GreatWhiteNope 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2004 Recordable media was not detected in DVD+RW DVD8601 That refers to the type of disc you're trying to record to. What kind of disc do you have in the drive (DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, or DVD-RW)? Your drive may not be able to record to that format.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted October 4, 2004 I was trying to use a DVD-R. I swear that this one is suppost to work.......
Guest Lawlerm Report post Posted October 19, 2004 If your drive is called DVD+RW DVD8601 then i'd imagine it'll only take +RW discs.
Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 You may have a + Drive, which will only take +R and +RW media. Try burning with a DVD+R and see if that works. They're equivalent in price to DVD-R discs, so if you bought a spindle of the -R, you should be able to exchange them for the +R.
