Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted September 14, 2004 QB - Matt Hasselbeck WR - Chad Johnson, Darrell Jackson, Jerry Porter RB - Priest Holmes, Quentin Griffin TE - Randy McMichael K - Ryan Longwell Def - Green Bay Bench - Carson Palmer, Eddie Kennison, Jerry Rice, Steven Jackson, Najeh Davenport, Jim Kleinsasser, Buffalo defense Note: I have a pending trade where I'll get Kevin Jones for Steve Jackon that will go through on Wednesday. I'm not totally thrilled with my bench as Kennison and Davenport are fairly useless. I do feel better now that I have Kevin Jones as a backup. I also have the problem that I have to release Priest Holmes after this season due to the keeper rules. So who would you try and get in return for Holmes? LT, Clinton Portis, Marvin Harrison and Randy Moss all have to be released by the end of the season as well.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2004 If you are going to trade Holmes you must get either a top 5 RB or QB in return do not even think about anything else. Jerry Rice, Jim Kleinsasser, Najeh Davenport, Bills defense have to go.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2004 I think this will be Priest's last big year, so don't feel bad. You don't want him the year he gets old. Grab LT if you can get him next year. You have no depth at WR at all. Is David Terrell available? He is the main option on the Bears and should put up decent numbers. Decent wideouts with no competition tend to put up good numbers, like Boldin or McCardell last year. Rod Smith is another guy who I think is in for a big year without Sharpe around to swipe catches. Plummer looked at him quite a bit on Sunday. If Larry Johnson is available, ditch Davenport for him. He's just insurance in case Priest goes down.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted September 14, 2004 About the best I could do for active running backs is grabbing Dominic Rhodes. I ditched Rice for Terrell since it appears Rice won't be playing much this season.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 14, 2004 Jones for Jackson seems like a good trade at this point. Jones is the starter while Jackson is a backup unless Faulk gets injured. Kennison should be a passable bye week WR, since he's KC's #1 WR...by default. Bucs rookie WR Micheal Clayton is looking at a starting job with Galloway being out for awhile. He's a guy that may be flying under the radar in your league. If you're wanting to trade Priest, I'd ask for a RB near the elite level and a solid bench WR. The owner of someone like Duece, Alexander or Edgerrin would likely listen.
