Any October/Halloween/Horror.....

Recommended Posts

Last year I went to Sacramento's Trash Film Orgy at Crest theater. They showed Zombi 2 & Night of the Living Dead in a double feature. They serve beer at this theater, and it is a dollar off if you dress up, lol. They usually do a stage show in between movies, which consists of some 5th rate actors, acting out a scene from the movies in full garb. For Zombie, they did Shark vs. Zombie, lol.

This year they are doing it a bit different, instead of a double feature, they are doing it on the 29th, and Halloween night. They also said you can buy a reduced price ticket for both shows if you plan on going to both. The features this year are Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 on the 29th, and...........MOTEL HELL on Halloween.

The best part about this is that heckling the flick is heavily encouraged.

The TFO gets put on about 4-5 times a year, but the biggest crowds turn out for the halloween shows. The biggest crowd EVER that I have witnessed, was Friday the 13th in 2003, and obviously they did a Friday the 13th double feature. THe biggest crowd EVER and the fastest sellout ever was a few years ago when the almighty Bruce Campbell showed up for a Q & A...........

There's actually 3 24 hour marathons near me. I'd go to one if I could find someone to go with me. If I was going to go to one, It would be the theater with bar service.

I'm not sure if they're actually 24 hours, but you know what I mean.

Only two have posted guaranteed film lists

This is the best one, as it features premieres and classics.

premieres

GOZU

SAW

THE MACHINIST

THE LAST HORROR MOVIE

classics

THE INCREDIBLE 2-HEADED TRANSPLANT

DEEP RED

RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD

CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST

This one isn't bad and isn't yet a complete listing

Ringu

Shaun

Horror

Idle Hands(ok movie but i'm sure they could've done better)

The Exorcist

Blacula

Young Frankenstein

Invasion of The Body Snatchers

Bloody Mary

Between those two the choice is easy to make. The third is about an hour way, so it's doubtful.

I wish they had these things where I live. At least if they are......I haven't found them....

If anyone knows of any horror film fests in Pittsburgh......please let me know.

I'm going to the Rock N' Shock Festival tomorrow night with my girlfriend and my buddies Jay and Petone. Of course, we're arriving just to see the concert part (Misfits, Zombie Apocalypse, and others), but I'm not doubting that there'll be horror movie memorabilia and various things of horror around the Worcester Palladium (where the concert's taking place).
