Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted May 4, 2002 Sweet crap! What a huge win for Erek! I'm all for my Carnie mates, but damn, Erek! Kick-ass work! Looks like a solid show even with only 5 matches--so far I've only read Bo's main event, which had a great cluster-chaos finale and was a damn nice piece of work from the whole way through--but I like it. I'd also like to direct your attention to the first post of the show, where you can all see your lovely comments at work. Hopefully I did 'em some justice in the collation... Guest realitycheck Report post Posted May 4, 2002 You wrote that, Edwin? Excuse me as I choke back tears. That was one of the most beautiful, befitting tributes ever in the fed. I wish I'd know Mark better, that way I could of added to all the comments. It broke the SWF's sacred kayfade rule, but who cares, it was still damn beautiful. Now, onto some less mushy stuff... LOTS of upsets tonight (Or this morning, depending on where you live), huh? I've only read the opening, ME, and LHVW Title match, but this looks like an typical SWF show. And at the rate this fed goes, that means "Aewsome, glorious, wonderful, magnificent" and a buch of other gushing crap. Munich beat Raynor, in a match I'll have to read, Stryke retained, in another match I should read, but... dayum. Erek beat ELM. Wow. In a title match. Wow. Against a former world champ. Wow. What can I say? Erek, you 0wn. I do my full cheerleading pom-pom waving act, despite only being vaugely associated with you. Oh well. (Suck up points: +5) Bo beat Fallout. Wow. I'd like to say I like Bo's writing style, cause' it's the same as every other of the fed's prose writers... but different. It's ::checks thesaurus:: 'overwhelming'? Nah... 'majestic'? Mm... 'intimidating'? ...Ok. I think Bo's style is 'intimidating.' I don't think too many would argue. Read later. Tired now. Zzzz... -Z Some day, I'm going to debut the JL *SCUM* incredibly verbose comments of MILD EYESTRAIN~! for a WF show.
Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted May 4, 2002 Well i defended my title successfully and got my 20th win, yay. I was certain i'd lose, but i guess my match was good enough to beat LDP again. Onto the rest of the show, damn, a great showing from Erek, beating ELM and winning the Lightheavyweight title. Great match, and if he continues to put up efforts like that he'll be rocketing up the card in no time. The rest of the matches were great too, a great match from Da Pound, a very nice match from Munich beating Chris Raynor, Bo pulling out a super main event, defeating Fallout, and a big brawl to finish things off. Also, the opening promo ruled, a great tribute to Grand Slam. All in all quite a good show.
Guest Longdogger_Pete Report post Posted May 4, 2002 I didn't write. The one time I had a good portion of time available, I kept sitting down and nothing was coming to me. I just didn't have my heart in it this week. Ah, well. There's always next week.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted May 4, 2002 *f*cking happy and lucky* Wow. I can't believe I beat Chris Raynor. I mean..wow. The tribute to Stevens was classy and well down. Erek best ELM and took the Light Heavyweight Title. Good stuff all around by everyone. Awesome show. (Y)(Y)
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted May 4, 2002 Don't be so surprised. I suck at singles matches... Wait... No, wait... Don't be so surprised. You are a promising young writer with a great future... Yea, that sounds better. Seriously, that was one nice match.

Guest Grand Slam Report post Posted May 5, 2002 First off I would like to say that this was a good show. The matches aere solid all around with some big upsets (ELM lost? Damn!!). The JL is wicked good right now, and anyone good enough to be bumped should strike fear into our hearts. Well, your hearts. I'm retired. I read the tribute on Friday night just after the show was posted, but I haven't commented on it yet for two reasons. One, it was late Friday, and I had to get up early yesterday (went to Star Wars Celebration II in Indy). Second, I did not have the words. Thanks you to everyone. You know, you do this thing, and you win titles, and you know there are some people who like your matches, but if you spend as little time in chat or on IM as I do sometimes you start to think that regardless of hw long you have been here people don't really know who you are or care about what you have done. One of the reasons I wanted the retirement angle to be as good as it was (Thanks Edwin) was to make people notice I left. But the comments I have received, cluminating in the tribute on Friday, made me realize that I was a real part of a community here, and a respected one. For that I thank you. I know how much work went into this, and I talked to Edwin who told me about how everyone sent in a little section and he pulled it all together. I am overwhelmed. Speechless. I do not have the words to express my feelings other thank to say "Thank You" and bow. This really does make some of the long mornings and afternoons writing matches seem worthwhile. And it puts a nice little bow on my retirement. And believe it or not, it brought a tear to my eye. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank You All.
