Elimination Chamber

Recommended Posts

What's up everyone?

i'm excited about this year's survivor series. it's one of my favorite PPVs. I got to attend survivor series 2002 at madison square garden, main evented by the first elimination chamber match.

i'm curious if anyone thinks the wwe will bring back the elimination chamber in the near future. considering all the hype they made about the first match, i thought it was going to be the marquee match for survivor series (like war games for wcw fall brawl).

any thoughts?

thanks for reading.

Yeah, because this thread hasn't been done to death..........

Could a MOD put this thing to sleep? If people want to talk about SS so much to the point of starting multiple threads then somebody should just make the "OAO Surivor Series Discussion" thread.

If you did that then there would be nothing left to talk about anymore, lol.

Not saying it's a bad idea, just saying about WWE in general.

Back on topic though...

I like the EC matches, but right now is not a good time for one, especially for Raw. An EC match should have some kind of unpredictability as to who's going to win. Right now, for Raw, no matter what other five wrestlers you put in the match, you know HHH is going to win. The possible list of contenders for Survivor Series are Orton, Jericho, Benoit, Batista, Flair, Shelton Benjamin, and Edge. I think that everyone, including the marks, probably know by now that they are likely holding off the HHH-Orton rematch until WM, and there's no way that any of the others, except MAYBE Edge, would be given a title win with such little build (2 more weeks?).

In order for an EC to actually draw some excitement, the other five guys obviously have to be built up almost equally. Obviously, WWE really screwed that up with both of the matches so far, with only HHH & HBK looking strong the first time, and HHH & Goldberg looking strong the second time (See a pattern?). Plus, the other two times were basically excuses to get the others onto the PPV, especially the second one. Nobody on Raw looks strong right now except HHH, Orton, and Edge, so WWE should definitely hold off.
