TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 As PWInsider.com broke yesterday on the site, Randy Savage is already done with the company. There were quite a few wrestlers in the back upset with Kevin Nash's promo in the opening segment of Impact! at the taping last night. The feeling was that Nash took so long with his promo that it caused time to be cut from a number of segments for the remainder of the show as Impact! is done live to tape. BG Jammes was said to have been very vocal to management about the situation, even throwing the NWA Tag Team championship belt for emphasis. One of the things cut from Impact! due to Nash going over time was the ring entrance of Kid Kash, Kazarian and Michael Shane for their six man tag match. They were said to be thrilled with that, considering most weeks even enhancement talent gets ring entrances on the show. Michael Shane was said to have yelled at Bob Ryder backstage over the situation as well as over frustration over a promo that was filmed and not used on the show, despite taking ten takes to film. A lot of people in the back took notice that when Monty Brown won his match at Impact! during the same segment that featured the debut of Diamond Dallas Page, all of the focus was on DDP, with even ring announcer Jeremy Borash asking the crowd to "Welcome to newest member of TNA." Brown was said to be trying hard to get the crowd to pop, but all the attention was on Page. The first of the Fox Sports Network's TNA Best Damned Sports Show specials will air tonight. Check your local listing for the starting time. Scheduled for tonight's show are the following matches and performers: *Chris Sabin vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Primetime - Ultimate X Match *AJ Styles vs. Alex Shelley *America's Most Wanted vs. Kid Kash & Dallas *Kazarian vs. Christopher Daniels *Raven vs. Ron Killings *Puppet vs. Teo in a Hardcore Puppet Match with Tom Arnold as the special referee *Also appearing will be Roddy Piper, Monty Brown, 3 Live Kru, and The Naturals. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Ten takes?!?! Shouldn't this guy have a clue on how to do a promo by now?
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted November 10, 2004 This is not good news. People upset with the newly arriving old guys after two shows can only lead to bigger problems down the road.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 10, 2004 I wouldn't really take it seriously until someone other than BG James is whining.
TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2004 More news from PWInsider.com As PWInsider.com reported this morning, the backstage scene at the Impact! taping last night in Orlando, Florida was pretty chaotic. To start things off, Randy Savage pulled out of the show without any real notice, so the entire taping had to be re-written. I believe TNA taped Xplosion first to give themselves more time to put together a revised Impact! script. Kevin Nash's interview in the opening segment of Impact! went close to 15 minutes when the segment was actually booked to only go 3-4 minutes total. At one point during the interview Nash actually said, "Since I don't have a script, I'll say what I want." When word got back to the boys that their segments were going to be greatly reduced so Impact! could still fit into its one hour parameter, everyone went nuts. 3 Live Kru's match was cut down to just a minute, which set BG Jammes off into a frenzy. Bob Ryder did his best to try and placate everyone, but ended up taking a ton of verbal abuse in the back from the boys, especially Jammes, for his troubles. Panda Energy's Bob Carter actually sent out the invitation for Hulk Hogan to attend the Victory Road PPV so Hogan could check out the product himself and see if he would like to get involved with the company. Kevin Nash was telling a lot of people backstage that was looking forward to working with AJ Styles. There were quite a few people who raised their eyebrows to that one, given Nash's past track record at putting people over in a way that actually raises their value while in WCW. Well, if Nash is going to be a little bitch Styles could easily shoot on him in the ring. Shit, half this forum could work their way into another torn quad for "Big Sexy"
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2004 If A.J. Styles decided to shoot on Kevin Nash, he would be killed. As small as A.J. Styles looks beside guys like Jeff Jarrett, he probably looks like one of the Mexican Minis beside Kevin Nash. I'm watching the replay of last night's show right now, Raven vs. Ron Killings should be good.
