The Missing Tape

Somewhere after Rev0 vs. HB..

 

 

Fade in.

 

The scene opens up backstage in the HP Pavillion in San Jose, California. Immediately, the fans being booing and jeering, as upon the Smarktron appears Revolution Zero, the current SWF Tag Team Champions, Spike Jenkins and Sean Davis. Each man has their strap displayed over a shoulder. Davis's HCG belt is strapped around his waist. Marcus and Jet are notably absent.

 

In front of them stands Ben Hardy, poised with microphone in hand.

 

"Good evening, I'm Ben Hardy. I'm joined by Sean Davis and Spike Jenkins, current SWF Tag Team Champions, who just came off a DQ loss to Hollywood Boulevard." Hardy looks away from the camera and the viewing audience to direct his next question toward Revolution Zero. "Spike, any reason Revolution Zero didn't give Hollywood Boulevard a fair chance earlier this evening?"

 

Jenkins scrunches his nose, a 'what are you talking about?' look on his face. "Ben, man. Hollywood Boulevard got their chance. They had their rematch, and they couldn't capitalize.. "

 

Hardy interrupts him, "You hit Todd Cortez with your title belt less than a minute into the match."

 

Sean Davis leans forward, answering for Spike. "As Tag Team champions, we felt it necessary to reserve our strength for more deserving opponents. Going into the match tonight, Spike and I did fully intend to wipe the mat with Hollywood Boulevards' faces, but plans changed. We immediately got the upper hand, and decided that Mike Van Siclen and Todd Cortez weren't worth our effort."

 

Jenkins also responds, "After such a decisive loss, Mike and Todd should consider other career paths, such as pizza delivery or even crash test dummies." Spike reaches over and grabs the microphone from Hardy, looking right into the camera. "Meanwhile, Dustin, I have you in my sights. It won't be long now before I can thank you proper for keeping my Cruiserweight Title warm for me."

 

Spike gives Ben the microphone back and walks off. Sean pauses to give the audience a menacing glare before following his tag team partner. The camera focuses on Hardy as he addresses the viewers.

 

"Who's next in line for a shot at tag team gold? Will Ryan Dustin respond to Spike's veiled challenge? All the answers and more, next time, on SWF Smarkdown."

 

Fade out.
