

Quite frankly, I've never seen a TNA show that got panned by its fans.

...Can you back me up on this, Corey?

...do you mean panned by the TNA Marks, the kind found at TNS, or by the fans of the company that actually know what a good product is? Because I've panned plenty of TNA shows, even during their heyday of 2002/first half 2003.

But no, I've never seen a TNA show without a TNA Mark saying "hey, it was a good show."

Hell, remember how badly I was flamed for commenting on shows --- now universally viewed as being poor --- and calling them less than good? When I admitted that I don't pay for the shows but pirate them (which I stopped doing when the shows weren't even worth pirating)?

Those were the days.

Even in your most supportive of TNA days, you had the ability to recognize when something sucked the meat missile.

Hell, the newbies here would have no idea that you were QUITE pro-TNA for a while there. )

I'll say you'll find more realistic WWE fans than TNA fans.

People being supportive of the show they are fans of? What a shocking development. Is it truly difficult to comprehend that there isn't necessarily a universal view of quality, and that hence others may enjoy what you do not?

Donners, I have not seen you refer to a SINGLE show as "Bad". Not once.

And, hate to tell you, they aren't all great shows. They aren't all even good shows. It's only months later when, suddenly, "everybody", somehow, agrees with me.

I like the WWE. I'm more than willing to state that RAW hasn't blown me away as of late and that the new SD Tag Champs are horrid.

There's a difference between being a fan of a product, in which case you would admit its faults, and being a blind mark, in which case you would never say it's bad. Me and Mike have run into FAR too many blind marks for TNA, especially those that somehow think Michael Shane is X-Division.

I have never, ever claimed they were all good shows. Not even close. I may not have called a show "bad", but that's because I don't pass such judgments on things I haven't seen based simply on the spin others put on it. I'm not going to fork out for cards I have no interest in, especially once I know the length of the matches - hence limiting the number of possible shows I could find "bad". I'd love to see the final weekly PPV to judge it for myself, but unfortunately TNA's Video on Demand system seems to be no more.

So you like WWE, but see a few flaws in it. I like TNA, and also see a few flaws in it. I think I have brought them up from time to time. The thing is that since many people here, including yourself, frequently take the negative side. Hence, I often take the positive side for balance, which means I may not make as many negative comments as I would normally. That doesn't mean that I don't acknowledge that there are flaws with the product. I simply find that overall, I like more about it than I dislike.

You'll get those for any promotion, though. WWE, CZW, ECW, RoH...hell, there were even WWA marks, for goodness sake. They pay their money for the shows and they enjoy themselves. Good on them.

Well, if they want to lose their hard-earned dollars to a product that might fold, then sure, go ahead. But to act like there's nothing wrong at all with a company is just being blind. Hell, I'll admit it: I'm a very big ECW mark. I love watching my old ECW tapes, preferably the actual events, because there's an energy there I can't find anywhere else. But I'll also be one of the first to admit that most of the matches were terrible.
