Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 16, 2004 I can definitely see Atlanta getting homefield advantage this year. Philly's really damn good, but they're vulnerable. Certainly didn't seem like it tonight against Dallas, but wow the Cowboys are TERRIBLE. They've only been getting worse and worse as the season has gone on. I say, Green Bay has the toughest schedule out of the "top teams" in the NFC.. @Houston, vs. St Louis, @Philly, vs. Jacksonville, vs. Detroit, @Minnesota, @Chicago I'm sorry but if the Packers somehow win out all those games (I'm fully expecting them to drop either the Philly or Minnesota game at least), there's a strong possibility you can really start considering them Super Bowl contenders. Their secondary will be tested in the next 3 games, with Carr/Johnson, Bulger/Holt/Bruce, and McNabb/Owens coming up, and of course two strong defenses in Jacksonville and Chicago, and bloodthirsty offensive shootouts with Detroit and Minnesota. No, if the Packers make the playoffs this year, there certainly won't be any backing into it like last year.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2004 Anyone from the NFC who SLIPS into the playoffs can be considered a superbowl contender, considering that Philly is regarded as the cream of the crop in the NFC, and their defense is garbage.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2004 @Houston, vs. St Louis, @Philly, vs. Jacksonville, vs. Detroit, @Minnesota, @Chicago The home games should be wins (Jags without Leftwich, Rams suck outdoors, Lions decimated by injuries), as will be @Chicago (no way are they going to be down for that after losing to Chicago in Lambeau). The key is @Houston. If they win that, then they can lose to both Philly & Minny and still have a good shot of making the playoffs at 10-6 in the NFC. After that they should focus on @Minny to take the division. @Philly is a game they don't need to win, they probably won't catch the Eagles anyways. Learn from that for a potential Philly rematch in the playoffs.
