So what if Thesz was never in the WWF, HE WAS IN THE WCW HALL OF FAME! shouldnt that at least mean something to McMahon and Company? Yeah but if a Canadian Football League Legend died, do you think nbc and fox would have a big tribute before their NFL games? No way

I dont blame WWF for not saying anything when Baba died but cmon thesz was from the ole USA.

In 2000 they were paying tribute to anybody that might have even been partilly known when they died. Gordon Solie was given a tribute while having never worked for the WWF, and not only was he given a small tribute, but the angle between JR, Lawler, and Tazz was a direct ripoff of an old Georgia angle between Solie, Roddy Piper, and Don Muraco. By acknowledging it then, and by mentioning Lou Thesz during every Austin match, they were forced into acknowledging it. Plus, somebody needs to keep those people without internet access informed, and who's going to do it? I got an interesting e-mail earlier today that I'd like to share. A daily column on the front page of Asahi Shinbum (one of the top selling newspapers in Japan) on May 1st was about Lou Thesz. Nippon Keizai Shinbum, better known as "Nikkei" (equivalent to Wall Street Journal here) reported Thesz's death. Both are really respected newspapers in Japan. Of course, many sports papers reported his death. When Bruiser Brody died, Zoom-in Asa ("asa" = "morning"; equiv. to "Good Morning America" here) reported his death. These all happened in the other side of Pacific, and these guys are not even Japanese. I searched for "Thesz" on CNN.com and nytimes.com but couldn't get any results. Something is wrong in this scenario.... Something is wrong indeed.
