Streisand's Jefferson quote in full

You might have seen this on OMGSLUDGEREPORT~! but Barbra Streisand had this quote from Jefferson in 1798:

A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government to its true principles. It is true that in the meantime we are suffering deeply in spirit, and incurring the horrors of a war and long oppressions of enormous public debt......If the game runs sometimes against us at home we must have patience till luck turns, and then we shall have an opportunity of winning back the principles we have lost, for this is a game where principles are at stake.

I remember reading this and rolling my eyes but a blog I read on a regular basis did a little digging and came up with the full version. Here's what comes right before it:

Seeing, therefore, that an association of men who will not quarrel with one another is a thing which never yet existed, from the greatest confederacy of nations down to a town meeting or a vestry, seeing that we must have somebody to quarrel with, I had rather keep our New England associates for that purpose than to see our bickerings transferred to others. They are circumscribed within such narrow limits, & their population so full, that their numbers will ever be the minority, and they are marked, like the Jews, with such a peculiarity of character as to constitute from that circumstance the natural division of our parties.

Plus, it must seem that Barbra must be taking tips from Maureen Dowd considering what she leaves out in the elippses:

But who can say what would be the evils of a scission, and when & where they would end? Better keep together as we are, hawl off from Europe as soon as we can, & from all attachments to any portions of it. And if we feel their power just sufficiently to hoop us together, it will be the happiest situation in which we can exist.

Thanks for making the point for us Barbra you dumb bitch.

Everyone knows this bitch is a massive hypocrite. Now she is quoting TJ, as if Jefferson is somehow on her side.

I saw the bitch's house while I was in St Thomas, Virgin Islands. We were cruising out to a lagoon and the guide pointed out a house she owned on a beautiful cliff right by the sea. I imagine it takes a lot of oil to keep that house going...

All the dumbasses on the catamaran ooohed and aaahed and wanted to take pictures of her house. A couple of "oh, I just love her!" utterances could be heard. I wanted to wretch over the side of the boat.

Why does the bitch stay here?...just go ahead and move to another country already.

All I say is this.

It's Barbara Streisand...the woman best known in Hollywood as the "LOOK AT MEEE!!!!" woman.

It's really hard for me to take anything she says anymore seriously. If it doesn't effect Barbara, it's not important.

Lump her in with Alec Baldwin.

You all wanna go? Fine, you won't be missed.

Excellent example of the extravagant lifestyle that Ms. Streisand leads, Swift.

I saw her and hubby Mr. Streisand trying to escape a paparazzi, in their big white Ford SUV. Oh you should not drive an SUV, but it is quite OK for her.

I believe T.J. was referring to the birthing pains of a new democracy as the United States continued to suffer insult and subversion from England, that was finally resolved in 1812...

...Not the rejected policies offered by the immoral, Godless, counter-culture 60's hippie generation, in the last election.

Remember Liberalism is a mental disease and Babs is the poster child. I believe we are in the beginnings of a total breakdown of the far left. They are lashing out with hate filled lies, deception, personal attacks and in some cases, violence. Its really fun to watch. Especially the journalists.

Liberal hypocrisy is not a new thing. Heck, Rosie O'Donnell caught some heat when it came out that her bodyguard wanted to carry a concealed weapon to protect her children.

Or, in other words, her protecting her child with guns was fine --- you doing so was a problem.

The Democrats are collapsing. Not the far left.

C'mon, man. The reason we're such extremists is so you won't confuse us with the Democrats anymore. Have a heart.

Tell me Smitty..

In the basement of your parent's house, on what radio station do you listen to ‘Air America?’ Or do you just watch ‘Air America, The Al Franken Show’ , on your parent's cable television?

Oh no he dih-unt.

Never listened to it. Live in my own apartment.

You're the one making extremist, radical statements there, guy. You can continue to do so, but I will continue to point them out.

P.S. Since we're on the subject of talk radio, have you read this?
