Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2004 When did Letterman claim that the Gov of NJ is a pedophile? Exactly. Jokes about being gay are 1 thing. Calling him a pedophile is completely different. Like I said, I doubt anything will happen, since I don't think the comments will get too far out in the public. But they should still be careful about things like this, because they could come back to bite them in the ass if they're not careful. hell if you think about it gay jokes aren't as slanderous as they use to be because of the very slow acceptance of the media of the gay lifestyle. Suddenly gay people are seen doing Gay jokes... its definately the equation of the gay governor must be a pedophile that would be more insulting than just calling him gay Well, seeing as how McGreevey admitted he was gay, joking about it wouldn't be slander. From Websters: 1. Law. Oral communication of false statements injurious to a person's reputation. 2. A false and malicious statement or report about someone. Calling him a pedophile would fall under that.
Guest Reservoir_Kitty Report post Posted October 5, 2004 JBL is such a fucking big mouth. It's irritating that the WWE lets this man speak in public (like with the debate), because all he does is make an ass out of himself, and then try to cover up for it by saying his character is a heel. I think it's less his character and more John Layfield that thinks gays are TEH EVIL~! but using the 'character' and heel heat excuse is just an utter cop-out. Shame on Vince for allowing this to happen again, and again, and again... but I suppose Vince lost all shame years ago. He shouldn't be allowed to run his yap about politics because it only makes the company look bad - I don't think JBL cares what people think of him, but it reflects poorly on his company when he's allowed to run rampant with his stupidity. He's such a big stupid redneck.
Guest JMA Report post Posted October 5, 2004 Question: Are any of the big wrestling sites (The Observer, PWInsider, ect) reporting this incident?
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2004 Speaking of JBL I thought this would be the thread to post it in. A few days ago my sister, who use to be big into wrestling in the 80s and early 90s but, hasn't watched for a very long time, and me were watching TV when an ad for No Mercy came on. It was an ad talking about JBL and all the things he's about/done. Well after the ad my sister turns to me and say "In other words he's a Million Dollar Man copycat right?" Me: Yep. I found that to funny.
Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted October 6, 2004 Bradshaw is a fucking idiot, but that's kind of common knowledge. Outside of legal & other reprocussions, isn't shit like this the best way to kill a market? Seems like either Vince or Layfield can't tell the difference between cheap heat & potential market killing boycott heat. But, as someone once said, i'm not telling you anything you didn't already know.

Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2004 ^totally agree. The worst part? WWE will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to scold Bradshaw for the comment, staing that 'hes a bad guy' like they always do. I swear, Bradshaw could do all but physically assault someone and WWE would do nothing. He could go to Hiroshima and making a nuclear comment, nothing would be done. Fuck. Let's just hope the WWE never goes to Nevada
