Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted November 2, 2004 Monday Night Raw for the first week in May with Gorilla Monsoon, Mike Tenay, and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan The Great Sasuke def. TAKA Michinoku in 15:02 following a Firethunder Powerbomb. (****) Tonight there will be a rematch between the tag champs Regal and Finlay and The Steiners for the tag team titles. "Mean" Gene Okerlund is backstage with commissioner Terry Funk. Funk says that tonight in the main event, it will be Ric Flair and Barry Windham vs. Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith. Back to the ring, where Jim Ross welcomes Eddie Guerrero to the ring for an interview. Eddie says that last night Steamboat got what was coming to him. Eddie says he hates people who don't cheat, and he took his anger out on Steamboat last night. Suddenly Ricky Steamboat comes from the crowd and we have a fist fight on our hands! Security eventually breaks it up, but Steamboat is still furious. Backstage, the Hart Foundation are ready to be interviewed. Bret says that this feud between these two stables should have ended last night when he beat Flair for the SECOND time in that ring. But since the Horsemen are obviously sore losers, and whiners, Bret and Davey Boy are gonna give them something to really whine about tonight. Highlights of the match between Chris Benoit and The Dynamite Kid from last night are shown. Chris Benoit and The Dynamite Kid def. Doug Furnas and Phil Lafon in 14:32 to become the number one contenders to the GWF Tag Team Titles when Dynamite pinned Furnas with a superplex. (***3/4) A Backlash rematch between Eddie Guerrero and Ricky Steamboat is announced for next week. Mr. Perfect def. Too Cold Scorpio in a rematch of their Free-For-All match from last night in 12:09 with the Perfectplex. (**1/2) Fit Finlay and Steven Regal def. The Steiner Brothers to retain the GWF Tag Team Titles in 12:01 by DQ. Regal tried to use knucks behind the ref's back, but Rick stole them and clocked Regal with them, just as the ref turned around, causing the disqualification. (**3/4) In the main event of the evening, Ric Flair and Barry Windham def. Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith in 25:51 when Windham pinned Bret. Bret had Windham locked in the sharpshooter, but Malenko ran out and hit Bret with a chair while Flair and the referee distracted. Windham then rolled over onto Bret for the pinfall. (***3/4) After the match, Pillman, Neidhart, and Owen all run out and we have another huge brawl. Suddenly Terry Funk walks out with a microphone and says he's had enough of this crap. He announces that at the next PPV, In Your House, these two teams will be fighting in a War Games match to finally end this feud! Raw goes off the air with the two teams STILL brawling.
