The real cheater - Bush had an earpiece!

Recommended Posts

Guest GreatOne

Why yes, at one point Vince McMahon was in his earpiece directing him to urge viewers to turn over to Smackdown!

It didn't work...........................

Ah, more making baseless accusations to cover up for your guy's cheating during the debate?

Baseless? Look at the picture! Kerry pulls out a pen during the beginning of the debate and he's cheating, but Bush wears an earpiece and he's not!?

There is no way Bush cheated. He couldn't have done that poorly AND cheated.

He did as 'poorly' as Kerry 'dominated'.

Sarcasm aside, neither was the case.

Of course, some of us were, you know, actually paying attention to CONTENT and didn't judge the debate on Kerry's manicurer.

Wait, what the hell am I doing? I'm talking about content to posters that don't actually bring any. So of course Kerry won in a blowout to them....................

1) Bringing in ANYTHING was against the rules. Period. Try reading them.

2) No chance it's just the jacket not being smoothed on the back. Such is life. Funny, you'd think all of the close-ups of BUSH'S HEAD DURING THE DEBATE would have shown something.

Give me a damn break. You don't think the SECRET SERVICE can hide an earpiece? Here's one man's opinion from that link..

I've worked in theater, video and film production for 20 years. My experience leads me to believe that Bush has been using an in-ear monitor for years. He used it in the Tim Russert interview.

There are a host of clues that give it away, mostly it's his hesitant speech pattern, although I must admit he's getting better at repeating his dialogue.

There would be no external wires (that bulge and wire seen in the over-the-shoulder shots would be a wireless lavlier microphone (The mic head would be hidden under the lapel) with the lectern mic being a backup to the wireless lav).

It probably does have two-way comuunication, rather than receive only, and it probably uses the radio frequncies assigned to the Secret Service. For return signal, the handler just needs a video/audio feed from the media doing the recording.

There does NOT need to be line-of-sight worries, all they would need is an antenna inside the room, preferably near the stage, but Front Of House would do fine.

You will never see it, unless you could see straight into his ear.

I want to see the Republican's contract rider. Does it specify an inner room? Of course it will ask for a video/audio feed, but does it insist on placing an antenna inside the venue? Do they limit the event producer to specific freqs (of their wirless mics) so as to cut down on harmonic interference?

All the signs are there, it's pretty obvious that he's using one, but proving it? Well, that's the trick isn't it...

As for jamming it, the SS uses all sorts of encryption tech on their radios. First you'd have to hunt out the right frequency among all the RF in the room (including regular SS communications regarding taking out any unexpected protesters). Next one would have to crack whatever receiver encryption exists (carrier suppression, CTCSS, etc...) to get it to receive your signal and open the receiver's squelch, and last the signal would have to be stronger than the handler's.

Given the tight security, a guy running around with a radio transmitter and a directional antenna would be arrested trying to get close enough. It would be a lot easier outdoors, but he doesn't go off-prompter there does he?

No wonder Bush's camp was ADAMANT about wanting the podium's 10 feet apart, no wonder he kept hesitating.. staring off into space as if he was listening to someone in his ear.

It's piling on.

Ah, Mike, it might do you some good to read that thread once again.

I didn't know bringing a pen into the debate was considered to be cheating. If you DO label that as cheating, then there's absolutely no doubt you're just grasping for straws.

But then again, let's make another vain attempt to take any negative attention off Bush and put it back into Kerry.

Why yes, at one point Vince McMahon was in his earpiece directing him to urge viewers to turn over to Smackdown!

And GreatOne, you need to stop these terrible attempts at humor. Everytime I see you post in a Current Events topic, the quality of the subject sinks further and further. If you're going to try to prove someone wrong, at least attempt to use some kind of facts behind your statement. Your jokes are not only unfunny, but they've hurt nearly every single topic you've posted in so far.

But then again, that IS just my opinion.

Seriously, hold on to this myth. It's not all that unusual for the left to make stuff up about Bush.

Listen, I don't think it'll effect the vote at all, but to say Bush brought anything to that debate is rediculous. You don't have to agree with Kerry's points to understand that he did a better job of expressing them. You guys know that, you just won't let your partisan views go long enough to admit it.

A.K.A. - Damn we're really fucked on this one, I'll just pretend like it's no biggie.

I'll just go with the fact that there is nothing here to back up your baseless accusation.

Seriously, though, it does look like there's something stuck under his jacket in the back there. I doubt it was part of an ear-piece, or whatever, but it looks like more than 'just the jacket not being smoothed on the back'.

You've got to be shitting me

Okay both sides, you're acting like 6 year olds in a freaking sandbox

Kerry didn't have a notecard. Bush didn't have a mic.

Get FREAKING OVER IT. If this is the best EITHER side can do to convince others to vote for their man, I sure hope KANG or KUDOS comes and runs here instead.

I mean, really. How freaking Immature are we going to get here? No one had ANYTHING. There is no conspiracy, there is no Cancer Man, and there is a Spoon.

1 month before the election, and we're debating THIS?

There's no 100% clear cut pinpoint evidence, but when you look at the fucking earpiece pressing against his jacket in the picture, combined with his speech patterns during the debate, combined with him continually wanting to go back and "touch on" previous topics, it seems a bit obvious.

But you would never believe it even if Bush came out and admitted it.

I think it looks exactly like a mic under there, you've got the strip attatched to his body, and then the piece of tape going across.

True, save for:

There's no 100% clear cut pinpoint evidence

So let me get this straight again.. Kerry is a cheater for taking a pen out of his jacket, but Bush isn't a cheater for an EARPIECE? There's much more evidence for the latter.

Stop trying to dodge the POINTS, and then just pick and choose what you want to quote.

The topic isn't along those lines at all.

This topic is about trying to discover, with visual evidence, whether or not Bush had someone feeding his lines to him.

If he did, then that is an incredible breach of morality when it comes to this Presidential election, and it really COULD cost him the entire election in the end.

There's no point in closing your eyes and shutting your ears when it comes to this particular topic - especially since it could have such a huge effect in the next month.

Try reading the material, thinking intelligently, and making a well-thought post next time, instead of saying the topic is about "K3rry r00ls duder BUSH IS TEH SUXORS". You're clearly not understanding this material, or at least not even trying to.

By 100% clear cut evidence, I'm talking about actually seeing the microphone or earpiece on him.

Mike, the lack of 100% clear-cut evidence didn't stop you from assuming that the object Kerry pulled out of his pocket was a cheat sheet.

However, it does explain Kerry's performance nicely. Too bad his cheat sheet didn't include actually useful information or moderately effective policies.

-=Mike

Decide, please. Either it's okay to jump to assumptions - in which case, it is fine for us to discuss this right now - or it's completely irresponsible and unintelligent to jump to assumptions - something of which you are guilty of as well.
