Metal Slug 3 or Sonic Mega Collection Plus?

I have a Xbox, and the only games I have for it are Star Wars Knights of Old Republic, Morrowind, and Halo. I want to build on that with getting a new game with my paycheck. Anyone who has played MS3 and/or SMC+, give me feedback so I can decide which to get. Any help would be appreciated.

Metal Slug 3 is awesome totally awesome, get that. I thnk though that Im the only man on earth who feels that the Sonic games have aged terribly and don't hold up well at all by todays standards.

Sonic and company are pretty much selling now on name value alone. Get something that'll at least be worth your while.

Metal Slug 3 also may end up a rare item. On the other hand, you'll have tons of SMCs to pick from used for about 10 bucks later on.

 

I've got both, though. However, I also have Sonic Jam.

 

I think they've aged very well (the Sonic games), but the GG ones aren't worth bothering with, and not all of the Sonics are great. Comix Zone and Ristar are very good games, though, so you get an excellent value out of the collection. The inability of them to squeeze Sonic CD on it *still* is disappointing, though.

You're going to get a bigger bang for your buck if you decide to change your mind and go for the Mega Collection. 20 games for 20 bucks = better deal.

Actually I saw a few MS3 games at the local store.

Comix Zone is pretty good, but you can get it for a couple bucks used for the Genesis.

 

The Game Gear games are...well, some of them are okay, but they passed up putting Triple Trouble and Sonic 2 GG (the hardest Sonic game of all perhaps, up there with Spinball) and put in the AWFUL Sonic Labyrinth and Sonic Blast.

 

Sonic Adventure DX has *all* of the GG games, too. So I think only The Ooze (sucks) and Comic Zone (good, but not worth it by itself) are truly new to Plus (Ooze and CZ were in the Japanese SMC, but not our version).
