Papacita Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 I don't think Gowen competed this year. I honestly can't remember seeing him since Brock shoved him down the stairs that one Smackdown.
claydude14 Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 I think the jokes were that he could not be eliminated and thus would win the Royal Rumble.
ChrisMWaters Posted September 17, 2004 Author Report Posted September 17, 2004 Edited the list a bit.
Enigma Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 The last time Gowen was on Smackdown was a week or two after No Mercy 2003 when he was attacked by Akio and Sakoda. He took their Double STO move and claimed he had a concussion, something that all the wrestlers thought he was faking. By that time, Gowen had so much heat with the wrestlers for being an arrogant prick that he was just never brought back to TV and fired early.
Guest fanofcoils Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 Take off Goldust from the list as his contract was terminated in the middle of December 2003.
claydude14 Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 Take off Goldust from the list as his contract was terminated in the middle of December 2003. http://www.gerweck.net/dustinrunnels.htm "WWE announced in November 2003 that the contract of Goldust (that expired in January 2004) would not be renewed."
SuperJerk Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 About Zac Gowen, did he compete at all during 2004? I'm not sure if he was in the rumble or if there were terrible jokes going around saying that he would have to be eliminated twice beacuse 'both feet have to touch the floor to be eliminated' *dies laughing*
