Guest CronoT Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Well, at first, I was for Carmella, but as time went by, she just started to get boring. I mean she never showed any other emotion besides smiling and she had that "Where's my paycheck?" look. I don't know when I started pulling for Christy, I think it was the night after Unforgiven. At least she shows some sort of emotion besides a smile and looks like she's having fun. Even if she knows nothing about wrestling, and only did it for the money. Also, if I remember correctly, Carmella didn't show for the Diva Dodgeball segment. I agree that Carmella always seemed to be in it for the paycheck. She laughed at Kamala, who is one of the 1980's-1990's greats. No respect from Carmella, no respect from the fans. She was booed worse than when Rock lost to Brock for the title at Summerslam a few years back.

Guest DeathBecomesYou Report post Posted September 29, 2004 You marks have been desensatized to incorporate "workrate" into judging a wrestling chicks overall hotness. Anyone who thinks Molly Holly is better looking than Carmella needs to turn their cocks in and question their heterosexuality. Workrate has nothing to do with it, it doesn't matter how good she is or isn't in the ring, she could be at Stacy level in the ring and i'd still think Molly's attractive. Is she perfect? No of course not, but she's nowhere near as bad as you're making her out to be. Even with her flaws, i'd take Molly any day of the week over Carmella, it must just be me, but I don't find a woman with shitloads of plastic surgey and a face that looks like it's been in a windtunnel to be that attractive. Shame on me.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 This broad has drawn more heat in ONE week than Torrie Wilson will in her life. But which kind of heat? "We want to pay to see you get beaten" heat (good heat) or "Get the fuck out of the ring" heat (bad heat)? Given the reported reactions to the diva search throughout the duration of the event, I'd say it's the latter And I second DeathBecomesYou as well. Not every man considers supermodels or Playboy models to be the pinnacle of male desire (I certainly don't).
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 The fact that YOU hate her is my precise reasonign why she's marketable. You completely ignore that the heat she gets now is "get the **** off my screen"/X-Pac heat. I don't "hate" her; I see her as useless and I'm not going to pay to see Christy beat her up, and if anything, a feud with her will make me less likely to see a PPV. Why do you and others keep bringing that point up, when any other time you'd say smark opinions don't matter? It's as off-base as when somebody made the silly point that HHH is a great heel because we really hate him, even though the reason many of us dislike him have nothing to do with his actual wrestling character (because we're not going to buy a PPV to see him lose; we know it's it almost never happens). And sue me, I think she's quite attractive. Who cares if I've seen her naked? Thats a moot point. If she's JUST "eye-candy" and she's already done nude shoots, a lot of interest is gone. There's absolutely nothing else interesting about her. This broad has drawn more heat in ONE week than Torrie Wilson will in her life. She gets big pops when she "returns." Then people get sick of her shortly. People are sick of Carmella now.

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Slayer *just* beat me on that last post--but I doubt Banky/the other Carmella supporters are going to buy that argument and insist she gets good heat. In short, that argument is somewhat circular at this point.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Slayer *just* beat me on that last post Took awhile for that one to sink in <g> but I doubt Banky/the other Carmella supporters are going to buy that argument and insist she gets good heat. They probably agree with the WWE's apparent philosophy that "Any heat is good heat."
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Slayer *just* beat me on that last post Took awhile for that one to sink in <g> I was between classes and didn't get a chance to read a post that just came in before mine. So sue me. They probably agree with the WWE's apparent philosophy that "Any heat is good heat." Well, it killed Steiner's push, so I don't think WWE necessarily feels that way. Otherwise, yeah, which is why the fans should have sat on their hands and not made a peep during any of the Diva Search stuff if they really hated it, but they didn't understand that. notJames 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Carmella's "promo" was horrible. She was obviously reading a cue card, and her delivery was flat, uninspired and totally lacking in conviction. Her attempt at "attitude" was laughable. I daresay her only attribute is that she's willing to show off the beef curtains in her Playboy spreads. Something I can see without horning in on my wrestling time.

In the past couple years, as far as I've seen, heat vacuums don't seem to prevent them from continuing to promote wrestlers/matches that create said vacuums either Like in the same sense that things which received good heat get inexplicably changed-up or dumped. WWE Logic, you know.

We all know that if Vince sees a good idea, he will steal it, and then claim he came up with it.
